Food was so so. Crab cake was only one piece which was disappointing and over priced considering it was only one piece.

Staff was friendly and courteous. Disappointed that the menu is so limited....but that being said - our meals were all delicious (hot, plated nicely and satisfying). We appreciate that a special occasion is celebrated (the slice of cheese cake was amazing! ).

The filet mignon that my dad and I shared was not good at all. The middle of the steak was extremely mushy and the steak tasted like rusted iron. I expected so much more from the odyssey. I had a good experience when I had dinner the day prior and ordered the salmon. Please, odyssey, please up your game when it comes to steak. The waiter really did try his best and I do believe the service is great. I really love the odyssey but was very disappointed with the filet mignon meal.

We came here to celebrate my son's birthday. The food was delicious, super fresh. The Pomegranate Margarita was just perfect. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing with beautiful views. Customer service was great. Our server Cynthia really went out of her way to make sure we were happy with everything. It truly was a special evening. I'm looking forward to trying the brunch.

It was probably the worst meal I’ve ever had the food was cold the ambience not great. We had a table in the lower level with a dance floor and mostly empty tables with bright lights and no background music. We had to ask for water a few times. The food was cold and we had to send it back twice.
I would never go back to this restaurant again.
Unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience.

This was not a fine dining experience. We were relegated to a freezing basement room - absolutely no ambience. Our server did his best in an understaffed situation. The food was mediocre with no water refills and a dessert that must have been microwaved and took 45 min to be served after ordering. $400 later…..won’t be returning EVER. Sticking to Ruth’s Chris in the future.

Cynthia, our server, made the evening perfect. Truly went above and beyond in so many ways. This was our anniversary dinner and every moment was lovely...and delicious. My Ahi was butter soft and my husband's steak was done perfectly.

My husband and I were here for Thanksgiving dinner. We had 5pm reservation and waited for 20. Min before we were seated which didn’t make sense since they were just opening for their dinner service. The menu that was given didn’t show the Thanksgiving meal we had to ask for it. That was weird , you would have thought that would have been first thing mentioned. We received our meal so quickly that we weren’t able to enjoy our appetizer. The meal came and was lukewarm. My husband asked if we should have them heat it but I said no because the turkey was already dry if re-heated it was really going to be dry. Now on to desert. The waitress never suggested it we had to ask. Once again, this was “Thanksgiving.”
I felt like they were understaffed , unorganized and weren’t prepared for the Thanksgiving dinner rush. My advice, if you’re not going to do the Holiday dinners right than don’t do it at all!!!!!

I hate to say this because I truly love the Odyssey. So many wonderful memories of this place. The inside of the restaurant speaks to a former time—it’s dark wood interior with the crackling fireplace and breathtaking views of the valley….the expansive bar with the twinkling glasses set against the backdrop of floor to ceiling windows—it is transportive. You can FEEL its history as a serious steakhouse and event space…just by walking in and looking around. Unfortunately, what is going on inside The Odyssey is more akin to what you would experience at a diner. I am not trying to be mean. Everyone was so nice…but omg. The food was truly subpar. The table was dusty. We had to hunt people down to get things we needed, and it wasn’t that busy. Undercooked calamari….it was thanksgiving and we were offered a brunch menu (did the pilgrims eat French toast and eggs? I wasn’t aware), when we balked at that, we were then told that there were “Thanksgiving plates” we could eat. Ok! Now we’re talking, we’ll have that. The plates….I mean, I imagine people at soup kitchens had better food. I’m sorry. The stuffing was hard and dry—a brick. The mashed potatoes were served one scoop per person with one drizzle of gravy each. Totally bland and unappetizing. We also had butter knives to cut our meat and it was impossible.

The bill was expensive…which we expected. It’s just interesting that the quality of the experience has gone down so much but the prices have stayed the same.

We are just sad for the restaurant…my parents grew up in the valley in the 60s and they remember when their make out spot became a fancy restaurant and the jewel of the valley! We have had parties and raucous brunches to beat the band and we will never forget our times there. But we will not be back. Fare thee well, Odyssey.

