Last minute Anniversary dinner but was still able to make a reservation! Was surprisingly busy for a tuesday night but nice to see for a change after this past year. Food was amazing and worth the little extra time need to craft our dishes! Would recommend Odeum to anyone!
Was a birthday dinner they never wished a happy birthday or even acknowledge a celebration. Our cocktails got sent back twice for not made properly. Foods was delicious a bit disappointed to see chef walking around with no face covering on.
Food is consistently very good.
I’ve not ever had lunch or dinner that wasn’t very good.
Friendly but extremely slow service.
Made reservations to dine prior to Mother’s Day crowd. Upon ordering our dinner meal, the menu was “Mother’s Day special” which we weren’t told ahead of time & the server didn’t know much either. 3 out 4 of us are vegetarians. Server informed that they can remove “meat” from any of the limited menu & make it vegetarian. Come to find out, they couldn’t. 3 of us ended up watching my wife eat her meal. During her meal, we had ordered dessert. 25 mins later, no dessert. The server (Pedro) kept apologizing, but didn’t do anything about the situation to rectify or make exceptions. It was the worse dinner experience one can have.
Mothers day eve dinner. Wait staff (Juanita) was fabulous. The chef was in the zone and everything, including the drinks, were perfectly paired. This is our new haunt.
The food is always good at Odeum, but the service is another story. The food takes forever to be served, and the staff never seem to know anything about the menu
Food was great, but service was poor. It seemed as though our server was also bartending so he wasn’t very attentive to us.
Yummy!...altho my husband was put off by the lack of Old School menus.
Odeum was perfect pick for a lunch spot. The special fish item was perfectly cooked and the presentation was terrific. We ate on the outdoor porch, but there was also a tent available with about 10 tables +/-. There is parking immediately adjacent to the restaurant. Covid protocols were strictly followed. Great experience!
We ordered cocktails that had been seating at the bar for nearly 20 minutes and were totally watered down when we finally got them, which was super annoying. I said something and instead of bringing me a new drink they just put more rum in it. Thankfully, the waiter waived our corkage fee. Overall, the service and food were pretty good, although I do not think we would make the trek from Campbell to go on a date night here again. The Quintet appetizer is a definite MUST get. The pita is so good!
It was ok. The music was too loud, the heaters were noisy and the food was ok. It was a decent meal but for the price, there are better options in town
On open table I asked for indoor table and was put outside in a part of their makeshift dining patio that was not very nice. I asked to be moved and was accommodated. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I think they could do a better job in their outdoor tented area to make it nicer. Food was really good. Pricy though.
Sal is amazing. And we are good friends.
But more important, our guest were blown away!
My best to Sal and Odeum.
The food was very good, but a little pricey. The best part was our
server, Jerry. He was great. If you go, ask for one of his tables.
The service was exceptional. The menu comprehensive and varied to suit many preferences. The wine list was an excellent mix of high end and mid range wines.
We ordered the Waygu Steak special. It was amazing and the sides were unique. The Louisiana Butter Cake dessert is not to be missed
Great brunch menu and great time with Jerry our waiter
I’ve had better experiences at Odeum than this occasion. Food was not up to the usual quality and our table was very wobbly. All in all, the experience felt below average and not as enjoyable as it was in the past.
My special was delicious which was Wagu beef. Our server was very attentive & drinks were great!
Service was ok.
I loved everything about Odeum..the ambience the food and overall experience. I made reservations and expected those reservations to be met...unfortunately they were not . I invited a friend so she would experience what I have in the past. In such reservation I chose to sit inside and appreciate that was an option..and was excited for my friend to see this place from the inside as I had described to her. Shortly after we were sat Outside, I asked my waitress if she could possibly check if we could sit inside. She didn’t even look inside and told us there was nothing. About a minute or two later I saw our same waitress lead not one, but two parties of two people and sat them inside.
My friend also noticed and advised me to ask again..I told her we would just have to come back another day because Odeum would be worth it. After my food came out, and it wasn’t what I ordered I really felt the quality of Odeum was just not the same any longer and fear that I just may not even go back. There are definitely other very nice places in Downtown MH that will provide outstanding service.
Food was delicious but service was slow. Our waiter was friendly but was slow to greet us and did not check back during our meal.
Fantastic neighborhood gem. Great, fun atmosphere. Good service and food!
Truly exceptional cuisine! Jerry provided excellent service as well. We had Mexican Prawn Curry, Veal Chop and Heart of Ribeye, all were incredible and memorable. Starters were garlic soup and shaved Brussel sprouts. Yum! It was a bit chilly outside, and we can’t wait for the return of indoor dining. The passing trains (with loud horns) provided some entertainment. Cocktails were well executed, and the shared dessert of cake, caramel, fruit and gelato was the perfect sweet ending to our meal. Looking forward to returning soon!
