I really enjoy it from the seating to the waiter he was doing a awesome job he gave us the best option and advice for food always asking if everything was ok and making sure our drinks were full. Ramon did such a good job that he the only reason we always come back he is a amazing makes us feel loved and well i think he works hard to see a smile on his coustmer thank you odyssey
This restaurant has a great view.. Go when you can be outside. Dinner is delightful. Enjoy the menu. Brunch on of those way tooo much food and again only go if you can be outside.
It was perfect! We got the corner booth table . . . our waitress was wonderful! Especially loved the shrimp fajitas . . . the nice lady cooking them is a very hard worker!!!
Don't burn the steak!
I can't believe we paid for burn meat, Norms...all the way!
The location is extraordinary. The restaurant is pretty and has great view of the Valley. The food fort that price should taste better. The stakes were ok. I order rack of lamb. The lamb was very good, but the side dish potato was raw. It was a disappointment. Though on the other hand, I can't say there are better restaurants around. You will love the view. Maybe it is a better idea to get only appetizers and drink to enjoy the view.
Overall good experience. Table next to us was a bit loud for the ambiance but we weathered it. Food was tasty and portions were a good size. Nevertheless, I think the prices are a bit high.
Three stars for food/service; that at least two major parties requiring attention and enough staff. Staff did the best they could. Great place to meet for lunch if friends are coming from all directions.
The main course was great we had the new York steak which wasn't cooked to rare like I asked but still amazing and the ribs. We also got the sampler, and the street tacos wernt that great due to having crunchy meat but the shrimp was amazing. But as well our brussel sprouts wenrt that good And had to much vinegar.
To finish it off the molten chocolate cake was amazing a day after.
The waiter was not attentive and failed to get our order right. My son’s meal came late after the rest of us after telling them 3 times that we were missing a meal. We did not get bread after we asked twice. My drink order was wrong. After being here several times, this was unfortunately not the best experience. Not sure if I will be returning after what happened.
On this Sunday brunch they put our party of five in the bar at a make shift table. Our waitress was the bartender. Service was not to this restaurant standards on this Sunday. Food went down, no eggs Benedict did not replenish the food in a timely way. We will go back one more time and give it another try.
We took my Mom to brunch for her birthday and we all loved it. We hadn't been there in over 20 years. We wont be forgetting The Odyssey again any time soon!! The food was great. A very nice balance of old school brunch options (breakfast basics, carving station, bananas foster!! etc...) and newer choices . (Fajita bar, sushi, raw oysters.. etc). The service was exceptional. We will definitely be going back again.
I went on a date here, and while the menu can be a bit pricey (It is a higher end restaurant, so not really an issue there) the quality of the food certainly matches the price. The view is excellent, although it was obscured most of the evening by rain clouds (again, not really an issue, view was excellent while it was visible.) They have a great wine selection, and the service staff was quite courteous and helpful. I'd recommend this place for any romantic outing if you are lookoing for something special.
Terrible menu options awful service this place has changed for the worse.
I have business lunches here about three times a month and wouldn’t keep going back unless it was good. And it is!
This restaurant has a great view of the valley, plenty of parking, but the food menu can improve, and they need to have more chefs and waiters as we waited a long time for our food, during a very slow time at the restaurant. We ate around 2, and the food was ok
Have lunch there frequently. Go to the brunch often. Been going there for decades. Brunch is fun with lots of variety and unlimited champaigne. Expensive but worth it.
A good value for $50, the extensive brunch offerings span the usual (prime rib, pasta, omelet bar) to the unexpected (pork belly buns and ceviche). They are generous with the mimosas and champagne, and if the diner prefers to start brunch with a Bloody Mary or sangria, they are quite reasonably priced. There's an entire dessert room with waffles and Bananas Foster along with the usual array of eclairs, petits-four, cheesecake, and so on. None of the food is excellent, but it's all good, and some of it is very good. People were piling plates high with crab legs and oysters, so you can certainly get your money's worth in seafood alone.
Get there early for best table selection as well as food--by noon, when we left, they didn't seem to be refilling the food stations quite so readily. You may not be able to avoid being seated next to a table for fourteen hard-partying women, as we were last Sunday, but the noise level is part of the ambience. There are lots of families and kids partaking of the meal, so this is a happy place. Perhaps not the place for an intimate dinner or a marriage proposal, but a place for a celebration, for sure.
Our server was nowhere to be found for long expanses of time at the beginning of the meal, and when we finally did get our cocktails (a 20 minute wait), they were noticeably watered down, as though they'd been sitting. However, he was quite attentive for the last half-hour, topping off our mimosas constantly--might that be because it was close to tipping time? Or is that too cynical? The employees refilling food stations were accommodating but seemed to be overworked--a couple of extra waiters and a couple of extra staff members on the floor might have made a big difference in the service level.
If you can get an outdoor table, do--those are some lovely spots. Overall, it's a good, if noisy, place for a celebration. You will certainly not go home hungry, and you'll walk away feeling you've spent your time and money well.
Sunday Brunch is excellent big display of foods, and Tammy never lets our glass get empty.
Went here for a birthday brunch and it was phenomenal! They have some wonderful items on the buffet, things I haven't seen on a lot of other brunch buffets. Like little slabs of bacon that are marinated and roasted, so fricken good! Little pork belly steam buns that are to die for! And the service by Ramon was fantastic!!
Birthday gathering with fifteen of us.....very accommodating....what a fun experience. Thank you!!!!!
I felt that the food was "catering" food for the masses not for the individual diner. The view and venue are beautiful but the food was average. My husband's carrot had a hair on it. They gave us a free dessert. Yes, I would go back to watch the view, have a glass of wine and maybe an appetizer but not dinner.
