   We came here for our anniversary. We waited a very long time for our server, it took so long that we ended up ordering all our food and drinks through someone other that our server (seater? Busser?) We ordered a lemon drop, the artichokes, beet salad, filet, and gnocchi. The beet salad and gnocchi were very good, artichokes were “eh,” (would not get again), the steak came and the potatoes were COLD (like refrigerator cold), and the steak was overly rare. They took the steak back to fix the potatoes and so one of us had our meal and the other didn’t. Our server showed up after the food had been delivered. She was very apologetic and kind but overall our dinner was $165+ and it just wasn’t worth it. So Disappointing.

   The food was fabulous and our waiter, James, was great. And one of our dinner companions said their dessert was the best they had ever had. The only complaint was it was noisy inside because of the music.

   They add Tip without your knowledge and the amount is on 9% tax too- Tipping is supposed to optional, not happy about that, always a good tipper but forced is wrong- the food was exceptional, probably not going back - 4 people 90 dollar “add on”

   Food is delicious, but service is awful. Not only is it abnormally slow, the servers either appear that they don’t want to be there or we get irritated attitude when we kindly ask for sharing utensils, more crostinis (to enjoy the rest of the burrata because 4 tiny crostinis aren’t a sufficient ratio to accompany the burrata serving), and follow up on food that never arrived. At no point were we checked on during the service or received water refills for the 2 hours we were there for dinner. They include a flat 20% service charge and it really does feel like the waiters do the bare minimum to coast through dinner service. I’ve been here 4 times over the last few months and I’ve have a very similar experience every single time!

   My wife and I visited Odeum for Mother's Day dinner, and while the service and food were great, there were a couple of issues. The time to get the food and wine served was kind of long, but I understand since it's a busy day. The wine was listed as a 2019 vintage, but was actually a 2020 which is less expensive, but not a huge deal. What was kind of annoying was that after waiting for quite a while for the entrees, mine was supposed to be the gnocchi Bolognese dish but instead the server brought out plain pasta with the Bolognese sauce, explaining that they had run out of the gnocchi, and asked if that was OK. Really? You let me know an hour and a half after I ordered it? Since it was my wife's day I just said fine since it would have taken a while to order something else, but that seems kind of amateurish for an established nicer restaurant without any offer of a desert or discount on the meal of any kind for the trouble. Then, when the check arrived, I noticed that the restaurant puts on an automatic 20% tip, which I think on a party of two should always be at the discretion of the patron - not the restaurant. That being said, we've dined there before and the food has always been very good, plus the server was very nice, so I kept the review at 4 stars, but I still wanted to tell my story

   We were disappointed with our last visit to Odeum. We had been to Odeum a couple years ago and enjoyed our experience. This time was quite different. The service was completely disorganized from the moment we arrived. It was Mother’s Day and we had reservations, but the staff could not initially find our reservation and then, after a couple minutes of confusion, led our party of three to a back room that was almost empty. A waitress came to ask if we wanted water after 5 minutes, and then no one came to take our order for 45 minutes in spite of me trying to get the staff’s attention. When a waiter did arrive, it quickly became clear that none of the staff knew who was supposed to wait on our table, causing further delays. We weren’t the only ones experiencing problems. The people at the adjacent table left after waiting for about 20 minutes. Another couple complained to us about the service. In fairness to the staff, a person who appeared to be a supervisor came and apologized for the confusion and delays, but this should not have happened at an expensive, higher end restaurant. The food itself was passable, but the presentation of some of the dishes was odd. For example, my wife ordered a Dijon crusted salmon, which turned out to be served in a bowl topped with what looked like tomato sauce. Perhaps Odeum was having a very off night and I hope for them that’s the case. But after the 2 hours it took from arriving until we finished our main course (we did not risk waiting for dessert) and paying for our meal plus the mandatory 20% service charge they assessed, we cannot envision going back.

   Maybe because it was Mother's Day... Entrees were served cold. Sent back, new entrees provided. Servers were overwhelmed so attentiveness was below par. Oh well, maybe don't go to a restaurant on the busiest restaurant day of the year?

