The food is excellent, no need to go to Georgia when you have this here!

Our first time at Oda house, the food was spectacular, we eat out almost every night in nyc and we were so impressed with the food. The place is not super fancy but so worth going ...

Seriously amazing food. Have to try the lamb in the mint sauce and the bread with the yummy cheese in the middle. However everything we tried was awesome.

I love Oda House; I have been multiple times and have never once been disappointed. Every Georgian wine that I have eaten there has been velvety and delicious. The green bean dish with a soft boiled egg is one of the best dishes I've had. My favourite go-to place for cold evenings and a warm ambience.

Oda House is the perennially dependable spot for amazing Georgian food in NYC. The service is always great and the food is the best execution of the Georgian cuisine in the city.

Oda House is the best. You will want to eat their Kchachapuri as your last meal on earth.

My friends and I loved the food and ambience at Oda House and would definitely go back again. The only sour note came at the beginning of the meal when (despite having made a reservation via Open Table), the host directed us to a table with a folding chair and got huffy when we asked to exchange it for a "real chair". He then sat us at another table but told us we had to leave in several hours to make room for another reservation. Having said that, our two waitresses could not have been lovelier!

The food was wonderful and so unique. The thing that was also great about this place was that they were so accommodating. We had a few last minute changes to our reservation, the time, and the number of people, and we were a group of 7, and they were very willing to accommodate our party. Great experience overall!

I've had Georgian food in Kiev (although not yet in Tblisi) and have been looking for a restaurant serving Georgian food for quite a while. There are a number in NYC although only a couple show up on OpenTable (and only one now down here in DC).
I LOOOOVE Georgian cooking, one of those really unique and subtle cuisines that is both rustic and sophisticated all at once. I have to say that Oda totally met my expectations, in fact the lamb dishes, the bread with egg and cheese (khachapuri) as well as the lamb dishes and the desserts were all better than my previous Georgian high water mark in Kiev. Coupled with very interesting wines (a little rough but also sophisticated, like the food) and it was quite an evening.
A tad loud, and not necessarily elegant (but very real and non-plastic), it again made me feel right at home. Fits the neighborhood really well. Ignore parking but do get there however you can!!

Excellent food, including quality and selection. Service sub par, took over 10 mins to even get a menu, they forgot to bring a dish and we were charged for it anyway - I noted it and they did delete it appropriately from the check. Indeed they were very busy at the time so I don’t doubt there was sufficient effort but perhaps insuffixient staffing. Still though for quality Georgian food would still recommend just not at peak time.

This was my second time and the food was just as good. Excellent service. Two of us shared two appetizers and one entree - plenty filling. Very tasty seasonings but if you're going with a low calorie meal, this is not that - lots of butter in any of the breads. You should just go with the goal of a walking away with a very pleasant culinary experience.

My daughter-in-law is Russian and loves Georgian food. She plans to come back to this restaurant until she has tried everything on the menu. For my New York taste the food was different and very good. I too am looking forward to returning and trying other choices.

Unusual cuisine for NYC. Needs some explanation, which servers are happy to supply. Good-sized portions, reasonable costs, and some lovely wines from Georgia.

Absolutely fantastic. Wide array of options on the menu, offering variety if you're working with food restrictions. Everything is its own flavor bomb. The servers are friendly, warm, and funny. They clearly take pride and joy in their cooking - for good reason - and, when we told the server/owner how great everything tasted, his response? "I know."

I hesitated before checking yes, that I would recommend this restaurant. Many aspects were appealing--the ambiance (although noisy), the service, the appetizers. However my main dish, the lamb in casserole was very disappointing. I ordered lamb not only because it's a meat I particularly like but because that part of the world is known for preparing lamb in a variety of very tasty ways. This lamb, served in chunks, was, instead of meltingly tender and succulent, hard and dry, all but unchewable. It was served in an uninteresting sauce heavy on the tomato side. I probably will try again.

This was not our first time here, we were a bit disappointed. We had made a reservation for 10:30PM but arrived at 10:45PM - this clearly seemed like an inconvenience to the staff; yet they still seated us. We ordered right away, they were out of one of the sodas I like. Our food quickly arrived, it was okay. It did not compare to anything we have ever had here before, as you could tell they were even rushing on the food. At 11:00PM midst bite we were interrupted and told that we would need to close out or tab, as they are closing the register. While we were trying to enjoy our dinner. Unfortunately we will most likely return again, as the selection on Georgian restaurants are very slim, and the food usually is very good. But this time we were awfully disappointed.

I love Georgian food, but it is almost impossible to find in the United States, so every year on our annual visit to New York my wife and I dine at Oda House. We have tried two others but like Oda House best. The food is great. The decoration and ambiance could be more Georgian, e. g. reproductions of Pirosmani instead of Modigliani, and the service, though very good, is sometimes too fast. I;ll keep going there as long as I am able.

You need not know about Georgian cuisine to love this restaurant.

This place delivered far beyond what I expected. I'm not sure where I heard about it, but God bless whomever spread the word.
Our waiter answered all of our questions and gave us amaaaazing recommendations from wine to the glorious bread boats filled with cheese and egg...we are still talking about the food 3 days later.
We ordered the eggplant appetizer (cold), trio of dumplings, cheese and egg boat (that's not what it's called on the menu, but it's the 1st cheese boat), and dish of mushroom and onion baked in a yeast bread. Every single morsel was delicious. The tiny bit that went home with my friend was promptly eaten by her fiancee.
