We loved this pop up Greek restaurant! The wines were fantastic and very different - my husband and I split a premium tasting of 5 wines but we actually tried 6. The food was also really amazing - everything we tried was delicious. The atmosphere upstairs is not the most notable part, but it makes conversation easy - and the food/wine are the stars of the restaurant so we didn't mind the lack of atmosphere. We loved the personal attention and stories from our host and wine expert - was one of the best parts of the night!

This is the best Greek food I have eaten. It is a pop-up at Prequel. The meatballs are a must try, sort of crispy on the outside, delicious. I tried the rabbit on my first visit and goat stew on my second visit both were so good. The owners are from Greece and are very helpful in explaining the menu. They also have a nice selection of Greek wines.

Excellent, authentic, locally-sourced (when possible) Greek cuisine. Starting platter had a variety of fantastic Greek cheeses, delicious sun-dried black olives, local bread (Breadfurst) with a tomato-olive oil spread. Tried a variety of dishes--the lamb with pasta was excellent, as were the meatballs. Very unusual Greek wine list--much, more more than retsina. Attentive service. Very close to Gallery Place and Metro Center, so easy to get to via Metro. Hip, slightly upscale ambiance. Go there after visiting the National Portrait Gallery!

Very strong execution due to freshness and authenticity of ingredients (just like your Greek grandma would make it), though it is a pop-up restaurant so the menu is understandably narrow. Interesting wine selection.

Oenosophia is yet another example of a pop up restaurant that hits way above its weight. Occupying the main floor at Prequel, Oenosophia is a perfect example of how DC's restaurant scene has arrived. The meals are served family style and while the menu isn't extensive, it does offer a nice array of traditional Greek dishes, exquisitely prepared and well executed. Even the meatballs (which desperately called for some type of sauce) were perfectly seasoned and delicately fried. But the biggest hit is the wine list. Greek wines don't enjoy the same type of attention as their Italian and French counterparts, but the all-Greek wine list at Oenosophia is easily the best in the City. If you love wine, then I suggest you try Oenosophia as you will soon see many of the wines on their list featured in some of DC's best restaurants. Of course, by then the price of admission will be much higher!

I wanted to love this restaurant but, alas, we could not. We found the food to be on the salty side and not nearly as amazing as we expected. My husband had the steak and ended up cutting off nearly half because of fat. My scallops were nice and large but boring. The wait staff could be best described as Meh. The dining room is quite small with only a 8 or so tables with only 1 real decoration. Because of the high ceiling and lack of soft materials, the room was an echo chamber.
