It was great! Our server was amazing, but it did seem like she needed help with her tables. It took longer than usual to get our drinks refilled and when we would look at our server she seemed to be overwhelmed with all the other tables. I do not think this is the fault of the server but it might just have been too busy for just one person. Other than that it was an amazing brunch! Will be back soon!
Our server, Donny, was heroic, sprinting among various parties in a full house for this evening. Somehow he was still attentive and helpful to our party of four during our delicious dinner. Highly recommended!
The special Wine Tasting Menu for the month was very good. The choices were great and the food was delicious. Our server, Donnie, tried but was new and somewhat unsure of himself.
Great experience and night! Our waiter Donnie was the best!!!
The view was nice. When the food finally got to us it was very good but not spectacular. The service was as bad as I’ve ever had. Donnie, you got some explaining to do homie! The manager compted our dinner. When he asked how our dinner was , all I could say was that they did everything wrong.
Great food & service
A 4:45 pm reservation took almost 2 hours. Once we ordered our food, it still took 45 minutes to get our food. Service was terrible.
Love the views and beet salad. We had the steak and frites and the frites were cold. We sent them back and the new ones were no better. Bread was outstanding.
We have decided that this is one place we will never go to again. We both had the only Chicken dish on the menu, and it was dry and tasteless. The raspberry vinaigrette had no flavor other than olive oil. We won't be going there again.
Beautiful view, great seating. Waiter was attentive and enjoyed the food.
It was a great evening . Thankfully we got nice seating with view. Def coming back.
We came here to celebrate my friends birthday and was it the best choice. Their mango habanero shrimp is amazing and the cesar plank salmon is so flavorful. We got a window seat per request by me and we got to see a nice view of the valley
The wait was a bit long even though we had a reservation. 25 minutes but there’s comfortable seating and out doors to walk around. Our dining area was super busy when we got there and the servers were slammed. It quieted down after a bit and they were very attentive. Food was great. The bottomless mimosas and super buffet is the best. We’ll be back!!!
it was a nice place in the hills with a nice view of the valley and friendly service
I have been eating here since the late 1980’s. It has always been a good meal. Their Sunday brunch is the best, and the best value I’ve ever had. Saturday night was dinner with 2 gurkfryebds. We had 7pm reservations (through open table) while they were not that busy, we did wait 1/2 hour to be seated. We were in no rush as we just wanted time to catch up with each other. But it took 45 minutes to get our drinks, and it was an hour before we ordered. In spite of all that the meal was excellent. It was eat LA week, and they had a promo 3 course meal due $39. We all ordered it. As appetizers we had the shrimp and the beet Dakar- both were excellent. The clam chowder was just ok, and Luke warm when served. We all ordered the salmon for the main course, and it was fantastic. The 3rd course was dessert. Two of us ordered the creme brûlée (it was excellent) and the other had the chocolate cake- which she enjoyed. As I said, I’ve been coming here over 30 years. The view can not be beat- you overlook the entire valley. It’s so beautiful at night when it’s all lit up. its a beautiful facility, with private rooms to rent. The bar also overlooks the entire valley. I moved out of that area on 2000, but still love to eat there when I go back. Donny was our waiter- and was very personable and friendly... he did a great job.
I love Odyssey. We were there last weekend and enjoyed some delicious food. The view is spectacular and the vibe is homey but also quite fancy. Our waiter, Donny, took very good care of us and was there just enough to make sure we had everything we needed but not so much that he was at all intrusive. The only negative I can think of is that the music was not to our taste and was a little bit intrusive. We would have preferred something quieter and less of a specific genre that we don’t care for. Still, our overall experience was excellent and we would definitely recommend Odyssey for a special night out.
Food took too long, was cold and customer service was very poor
It was too dark and was hard to see the food though the candle was on the table.
Also it was hard to see the face each other.
The other table customers were using the light of iPhone to see the menu.
The main dish was very good though we waited quite long time after appetizer & salad.
The wine recommended by the waiter was too sweet for me.
Although the meal itself was good, the service left a lot to be desired.
No table settings, period. Just an empty wooden table? There were no bread plates on our table, yet bread and butter and spreads were brought out. No one bothered to bring any bread plates out, throughout the meal. It was extremely difficult to flag a waiter, or any staff down.
The wait time to receive our meals was beyond long, slow slow service; the waiter told us our meals were going to be out shortly, and half an hour later we still did not have our meals.