   I've been to this restaurant many times but this will be the last time. We made reservations for 6:15pm on Mother's Day. We had to stand around the reception desk for around 10 minutes before they had time to check us in. Then, the young lady asked me twice for my name and twice for the number of people in my party. Finally, they sat us at a table. The waitress was busy but finally got our drink order then our meal order. Then we sat for over an hour before our food came. Their excuse was there was a large party before us. My daughter is a vegetarian, so she ordered the beet salad. It wasn't a dinner salad but we were surprised at how small it was. It was a single layer of thin slices of beets. She said it tasted good. My mom ordered Surf & Turf which consisted of a few prawns and a small steak. She said the prawns were good but the steak arrived cold. She had them box it up. My Chicken Parm was very good. The restaurant was so loud you could hardly speak to each other and it charges a mandatory 20% service charge.

    This is probably the last time we give them a chance. Past couple years service has degraded. Super slow and food comes out disjointed. This time it hit the skids. Reservations for four 1:30 showed up a little early. Appetizers came out about 30 minutes after ordering. And then an hour and a half later (after 3pm). we still did not have our food. Trying to inquire and ask for a manager the manager and staff pretended to not even noticed us, and he was too busy to even discuss. Not an apology, nothing. Just ignored as he hustled behind the counter without acknowledgment that there was a problem. They told us it was gonna be another 40 minutes, no way! We left and with past experiences we will not be back.

    Our waiter was awesome and I believe he was the only waiter for outside dining. We received our food approx 1.5 hours after ordering! The staff seemed disorganized for a Mother’s day Brunch and the food was just OK. I could have made it myself:(. I have had great meals and service in the past and the last two times have been just OK. It’s a shame.

    I booked for outside. My husband called the restaurant to update our reservation for an earlier time just about 30 minutes earlier under my name. But when we arrived they didn’t have a table for us. We ended up having to sit inside. They said they could set up a table, but that the existing open tables outside were reserved. Yeah, by me! There was really no other space without crowding. Very dissapointing for Mother’s Day.

    Outside seating on a deck and on the front grounds. Good service and greeting. Good quality tasty food, we had lambchop salad and Gyro meat salad both shared by me and my bride of 27 years for Mother's Day. What I liked best was we were not "rushed" from our table. That allowed us to share a panna cotta dessert and wind down after our salads. Glass of wine mostly at $14 and beer at 8. A little pricey but worth it due to the quality. A 20% tip was added to our bill and I added a few dollars more because of the way our server managed our visit without being pushy. Thank you.

    Not a good experience, busy night and reserved seating took longer than planned, the main took an hour to get to us (not exaggerating), and then came in undercooked - chicken and waffles should not be undercooked! Outside seating and ambience was lovely and server very friendly, apps were good too, but for the cost (20% gratuity auto-added), will avoid next time.

    Our first experience at Odeum was fantastic, couldn’t have been better, the food was delicious, perfectly plated and offered great cocktails. This new experience was nothing that like that. The service was okay, the food was okay , we actually had to return an order, it could have been that it was a super busy weekend but to go from excellent to okay-ish, it was disappointing. Mind you it was for 6 ppl too.

    We went for a date and it was our first time here in about 6 months or so. Our meal took 95 minutes from the time we ordered it until the time it came. When it finally did came, we ordered the ribeye which arrived over cooked, and with the wrong sides, and the halibut which was also grossly over cooked. Will not be going back, which is a shame since this was one of our favorite places for special dates.

    Wow the food was so good. Best bolognese sauce ever (don’t tell my mom!) crack bread was a baguette bathed in the most delicious butter or olive oil with garlic and cheese… amazing so glad we ordered it. But the pita was the best I’ve ever had including pita in Greece…the tyfokateri (fancy hummus) was astoundingly good- makes me want to go back weekly just to order that to go. Oddly also the charred tomato served with the skirt steak was hands down the most delicious tomato I’ve ever eaten. I would argue it was better than the steak- not sure how they did that but it impressed. Service was great and patio was lovely. Music playlist was spot on for the Thursday evening - loungy but upbeat. Of all the restaurants in downtown Morgan Hill, this is our. We favorite. The cheesecake was underwhelming tbh but we should have ordered the panna cotta - I bet that was really good. Can’t wait to come back and eat here again.

