It was so hot in the back and the steam and flams from cooking was horrible.
Poor management and poorly organized
Place needs a good clean up, broken down chairs etc
Service was outstanding!!!!! View of the city amazing. Quality of food at the Sunday brunch was not very good. Most of the food was salty and cold. Dessert were not presented well and most of the pastries were stale and old. Would go back again maybe???? and order off the menu.
I use to dine in on Weekly basis I was excited to visit after A few years Of absent To my surprise I was very disappointed 😧 waiter seems to be a nice working guy but had too many tables on his shoulder to serve It felt like he’s in a rush to catch a plane also food portions were miserable and definitely did not worth the money I spent there not to mention people working on the equipment in the restaurant which seems to me like a restaurant under going renovation unfortunately the only thing I enjoyed that day was the view
The ambiance was good. However the service was poor and our waiter never came over to ask us if we needed a refill on our drinks/water or if the food was good ok.
Over all it is a nice place, food was ok but what you charge. You need to update the place a bit. Some things just look like they have been there since the start. The 2 chairs in the bathroom were dirty. The tables by the window were super crowded. You can take out just one table and it would be more comfortable. Looks like it can really be a fantastic place to be
Thank you for asking. The service was the only think that lessen my experience. I have frequent Odyssey for over 30 years and probably will continue to support. I truly enjoy the restaurant but struggle from time to time with the service. David was our waiter and he struggled from the start. Completely unaware of how to open a bottle of wine. I strongly recommend training. Very slow to respond. We waited quite some time for wine glasses, for him to eventually take our order, to check on us throughout our meal, to clear off dishes as they become available. I can continue but my point is made, the service was truly lacking. My passed experiences have all been service related we there was an issue. All other areas of my dinning experience have been outstanding. I would welcome any further questions or discussions you would wish to have. I would actually like to help improve the service because I truly enjoy your restaurant. Thank you DiMaggio
I found the price to be very high, the food was cold.
My family and I enjoyed Sunday Brunch at Odyssey. We enjoyed the food, the ambiance and the service. Ramon was our server and he was wonderful. I'll definitely recommend Odyssey to my friends.
Service was great, drinks were good and the food was excellent.
We Love the Odyssey. Great menu, great chef, great view, treated like a best friend everywhere we went.
Love the outside patio after dinner for a little conversation.
we were at our table for 45 min before we got any service. Once we had the service it was as best
as they could do as very short on waiters.
My 6pm reservation had to be changed to 4:30p. The restaurant was very accommodating. Our server (Megan) was busy with other customers but was very attentive to our needs. With seven people at one table it can be difficult keeping everything straight but Megan was up to the task. Her professional demeanor and winsome smile made for a delightful celebration. Food was delicious and service excellent.
That's why we keep Odyssey in our thoughts when we celebrate anything special.
all the food, soup, appetizers, and main course, were all served very luke warm and cool. The food was, therfore, not satisfying at all. Not certain this was due to a national holiday but the food was not very enjoyable at all.
The Odyssey is great in concept...love the expansive views and stated “farm to table” menu. However, the past several times we have dined there everything was lacking...the food has been mediocre, service super slow and general upkeep poor. They need a refreshing across the board. A chef with actual culinary skills and an updated menu would make up for everything else.
The food was great and so was the service. We will be back soon.
Server was excellent, Sunday brunch was just ok, dessert bar was 80% barren the entire 1.5 hours we were there (even though I complained about it) For the waffle station, you had to walk all the way down to the other end of the restaurant to get a plate because the guy making the waffles said he didn't have any more plates. Except for our server, the service here was exceptionally poor! Definitely NOT worth $50/ person. Don't waste your money... the view is nice, but you only appreciate that for a minute or two.
The Sunday Brunch food taste and choices were good. Our server, Ramon, was friendly, competent and professional - as usual. BUT - (1) The desert area was very much lacking (compared to other similar visits), as only one employee was in that area and was totally overwhelmed being busy with banana foster and waffle preparation. He had no help - thus plates were not available; the other desert cubicles were empty; This was totally unacceptable. (2) The few employees keeping the hot food area items full were overwhelmed with empty containers.
These two food situations were not acceptable as compared to prior visits and what is expected of this restaurant and for the price of the Buffet Brunch. We have eaten @ the Buffet Brunch many times per year. as well as at the 94th Aero Squadron in Van Nuys.
Also a large group of approximately 40 - 50 guests had a celebration with a continuous extreme noise level which had an annoying effect on other guests in the main dining room area. For a brief time it would be acceptable for singing / honoring the person for which the celebration was taking place. They should have been in one of the restaurant's private separate rooms so as not to disturb other patrons.