Charming outdoor ambience. Excellent unique well crafted menu. Kind and attentive waiter, Jerry. Finally found a great restaurant worth going back to.
Came with a reservation to the restaurant on time. When they walked us to our seats they tried seating us on the opposite corners of the bar next the kitchen/bar entrance. I informed them we rather sit at a table so then they told us to wait. They then came back and walked us to a table all the way in the back corner where it was incredibly hot. There was a lever from the window that was sticking out hitting me in the head.
They didn’t put in our food order at all or something weird happened. They served us the $17 Greek yogurt appetizer with a tablespoon of yogurt and a mountain of bread. I told them, nothing happened or changed. Then our food literally never came. Our server took off several times on us and started bartending. A random person came and asked us what we ordered. Then he left. Again, silence then no food or nothing. They told us something went wrong eventually(yea...you forgot to order our food). Let me put it this way. Our reservation was at 630pm. Our entrees didn’t come until 810pm. This was our first time out on a date in over a year because I literally just had a baby. I was beyond bummed on our experience. I had high hopes for this restaurant but sadly I’m never eating here again.
We ate outside in the covered patio. It was comfortable and table are spaced out nicely. Service was great! I enjoyed a porkchop for my entrée. It was a very generous portion and I took more than half home and enjoyed for lunch the next day. My husband ordered the fish special, while the flavors were good, the portion size was a bit small for his apatite. If you like chocolate, I suggest the chocolate lava cake - delicious.
We chose to sit outside for a late lunch as it was a beautiful, sunny spring Sunday. Our waitress was at our table literally as we sat down, and brought us each a delicious glass of Paso Robles Zinfandel.
We shared a Mediterranean Salad for our starter which as terrific; both in presentation and taste. My wife had a poached fish of some sort, I forget, but I had a pizza Margarita paired with a Pino Grigio. Again Odeum is probably hte ONLY place you can get a real thin crust pie like I remember from my NYC days. None of that garbage the Pizza chain restaurants serve. Every pie is bespoke, you order a cheese and tomato pie and pick you toppings, whatever you want, made how you want it Prix Fixe.
All this coupled with a chilled bottle of sparkling Pelligrino water to wash down the pie, and the fish and it was overall a marvelous lunch. Put this place on you go-to list of South Valley eateries.
Food is consistently great and definitely do not want to miss the mille feuille dessert. The courtyard and its plants have unfortunately been taken over by a big tent. The restaurant seems understaffed during this visit.
Everything was excellent.
The lamb shank was a recommended entree but had too much fat and less flavor. They offered to bring a replacement dish but everybody on our table had eaten so I was not going to order another entree late into the evening. We had come from another city approximately 3 hours away so it was truly a disappointment.
Easter dinner. The veal and lamb chops were very good. Portions are large so come hungry.
We returned to Odeum for Easter Brunch, knowing it would be busy but also knowing it would have a happy atmosphere. That did not disappoint. What did disappoint was the fact that one of the dishes had to be returned, the breakfast pizza, because the egg on top was extremely liquidy when the guest had specifically asked that it be extremely well cooked. Another guest had to return her egg Benedict because the egg was full of shell and she got annoyed that she had to keep picking out the broken bits of shells. Another egg was duly supplied but minus the ham which accompanies it. Back to the kitchen it went and eventually was presented to her in the correct form - cooked with the ham and without any broken shells. My dish of Lobster benedict was perfect! The staff were hugely busy and rushed but were absolutely charming as always and as helpful as ever. Aside from the problems with two of the dishes, we had a lovely time, in a lovely setting and with a delightful atmosphere.
Allowing for Covid restrictions, we dined outside for our Easter brunch. They did not run heaters as they had run out of gas. Food took 1 hour to arrive for the two of us. Omelets were cold. Very disappointed.
Understandably it was crowded outside due to Covid restrictions. The table was small and in a noisy area. The main thing that lowered the stars was the waiter’s first question after introducing himself was “well so you are you in the vaccinate camp or not?”. Not really appropriate when we want to enjoy a relaxing evening out! I’m not sure I will dine there again as the vegetarian/ vegan options are very limited. But overall good food.
Service was terrible. Are we just spilled water all over the table. We had asked three times for napkins to sop it up. Ordered gelato and it took 10 minutes for him to plate the gelato. Very poor service.
Excellent Sunday Brunch as usual. Seated on the deck and there were plenty of umbrellas on a very sunny afternoon.
When asked where I wanted to go for my birthday brunch, I had to come here for the strawberry waffles!
Food was amazing!
In spite of the Pandemic challenges the wait staff did an outstanding job and the food was as excellent as ever.
