The Odyssey Restaurant is a vision of the Valley, featuring fine dining with a breathtaking view from any area in the dining room. Everything gleams from the oak paneling, brass fixtures to the crystalline windows and panoramic view of San Fernando Valley.

The Odyssey is home to the SRC Farm where the culinary team grows a wide variety of vegetables, fruits and herbs used in their fresh, seasonal, local menus.The Odyssey offers delicious, innovative California cuisine specializing in prime steaks and fresh seafood. On Sundays, the Odyssey serves their award-winning champagne Sunday offering over 100 specialty items.

The Odyssey also offers a modern lounge and cocktail patio with the same spectacular view as the restaurant. The lounge features a full bar and happy hour, which is offered Monday through Friday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

We've been customers for many years (since first moving to the valley in 1988) but Odyssey has gone "downhill" over time. The Sunday brunch used to include caviar, many more salad selections, more than one "soup" choice and other things that made it a more attractive value. This past Sunday (Feb 18) some down sides: There was exactly one soup, and when it ran out was not refilled for an hour; there were no soup bowls at all, and when I found a wait person to ask about this, they went in the kitchen and never came back -- 10 mins later, still no bowls. There was a sushi selection but I strongly suspect no real Sushi chef, and no dipping bowls at all. If you're going to offer sushi, there should always be soy sauce and dipping bowls -- lots and lots of them (what do they cost? a dollar each for really nice ones?). No condiments on the tables other than salt and pepper, which also seems a bit ridiculous for a restaurant serving such a wide variety of food types. After visiting Odyssey probably fifty times over 30 years, I'm quite sure we will not be back.

This is our second time here celebrating an occasion. The first time it was slightly above average rating in my opinion and I have decided to pass on leaving the review, I wanted to give this place another chance. I now truly regret coming back here.

First of all, I left 2 voice mails to confirm my reservation and had few questions, NOBODY called me back.

Second, we got there on time but got seated 30 minutes later. What’s the point of reservation?

Third, We did not know that there was a buffet brunch going on without any option of ordering food of off menu. The buffet was a DISASTER!!!!!!!!! So many people, half of the trays were empty and not restocked on time, low staff/guest ratio. Dirty plates everywhere. Food on the floor and on the chairs. I can go on, but I thought you get the point.

We always leave with a smile! Food is fantastic, service is awesome. Every employee from the moment you check in, escorted to your table and to service during your meal is all the way around a 5 star experience.. Thank you to everyone for making our celebration day so special. 😊

Amazing food and an amazing view! I proposed to my girlfriend out on the patio/viewing outdoor area. She loved it! She also said yes! Nice romantic evening.

Although I made a reservation, we were not seated until 20 minutes later. It seemed the restaurant was short-staffed tonight. Tables not bussed promptly, servers doing double duty. Not the usual level of service at this establishment.

Went for Valentine's Day Had their Prix Fixe Menu ... my only complaint was our food did take a while to receive though it was delicious... received our 2nd course prior to 1st Course took forever to receive bread then once we did receive seemed like slivers of Sliced Bread rather than the hot crusty rolls others were receiving would've rather not had bread at all but appreciate the gesture .... considering the circumstances we completely understood and still enjoyed ourselves very much so even purchased a photo from the friendly photographer to commemorate the evening

We had an absolutely dreadful Valentine’s Day dinner here last night. I am so beyond disappointed.

As part of their prix fixe menu, I ordered the filet mignon medium rare and my fiancé ordered the chicken. His chicken was dry and flavorless - frankly it tasted like it had been left sitting under the warming lamps for too long. And the orzo pasta that came with it was extremely bland. My steak was well done in most places, with a small area of medium well in the middle. I immediately alerted our server who indicated she’d be getting me a new steak...but 5 minutes later she came back with the overcooked steak and asked me if I wanted it more done or less done. I re-explained that I had ordered it medium rare and would like it that way, to which she replied “oh I think it looks medium.” Our server then disappeared for 15 minutes. My fiancé finished his food. We waited another 10 minutes before asking her for an update and she explained that the kitchen had a lot of tickets. Five minutes later, our server said my steak was ready and she was waiting for a manager to bring it out to me. Finally, 35 minutes after I sent the first overcooked steak back, our server arrived with a new steak. I cut in to the steak and it was predominately well done, with one small medium well spot. It tasted like a badly charred hamburger (not a filet mignon from a $95 prix fixe menu). Dismayed, I told our server it was again overdone and she said a manager would be coming over to speak with me. A manager finally stopped by and I explained the situation to her. They took my meal off the check, however still charged us full price for my fiancé’s dinner.

Our Valentine’s Day dinner was completely ruined. The worst part is we’re out ~$100 for what was a truly awful dining experience, and only one of us got to even eat!

I would caution you to stay far away from this place, especially if you’re trying to celebrate a special occasion.

Great for Valentine's Day date with my wife. It was a bit pricey but still worth it for a special occasion. Fantastic view, good atmosphere but would have been better if they didn't have a television on in the dining area. I get having one on at the bar area but murder scenes on a tv show while you're having a romantic dinner....not the best mix. Other than that, it was great.

cannot say all the good about my night out. We really enjoyed everything. The negatives were , 1. a bit high priced ( but I figured on that) 2. for our taste it was alittle dark for reading the menu.
The food was great as was everyone who helped or served us. will not wait 25 years to go back again.

This restaurant has unique and very tasty dishes that are artistically presented. It has a quiet but relaxed atmosphere. It sits on a hill with a panoramic view of the San Fernando Valley. The food, both lunch and dinner, is always delicious and meticulously prepared. I particularly like the lunch buffet. Our dinner was an event to remember for Valentine's day. The food and the service were both outstanding.

Beautiful view and good service. Wife enjoyed the Polynesian shrimp entrée. I ordered the swordfish entrée and was disappointed. Fish was overcooked and dry. Returned the dish and the chef made it over. The second piece was better but still a bit dry. The sauce with heirloom tomato and artichoke hearts was delicious. The house salad was very nice. Next time I will try a different entrée. Thank you for the wonderful surprise birthday dessert. We will be back again soon.