No pumpkin pie or rolls. Expected menu to include thanksgiving dessert such pie as an option. All the staff at the Odyssey were amazing. Sweetly serving on a national holiday. When I made reservation on Nov 2. The menu that would be on thanksgiving was completely different menu than when we arrived. (It wasnt an inclusive menu as I had anticipated. (When I made initial reservation drinks and dessert was included as a set price for $45.) Thank you to all those whom worked to serve today. However It didn’t feel like I was dining at the Odyssey on Thanksgiving. We were in one of the event rooms rather than the restaurant. Thankful I didn’t cook this year and thankful to our memorable server Maria.

Thanksgiving meal a la cart style was just a single plate of food. No selection avail. Food took very long to come out, when it did it was cold, I had to ask them to microwave my mothers plate. The broccoli was barely cooked, completely crunchy. No decorations anywhere to acknowledge the holiday. It was not a nice thanksgiving for my family.

Kids ordered French toast, both came undercooked and gooey in the middle, not edible. I ordered Denver omelet, dry, overcooked, tasteless. The middle had a small area that wasn’t terrible.
Service was excellent, we were seated quickly and checked on often. Very nice and professional staff.
They didn’t charge me for the French toast, so that’s a plus.

I had a great time, everthing was really good, and my server was very nice. the only thing i felt a little discriminated by the a girl in the front, the one who sat us down. She took us , we walked and she sat us on a table in a corner when ther was plenty of nicer spaces, but our server noticed and she didnt even told us anything she just politely asked would you like this table w the view, and she made my night. and everyone was nice. except the first one i spoke to ... I feel we should be judged i felt a little upset becuase i did noticed her discrimination.

The pandemic hit the Odyssey hard. While our waiter was good, the food, the ambiance, and front-of-house staff were sorely lacking on this visit - the place and staff seemed tired.

The last time I was here was pre-pandemic for their Sunday Buffet Brunch which never disappoints.

I ordered the prime rib and eggs benedict, the prime wasn't cooked as I asked, and I never got the eggs benedict, instead, they gave me scrambled eggs. At this point, it would have seemed more trouble to ask for what I ordered.

Won't be back unless they bring back the Sunday Buffet Brunch.

Our food was cold. I had Eggs Benedict and my niece had French toast -- but items were tasty but they were both cold. We did not send it back because we had to get to LAX but for the price of the items, the server should have brought them when the food was still hot.

I'd like to preface my comments with a statement that I acknowledge we’re in a very strange time, and I am refining my comments based on that, but we were extremely disappointed with the food and lack of awareness by the staff on our recent visit. They’re new menu is in a word horrible. Each one of us ordered something different and each item was less than subpar, while being extremely overpriced. The steak we ordered as medium was still bleeding when cut into it. We used to love coming here but will sadly probably not return. The restaurant was very light on customers, but it still took 2 hours to have brunch. The waiter was pleasant and tried his hardest but was uninformed on the menu and overburdened with the amount of tables he was covering. He did say that they're having a very hard time getting anyone to want to work and they can't keep chefs. I hope this is just growing pains, as I understand they just reopened for brunch. The only good thing about our visit, was this view.

The view is out of this world and we come mainly for the Calamari. You have to try it. We will definitely be back. One of our favorite restaurants. The servers are really nice too and treat you good! Our server went out her way to make sure our cheese board was absolutely perfect.

Was a great decision to bring mom and dad for their 30th anniversary. The food was perfect, the sound was nice and quiet, and while it was cold and we sat on the patio, our server was kind enough to bring us an additional heater. It is pricey, but well worth the cost.

Limited Menu, No soup due to staffing shortages. Certain cocktail drink ingredients not available from already limited menu, on a Friday night with several weddings or Quinceaneras taking place. Server was very nice but seemed overwhelmed with limited items available. Bread was delicious. We had appetizers and left. We were not expecting a fine dining experience but do hope that they can improve. Yes, they are asking to see verification of vaccination.

Last night we went to the Odyssey because we were celebrating a special occasion. I've always loved this restaurant up on the hill for the gorgeous view of the valley. The food is a little pricey but it is usually tasty! The ambience is lovely. It was a bit quiet, which I liked! They sat us at the window and we got a perfect view of the valley and of their nice outdoor dining area with lots of elegant looking fire pits. The wine was very good, also. We had a merlot and cabernet Sauvignon and both were perfect. We will be back, though not as often as we like because it's above our price range but for special occasions, this restaurant is our number once choice!!!