The interior is very outdated, carpet on floor smelled.
We had a fear time- our server was very nice and professional
The restaurant was nearly empty but the service was slow. It appeared to be only one waiter working. It was cold inside and excuses made for it being so cold.
The food was mediocre. For the price (expensive) it was not worth it.
I say this with a basis of comparison because it years past it was a great experience but not so much the last couple times I went. Most likely will not be returning again.
our evening was so perfect! the restaurant was so beautiful. in better weather, outdoors would be divine to sit on the patio! loved it!
Loved it!!! We wanted something special and we got it. The food was incredible.
We enjoyed a very nice Brunch with a wonderful view!
We've been customers for many years (since first moving to the valley in 1988) but Odyssey has gone "downhill" over time. The Sunday brunch used to include caviar, many more salad selections, more than one "soup" choice and other things that made it a more attractive value. This past Sunday (Feb 18) some down sides: There was exactly one soup, and when it ran out was not refilled for an hour; there were no soup bowls at all, and when I found a wait person to ask about this, they went in the kitchen and never came back -- 10 mins later, still no bowls. There was a sushi selection but I strongly suspect no real Sushi chef, and no dipping bowls at all. If you're going to offer sushi, there should always be soy sauce and dipping bowls -- lots and lots of them (what do they cost? a dollar each for really nice ones?). No condiments on the tables other than salt and pepper, which also seems a bit ridiculous for a restaurant serving such a wide variety of food types. After visiting Odyssey probably fifty times over 30 years, I'm quite sure we will not be back.
This is our second time here celebrating an occasion. The first time it was slightly above average rating in my opinion and I have decided to pass on leaving the review, I wanted to give this place another chance. I now truly regret coming back here.
First of all, I left 2 voice mails to confirm my reservation and had few questions, NOBODY called me back.
Second, we got there on time but got seated 30 minutes later. What’s the point of reservation?
Third, We did not know that there was a buffet brunch going on without any option of ordering food of off menu. The buffet was a DISASTER!!!!!!!!! So many people, half of the trays were empty and not restocked on time, low staff/guest ratio. Dirty plates everywhere. Food on the floor and on the chairs. I can go on, but I thought you get the point.
We always leave with a smile! Food is fantastic, service is awesome. Every employee from the moment you check in, escorted to your table and to service during your meal is all the way around a 5 star experience.. Thank you to everyone for making our celebration day so special. 😊
Amazing food and an amazing view! I proposed to my girlfriend out on the patio/viewing outdoor area. She loved it! She also said yes! Nice romantic evening.
My husband and I went on a date night to this suggested place. It was amazing for exactly what we were looking for. Very romantic!
Always a great place with exceptional atmosphere. Great view of the valley lights. Food is always good and never a problem with our order. Thanks
Although I made a reservation, we were not seated until 20 minutes later. It seemed the restaurant was short-staffed tonight. Tables not bussed promptly, servers doing double duty. Not the usual level of service at this establishment.
Excellent from start to finish
Went for Valentine's Day Had their Prix Fixe Menu ... my only complaint was our food did take a while to receive though it was delicious... received our 2nd course prior to 1st Course took forever to receive bread then once we did receive seemed like slivers of Sliced Bread rather than the hot crusty rolls others were receiving would've rather not had bread at all but appreciate the gesture .... considering the circumstances we completely understood and still enjoyed ourselves very much so even purchased a photo from the friendly photographer to commemorate the evening
We had an absolutely dreadful Valentine’s Day dinner here last night. I am so beyond disappointed.
As part of their prix fixe menu, I ordered the filet mignon medium rare and my fiancé ordered the chicken. His chicken was dry and flavorless - frankly it tasted like it had been left sitting under the warming lamps for too long. And the orzo pasta that came with it was extremely bland. My steak was well done in most places, with a small area of medium well in the middle. I immediately alerted our server who indicated she’d be getting me a new steak...but 5 minutes later she came back with the overcooked steak and asked me if I wanted it more done or less done. I re-explained that I had ordered it medium rare and would like it that way, to which she replied “oh I think it looks medium.” Our server then disappeared for 15 minutes. My fiancé finished his food. We waited another 10 minutes before asking her for an update and she explained that the kitchen had a lot of tickets. Five minutes later, our server said my steak was ready and she was waiting for a manager to bring it out to me. Finally, 35 minutes after I sent the first overcooked steak back, our server arrived with a new steak. I cut in to the steak and it was predominately well done, with one small medium well spot. It tasted like a badly charred hamburger (not a filet mignon from a $95 prix fixe menu). Dismayed, I told our server it was again overdone and she said a manager would be coming over to speak with me. A manager finally stopped by and I explained the situation to her. They took my meal off the check, however still charged us full price for my fiancé’s dinner.
Our Valentine’s Day dinner was completely ruined. The worst part is we’re out ~$100 for what was a truly awful dining experience, and only one of us got to even eat!
I would caution you to stay far away from this place, especially if you’re trying to celebrate a special occasion.
Great for Valentine's Day date with my wife. It was a bit pricey but still worth it for a special occasion. Fantastic view, good atmosphere but would have been better if they didn't have a television on in the dining area. I get having one on at the bar area but murder scenes on a tv show while you're having a romantic dinner....not the best mix. Other than that, it was great.
The staff are great from the reception to the waiters and waitress. Great view where we were seated. The food was excellent, reasonable portions but a bit expensive.
cannot say all the good about my night out. We really enjoyed everything. The negatives were , 1. a bit high priced ( but I figured on that) 2. for our taste it was alittle dark for reading the menu.
The food was great as was everyone who helped or served us. will not wait 25 years to go back again.