Been here three times in the past four months for birthday celebrations at Sunday brunch, so you can see we love it. Do wish it was a little less expensive though!
Our server delivered our drinks and said the appetizer would come with the meal. It's an appetizer. That's why we ordered it with the drinks. A manager showed up with the appetizer before our main course and apologized and said we didn't have to pay for it. I thanked him and we had our meal.
Afterward, I saw that they billed it anyway.
Rather than embarrass my date, I just paid and left.
food was tasteless, cold, and substandard. service nonexistant. valet parking a mess.
onle thind nice was the view.
not waisting my money there again
I had guest from out of town and I picked Odyssey because I had been there before and it was a great experience and location is the best in the valley. I made a reservation for lunch for 12:30. Since there were tables available, we got in before 12:30 pm. We did not wait for the server. He got the order immediately. The server was not paying attention much. You can see in his face that his mind is occupied with other stuff. He was rushing! We need cheese Parmigiana which is normally offered when serving pasta but the server could not be found. Another person helped us. The bread was not served on time I was telling my guest that normally the servers are attentive with customers. I found out later that there were many functions schedule that night. The experience was not the best. I had my birthday celebration in Odyssey 2 years ago and it was a success. I don't know if there was a short of staff but definitely could turn off the client and may not wish to try again. It was good marketing with my guest if it was a pleasant experience for her. She could tell her friends about it. I still like Odyssey and will be back there. I think restaurant server should not be pulled out for events. Educating the staff will help.
It was super nice been at the outdoors, perhaps some ambience music playing in the background would of been great.
It was a pleasant experience, good service, good food, and a beautiful view of the sunset. I’d come back for sure!
The view was so beautiful and the food was delicious. We had a wonderful server and the entire visit was a great experience.
We sat outside and had a lovely time. Service and food both were great.
21st birthday celebration. Great location great view and outstanding food
We arrived 5 mins before our RSVP time (late lunch at 1pm). There was an event going on, everyone was busy, and we being ignored. Standing and waiting at the unattended reception desk over 20mins without anyone acknowledge that we need help. We gave up and walk over to the bar, hope to get a drink while waiting for help. We being ignored again. Gave up and left after a total of 30mins. Such a waiste of time. We went to black angus instead and got a great service.
The Odyssey remains consistent overall. There have been obvious positive changes in the kitchen, so the plates are more appealing than previously experienced. Going early helps to ensure a window table.
The location was great... the scenery was beautiful and the ambiance overall was lovely. Unfortunately it took a little over an hour for our food to arrive and the caeser salad took the longest. When we asked for the check 20 min went by and my husband had to go look for the waiter for it and then was told the computers were down and we couldn’t pay. We waited 10 more min with no help on what to do and headed to the bar where the waitress right away helped us... she found a computer that was working and took our payment. We never saw our original waiter again.
Great ambiance, view is lovely. Service was good. We enjoyed our meal and experience at the Odyssey.
My meal was not hot when it arrived. Not even warm. the prime rib was about room temperature. So were the mashed potatoes, and the carrots and broccoli. The other three means were good I am told. I assume mine had been sitting out for sometime before it was served. Soup was good. dessert was good. waitress was friendly, but clearly overworked. Our table was not cleared for some time after all of us were finished. But she was obviously very busy. So, cold food and slow service, something is wrong with the management of the place. So, no I would not return or recommend.
The Odyssey has a pretty good selection in food. Wouk recommend getting there earlier as you will find yourself waiting around for the servers to replenish when certain dishes run out. Also, loved our waitress, however we found ourselves having flies near our table as the used dishes were not picked up. The price is a little steep, and the desserts were not as yummy as they looked.
My wife and I had heard a lot about this restaurant and finally got round to visiting.
Our waiter was excellent but that was about all that was good. The decor is tired and in need of an upgrade. The tables on the patio were cheap, wobbly and generally uncomfortable.
The food was OK to good but nothing special.
We ordered 3 different items from the sunset menu. All three were delicious! Worth every penny. We were celebrating a birthday which was noted, this however was not acknowledged. Minor detail but it would have been nice to mention it...
The food was terrible. We order prime rib and it was dry and it look like it was a day old.
Service needs major work. Our server was amazing but she has too many tables. No one was willing to help each other by refilling drinks. And I never once saw a manager trying to help the poor overworked servers. The food was amazing good job kitchen staff.
You have vastly improved over the past year! Nice surprise!
Fantastic service and the food was amazing. The window seat had a terrific view and I cant wait to back again SOON.
Peeps need to stop bashing this place.
Best place to have a prime rib dinner. Great food, fantastic views, good service, a great value. Views from the dinning-room are wonderful but the patio has fantastic views.