No manager on site overlooking the chaos in the dining room.
Overall our experience to celebrate our 11 year wedding anniversary, which by the way was written in on the reservation; and ignored by the staff— shockingly, was mediocre at best.
The food was great except the Calif omelette which was too much vegetable and not enough egg, and the outside was scorched brown. We also didn’t get bread right away and had to ask for it much later, and never got the tabasco we requested.
But overall we love Odyssey 💕
Food and service very good
It was great as always!
Our server Chris is amazing
We will be back again soon 😊
Ramon was an excellent server
My wife and I were married here a thousand years ago. First time back. It was nice. Pretty good food choices. Lighting was good. We asked to sit at a window table but weren’t granted that. Kinda upset me because there were a few window tables open the whole time we were there. Food was above average. Waiters were extremely slow. Very slow. We were seated over five minutes before we were helped. A few times our drinks were empty and we had to ask someone to get our waiter. Price was good. About $50 per person. We didn’t buy alcohol.
The Odyssey was very understanding and flexible with my plan to propose at the restaurant. I made my reservation online through opentable which was easy. Talked to the restaurant about my plans and they accommodated me. It was also our two year anniversary so they provided a complimentary cheesecake slice dessert that said “Happy Anniversary”. We enjoyed the calm romantic ambiance and the lighting was dim but it gave it a romantic touch. The views were amazing and although the patio was closed due to high winds that night they allowed us to check out the views and I was able to propose. Thank you Odyssey! It was a memorable fun experience we enjoyed.
Love this place. Took my boyfriend for his birthday dinner. Showed up early and caught a basketball game at the bar & got to see practically 360 view of the sunset above the city - So beautiful. Great happy hour menu. Amazing vibe all around. The interior style is almost old timey ship like. The dinner was amazing - server was perfect. We got a burger and prime rib, started with habenero mango shrimp (all three choices I would order again FOR SURE!). I can't wait to bring friends and family back here!
I lives in the valley but never get to go try this place ever since. Today is my birthday and I decided to go to a place close by and not too crowded. Megan yes MEGAN! She was our served! Woow, She’s the BEST waitress to impressed! She offered me a FREE birthday cake and so helpful to lighten up the candle when it’s so windy outside! We didn’t want any desert after but she was NICE enough to give me and make my day even more special! Thanks again! 🥰
Many items on the breakfast buffet were cold. Even when staff would bring fresh dishes out the dish seemed to be Luke warm.
This is the second time we have had the same problem at this restaurant and will no longer go there. The service was terrible we waited 40 minutes after we were seated for the drinks we ordered, After 15 minutes I had to flag down a waiter and ask for my soup. 20 more minutes I still didn’t have my drink, we asked and spoke to the manager and left the restaurant without eating.
Wow great New year's eve dinning experience service was great thanks Donnie food was excellent ,definitely a night to remember.
I was really disappointed with the fixed menu that was provided that I was unaware of because of it being new years eve. 3 first , 3 second courses, and 3 desserts. I had requested a window which was no guarantee, so I decided to wait for a table with a view. Once seated, our server asked if we were ready to order, he handed my wife and I menu and walked away, didnt ask if we wanted anything to drink to start. Once I looked at the menu, I only new of one thing I would eat, filet mignon. It took another 20 mins for him to pitch us the wine, which I wanted a mixed drink, which I never received. My wife and I both ordered the filet mignon, which was ok, but $96 ok. The entree came with a beef carpaccio which was the worst I've ever had. I also noticed that everyone there wasnt finishing the carpaccio either which says alot. My 9 year old daughter ordered the chicken strips which tasted like they were cooked in old oil along with the fries. I did talk to the manager that day and I told her I was unaware of the fixed menu because I had booked online and let her know how dissatisfied with the food, she said she would make it right and took my bill, she came back and said she would take off the chicken strips, which she did, but stuck me with the horrible experience, bad food and customer service, which was still over 200 bucks. Oh I did get a complimentary piece of chocolate cake to go since it was my anniversary, and my troubles. I'm sure I wasnt the only one that day who was dissatisfied. If the manager had cut my bill in half I would give a better rating. But to listen to me and then do nothing but remove my daughters chicken strips off my tab, is a slap to my face. I would have paid 5 times the amount for a cheeseburger if it tasted good.
