   We came here for Mother’s Day. We had a large group with kids and the staff was accommodating of the kiddos. The biggest complaint was that it took so long to get our food. Like 45 mins to an hour. This place is pretty big, a smaller inside area but there is lots of seating outdoors also. Lots of grace given it’s a holiday but they should have been able to keep up with the orders. It’s my third time going, and one other time the food took a while, so maybe this is just something you have to deal with when you visit.

   Hadn’t been in a while but had good previous experiences so we brought family who were visiting. I chose outdoor seating because I remembered it being pretty - last night the patio felt like an afterthought- no vibe and wobbly tables. The food was ok, apps came out rushed and then were left and not removed before the entrees. I had the octopus and it had clearly been sitting under a heat lamp for a while. Overall it was a ‘meh’ experience

   What amazing food and staff. It was everything I hoped for. The server Melia made sure I was making the right wine choice and let me taste a couple samples until I found the one that was right for my palette. The tuna was exceptional. The beef ribs were GIANT and filling. All I can say is that I got my money’s worth. I’ll be back very soon with friends.

   We rarely write negative reviews but we’re very disappointed with the actual taste of food at Ocotillo. The tiger shrimp (with eyes and tails attached) was fishy and undercooked. The ribs had awkward flavor and with forward jalapeño spice and what seemed like a marinara type coating. All around disappointing.

   Our server Greg was great! This was our first time at Ocotillo and he was welcoming, funny and had great insights on the menu. The food was delicious as were the cocktails and we will be back.
