During the summer months we will do the best we can to accommodate guests indoors, but we cannot guarantee indoor seating. Look forward to seeing you at Ocotillo Restaurant and Bar.
The walkway into the restaurant is dramatic and contemporary. The owner David, is a seasoned restaurateur who understands the value of connecting with his customers. Salmon appetizer was delightful with capers and pickled onions. Pasta with shrimp was scrumptious with homemade pasta al dente and fresh herbs. Pork shank was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside! Service was attentive. We Will Definitely Be Back!
Great food with healthy options and wonderful waiter.
Lovely vegetables and large portions. Delightful service, too. The meat (ribs) were a little tough but they took it right off the bill.
As always, the food was fantastic and Corbyn was excellent. We asked him to pick our entrees and he made excellent choices. Can't wait to go back.
Great ambiance but the food lacked needed flavor. I wasn’t wowed by any of our food choices (appetizer, soup, vegetable dish, or entree).
First time back in awhile. Sunday brunch.
Service was slooooooow! We were seated on time. After our drink order was taken, it took over 30 minutes to order an appetizer. By that time, everyone had finished their drink, plus had an empty coffee and water glass.
Food was good but portions were very small. Four out of our party of six commented that they were still hungry when we left.
A great place with both indoor and outdoor options. Inventive and interesting menu. Have not had a bad bite yet !
Waiter was a bit snobby, definitely didn’t make us feel welcome. I have been several times and never felt that way before. Food was excellent, as always.
Great service and knowledgeable waiter. Menu takes a bit of work but all food was great.
Great food and good service.
I really enjoyed Ocotillo - the ambiance is lovely, spacious, welcoming. The staff is professional and kind. The food is delicious, great fine-dining place!
The space is pretty cute and would probably be really great when the weather is nice to sit on the outdoor patio! Our appetizers (cauliflower and beet salad) were delicious! I will go back just for that cauliflower! Unfortunately our craft drinks tasted like sugar and would have preferred to do with out or just order wine. Definitely not worth the price.
Interesting brunch options, good coffee and great service. We will likely revisit!
Absolutely love this place, chef and great staff. One of the issues they cannot control is the loudness of other patrons (large tables inside) and the echoing effects the of their exuberance. Wish the proprietor would consider some noise baffling. Not comfortable on the ears but certainly wonderful for the pallet!
Great service with a wonderful selection on their menu. Executed very well. Would go again.
Great for catching up! A group of us ladies met and enjoyed the entire experience. This place is for all ages and genders! The service was very helpful and kind. Food quality was 5 stars. Menu was very diverse. Something for everyone. Noticed a table of men eating the lunch menu and portions were proportionate for appetite. Since it is on 3rd Street and Flower it is close to 1-10 and downtown, was easy to get to. There is enough parking too!
This is our new "monthly place" for the girls to catch up and have a nice bite. We can't wait till the weather is warmer so we can experience the outdoor space. :)
Very cool vibe. We were there for new years eve, first timers. Busy and fun bar scene. We were seated within 10 min of our reservation. The wine list was disappointing - no value prices wines, VERY expensive pours, and bottle price were all at triple retail. Seems like their strategy was to fill the wine list with lesser known and more obscure labels - and from what I could see all were at triple retail prices. The per glass prices were mostly $12-14 and up per glass for mediocre wines. The pours are also stingy - one of the bring out the small glass to pour into the big glass schemes... and the pour you get looked about 3.5 ounces (certainly not a typical 5 ounce pour). So value for $$ here started off weakly.
Ordered the Cauliflower app and the hummus salad appetizers - both delicious. EXCEPT the servers set both dishes at the table next to us and they started eating both... and when we discovered, we ended up waiting an extra 10 min for our appetizers. Then the main course (beef shank) arrived about 3 min after the delayed apps... so we had a full table of food and the meat got cold.
This restaurant is HUGE and they are obviously trying to be very gourmet - prices are not cheap. But I was not impressed enough to want to return again. Yes I know it was New Years eve. But if I cannot find a decent $40 bottle of vino to enjoy with my meal (or if I could I would not order it because it is a $12 mediocre bottle at Safeway/Costco) then I know there are many better options in the valley. The meat was good, but big $$ for what I could get at Houstons or Chelsea's Kitchen for less. Cannot recommend.
Always a great choice! Fresh ingredients for beautiful flavors. Food looks as good as it tastes. Excellent service and fun ambiance. Love this place!!
Always great menu. Occasional service lag but very professional. Neighborhood staple. Very satisfied.
Salad and entree were not that great but dessert was excellent
This is one of the best restaurants in town. They never disappoint, the waiters are all good, the owner always stops by to check, and the prices are reasonable. The menu is just different enough that most other restaurants and have some great, imaginative dishes.
We did not have great service and every drink we tried to order they were out of which was frustrating.
Great food and great waitstaff. We had a large party, the waitstaff was very accommodating. I had the pork shank, very good.
They gave away our reservation and we had to wait a long time. Finally were seated in the bar. As a senior citizen, this was not good for me. Our waiter, Corbin, was excellent. Food was pricey. Food was gourmet. Not always what was expected. But it was good.
Great food, service was a little off. It was a BUSY night though.
They had an issue with their venting system while we were there, so the place was filled with smoke when we got there and they had to leave the doors open to air it out. Not really their fault, but was a little uncomfortable and chilly. They also had our server assigned to a huge party next to us, so our party of 6 had to wait a while for our order to get taken. It was also extremely loud and we could barely hear each other talk from across the table.
Overall, the food is really good and it was quick once we ordered. The server was also very nice and tried his best! I also like the atmosphere and decor of the place.
Had an excellent experience celebrating our Christmas get together with friends. Thank you making it special. And the food was excellent!
It was a fab day for my friend’s birthday
This was a great find. A friend and I went there before the Nutcracker ballet. The service and food were outstanding and they have several other locations on site to accommodate private parties without taking away from the rest of the restaurant. Good choice for food, cocktails, location and parking. I would highly recommend it.
Our server Eli was amazing! He went above and beyond. Loved the outdoor seating too
The food was amazing! Try the Bidi Bidi Bop drink--delicious. I have never had a chicken breast so moist and flavorful. The atmosphere is very hip and the STAFF ARE AMAZING!! From start to finish, I'd go back for any occasion!!
Food choices are limited. They seemed to have changed their menu since I was last there a couple years ago. Probably will not return
Had a great time incredible atmosphere I will go back
Some of the best food that I have had in Phoenix.
We were a group of co-workers who went to Ocotillo before attending a lecture nearby. Our server, Eli, took great care of us. His small plates recommendations were spot on. We sat on the patio which was perfect. This is a great place fora very affordable Happy Hour with food & drink options several steps above what you find elsewhere.
Amazing food and wonderful atmosphere!
Another great meal at Ocotillo. Our party of four started with the roasted cauliflower and a sweet potato. The generous portion, two heads, was seasoned perfectly. The sweet potato has a charred skin and a soft, tasty Center. One of us order the pappardelle with shrimp and another ordered the duck after considering the chicken. Both entrees were “off the hook.” The guy that ordered the duck can be extremely critically, and he gave it an enthusiastic two thumbs up. The other two split an order of big, meaty beef ribs. Our waitress was terrific and I am remiss in not remembering her name (petite brunette with glasses). She was quite knowledgeable of the menu and provided good suggestions. The waitress and bus people were attentive to refilling water/tea glasses and clearing plates.
Nice ambiance on a beautiful day!
All of the food was terrific and unique. Our whole party (including children) was very pleased.
Our waitress (Katia?) was fabulous and a lot of fun too.
