Love, love, love Oda House. Food exactly like my mom and family makes it and then some. It is a bit pricey, but so far nobody has complained when I took them there. Definitely an experience for a group of people because you can then share food and try a bit here and there. The noise level goes up after 8 pm. It is recommended to go earlier in the evening if you are bothered by very noisy surroundings.

Tina Turner said it Oda House “Simply the Best”! Fabulous evening at Oda, stayed til the put up the chairs, talking, eating and laughing. And then out of the blue Georgian music comes on and NATO the manager busted out traditional Georgian dance. Was a blast!

We love Georgian food and we’re happy to find Oda House when visiting NYC. Service was excellent - friendly, helpful, attentive, efficient. The food was quite good, authentic and included a number of our Georgian favorites. Nice place but the noise level was horrible and honestly spoiled our meal. Much of the noise was attributable to a large group who were there when we arrived and were still shouting when we left. It is doubtful that we will return.

This restaurant would have had great potential if they just used a LOT less salt so one can actually taste the flavors in the food.

Georgian food is famous for its use of herbs and spices and that is what we expected. Unfortunately, the only thing we tasted is burning in our mouth from so much salt, especially after the lamb stew.

We hope the chef will develop the confidence to rely on other flavors, not just salt, and cut her salt use by about 75 percent.

The adjaruli is both a visual and taste treat. The chankhi, lamb in a clay pot, has wonderful seasoning, but the lamb is quite tough. The wine is excellent but overpriced.

Sveta was in from Moscow again, and said we had to go back! Nato the manager greeted us like long lost family. Completely new wine list and the same delicious food we had last time, and of course we save room for desert!

Must try the Khachpuli - it's the best. The dumplings too. Waitstaff was super friendly and helpful, considering I had no familiarity with the cuisine.

I love Georgian food. The dishes are a little pricey, but given that the ingredients are quite expensive (walnuts, tart cherries, etc.), I think you get great value for what you pay. So far, I've liked everything I've tried at Oda House.

Fascinating Georgian food. Be sure to try at least one of the breads, which are specialties. Wine list is entirely Georgian wines, not my favorite but interesting and something definitely worth tasting.

If you are a foodie and like Georgian food, then this is the place for you. Many of m friends with Georgian background whom I brought here liked the food a lot. My entire family goes for Adjaruli first... Everything else is good on the menu. Authentic wine from Georgia (for the wine snobs: the Georgian wine is aged in clay pots, do not expect the oak properties).

Couple of things to mention: the rumor goes that the owner has Georgian background, was MD - neural surgent, but always had a passion for cooking. The latest most exciting rumor - they will be opening another location on upper East side.

Oda House is a go-to favorite any time I’m downtown. It’s the best Georgian food I’ve enjoyed in the United States, and keeps me returning and recommending your restaurant to others. As always, my meal is never complete without adjaruli or megruli plus kinkhali. Your wait staff are lovely and knowledgeable, and they always make me feel welcome. Thank you!

The food is either an absolute hit (khachapuri with egg, lula kabob, chicken liver appetizer) or an absolute miss (chicken dish - “Cornish hen”). But definitely worth a visit.

The place is very tight and noisy. If you are looking for a romantic spot or a place to hang out and talk with friends - this is not it. Also the reservation time slots are tight. You get an hour and 45 min.

Oda house is great spot for a big group looking to experience authentic Georgian cuisine. The downside of Oda is that they aren't very organized and during the dinner rush 630-930 they are always struggling to provide attentive service to customers, and, most importantly, to SPACING OUT COURSES. Either everything comes out all at once, or you have nothing on the table for 30+ minutes.

Authentic Georgian food using excellent quality ingredients, many of which appear to be organic, which I really appreciate. The selection of house-made, traditional dishes was so large that I had difficulty choosing. We had the excellent Borscht with an Imeruli (type of Khachapouli). The latter was quite good but we would have preferred it with the smoked cheese that was unavailable that day. Then I had the delicious Chakapouli and I really appreciate the organic lamb. This dish was perfection! It was difficult to select a desert because of the wonderful offerings. The Napoleon was the best I have had since my childhood and easily enough for two or even four persons, but the Shok-Manje was also delicious. Looking forward to trying more of Oda House's very interesting selections in a future visit!