    First very unfriendly hostess. Second, bad service. Really slow. Clearly understaffed. Third, my wife got a piece of human hair in her plate. Food was really bland and not of good quality. They overcharged one extra water bottle ($10) so be sure to triple check your bill for accuracy. They gave us a gift card for $50 because we complained about our food but we would have preferred having this taken of out bill as I don’t think we will come back there again.     Food took 50 min to come out, everything was warm not hot, we order our brunch at 11:15 and walked out at 2. No spoons for coffee, no sausage in both chilaquiles plates as advertised. Not a great experience.

    Bethany, our server, was very accommodating. The Hawaiian Shrimp our friend had was a disappointment to her as the shrimp would not separate from the shell. The octopus with Mediterranean salad and the lollipop lamb chop salad were delicious. We were celebrating our friends 91st BD-her panna cotta BD dessert was not only plated beautifully but was delicious.

    So sad to report that this is not a one time anomaly. The acoustics have always been a problem but now for the 2nd time this year the food was so so marginal. The medium rare NY steak came out well done. When it was sent back it came back literally raw. The lambs chops were way over cooked and grizzly. You are much better off going to Costco and picking up their cuts of meat because Odeum no longer seems to be able to do that. Their signature octopus appetizer is no longer a premium filet but chewy tentacles. Again…. We are really sad that Morgan Hills premium artisanal restaurant is no longer worth it.

    Odeum used to be one of our favorite places, but we're not seeing the value for quality as we used to. Service was great, but the pricing of the food is outpacing the quality of the food. I hope the quality can improve because it's such a gem in Morgan Hill.

We had a business casual lunch with our printer and the new general manager and I felt proud to show off a great eaterie in downtown Morgan Hill to them. (They came up from King City.)     Wait staff went out of their way to make us comfortable at our outdoor table. Overall, the food was good. I was a little surprised when the pizza was delivered. I don't remember the name of the pizza I ordered. It isn't on their website lunch menu. It had Prosciutto, olives, artichokes, mushrooms and cheese. The cheese was spread throughout the pizza, however, the other ingredients were allocated to two slices for each ingredient. I would have preferred that all ingredients were distributed evenly on the pizza.

    Was so happy to experience the good old Odeum, pre pandemic quality food. My son is in town from Montréal and he wanted to try Odeum before going back. Bethany was our server and she was amazing. Great service and amazing food make this place fantastic downtown gem. We will go back.

    I made reservations for 6:00 pm, and got there about 15 minutes late due to traffic and parking. The hostess was wonderful and we were seated right away. This was my last meeting of the day, I had only eaten a banana and coffee the entire day. I was starving and asked if they served bread. They don’t offer bread, but one of the appetizers was parmesan bread. I ordered it, every piece of the bread was burnt and I mean black, there’s no way the person who prepared the blackened bread appetizer didn’t notice. They still charged us even though we only at the inside and left a pile of burnt bread. I ordered the ribeye steak over garlic tuscan fries. It was great, just the way I ordered it 😋! My guest ordered the filet mignon, and specified she would like it cooked “Almost well.” Her steak was charbroiled/burnt! It looked like charcoal and the inside was well/dry. She sent it back and waited another 20 to 25 minutes to replace her order. The server did bring her what look like thin cheese pizza slices while she waited for her steak. (That was nice 😊) I indicated business meeting were seated in the back corner, behind a bigger table. (I felt like I was in time out) The music was loud, normally, I like, as part of the ambience, however, too much bass or bad speakers the sound was horrible and my guest couldn’t hear me. In fact, she wanted to leave. She had a headache from the music/noise, food, experience. Our server, Tyler was very nice and professional, my ribeye steak was awesome. Ambience was overcrowded and they need to fix their sound system. Perhaps it was just an off night? 20% service tip is applied to your bill, with an option to include an additional tip.

    My experience at Odeum was excellent. You can see that the staff is customer satisfaction driven and service did not fall short. Food was excellent and complex for its price point and will definitely continue to dine at this restaurant. Martinis were very good. Staff is top notch!!

    Odeum is the best restaurant in Morgan Hill. My only complaint would be the noise level inside makes it difficult to talk with others, but other than that everything else is top notch! Great food, great wine selection, great service, and lovely interior atmosphere.

    It's expensive but I've never had a bad meal. It gets loud when a lot of people are there or you are by a bigger table that drinks a little too much. Overall always great service and great tasting food.
