Overall the food was delicious but the service was lacking. Our server did not frequent our table much and we often needed to flag them down to get refills, order food, get boxes, etc. I’d done here again but not if I’m in any hurry.

A cringe-worthy experience at a restaurant that should have better-trained staff for the price point. This was a perfect example how one very poorly trained, unqualified waiter can ruin the entire experience at what *should* be a fantastic restaurant. When a group of 5 friends planned to meet in Phoenix this month, I didn't hesitate to make us a reservation at Ocotillo, having previously been there. Here's how it went: Everyone immediately loved the ambiance and the feel of the place as we walked in and were promptly seated outside. We were all excited by the menu. And then we waited.... and waited. A very harried waiter finally showed up, opening with "Have you guys been helped yet? Sorry, I'm really slammed." It went downhill from there. Drinks took forever to arrive, and he blamed the bar for being backed up (we noticed two bars were open, neither of which appeared to be busy). He apparently had also registered the wrong table # for us, as runners brought our appetizers to a table two over from us, and then confused, tried to bring them to other tables around us, before going back inside to check with our waiter. Our entrees, when they arrived 90 minutes after we were seated, were fantastic. So, no complaints about the food itself - as great as advertised. But our waiter checked in with us infrequently, hurriedly taking a second drink order for 2 members at our table and ignoring or forgetting to check with the rest of us. At the end of the meal, he apologized again for the delays, blaming the rest of the staff. I felt embarrassed for your restaurant, and for myself for recommending it. Look, if you are going to charge $90 for a ribeye, your service all-around needs to be much, much better.

Very underwhelming. The food came out cold on multiple courses. The filet mignon dish was way too salty. The drinks were watery. The service was extremely slow even when empty. The ambiance was nice but that is all I would recommend.

What a delightful evening out with friends spent at Ocotillo. Upon exiting the vehicle you walk down a welcoming tree lined path towards the main entrance to the restaurant. Along the way you will see the outdoor seating area which is well shaded with lots of misters. The staff greeted us immediately and took us to our table. Our waitress was prompt throughout the entire meal and offered helpful suggestions. Our table ordered off the restaurant week menu and each item was prepared beautifully. I had the burrata salad to start, the filet mignon, and then the flourless chocolate cake for dessert. The food was amazing! I will definitely be back.

Been going here since it opened but haven't been there in a while. Came in for restaurant week. Sadly the 1 of the main courses (fish) came out very undercooked and was sent back. I didn't want my filet to get cold and ate slowly but not slow enough. After finishing my friends food came back out. Kind of a buzz kill to not enjoy our meals together. As for the desert, the angel Bundt cake was dry and didn't seem fresh. We both like our salads. Overall it was meh.

My hubby and I each ordered from the fixed-price menu during Restaurant Week. The value was exceptional, both for the quality and creativity of the menu and for the generous portion quality of the appetizers, entrees and desserts. We especially enjoyed the vegetarian eggplant "meatballs." We dined inside to escape the heat, but the very large covered and uncovered patios of this restaurant are beautifully landscaped and softly illuminated, and look very inviting!

When I got to the restaurant, I was greeted welcomed, seated right away with my reservation. The waiter was very attentive. Romy. My drinks right away, brought me all my choices right away, kept coming back to make sure I was OK, and the food was good the cup of water was filled at all times.

I wanted to love it. I was disappointed with the food. It was underwhelming. Upon coming into the restaurant, the ambiance was beautiful. The outside path was lined with lit trees. Looks almost magical. We entered and where seated to the right of the restaurant, that looks more like we were at a breakfast diner. It didn’t match the ambiance of the outside. We ordered the highly recommended ribs, which was tough and needed a steak knife. The Papardelle pasta was good but not great and was served a bit cold. The sun dried strawberries with Ricotta cheese was chewy and unappetizing, it would have been better with fresh strawberries. I did enjoy the fries that came with the ribs and the Yuzu cocktail. The service was slow for a place that was half full on a Saturday night. I think I would only come back to have drinks and sit by the outside Beer Garden, which had a canopy of lights lining the whole patio and long benches.

Great brunch options, from light salads to more hearty plates. The red Sangria is fantastic! We ate in the dining room which was nice but if it had been cooler we would have preferred outside seating. Great place to meet friends for drinks and a good meal.

Ok - so we stumbled upon this place and it was full so went on OpenTable and made a reservation - and then went to sidecar! OMG this place was awesome! Full menu and bar and just an awesome atmosphere! I will be back!

Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. The ambiance of the restaurant was amazing, and I'll definitely be back when it's nicer outside to sit there! The menu is a bit strange - it has small plates (reasonably priced) and large plates (too expensive) but not a huge selection for dinner.

We had a nice time & would definitely go back. Eggplant meatballs were excellent. We really enjoyed the chicken wings as well, especially the smashed fingerling potatoes that came with them. Ribeye was tender and delicious. The mashed/creamed potatoes that came with it were tasty, but a little too runny, couldn't eat them with a fork. Had the angel food cake with lemon curd for dessert which was delicious and refreshing.

This local gym always delivers! We went for an early dinner and ended up ordering a lot of stuff off of the happy hour menu, which was cost-effective and delicious! A service Lauren was fantastic: very attentive and constantly checking in to make sure everything was good. For my friends who have not been there before, they raved about the quality of the food, the value of the food, and we share it almost every plate, which was a smart thing to do because the portions are huge.

Had the eggplant meatballs, salmon small plate, and pappardelle - both the wife and I enjoyed it very much. Close enough to the Phoenix Theatre that it will be a regular stop from jow on.
