food was great, no wait time but made reservations.
Our server, Sarah did an AMAZING job! We ended up adding about 10 people to our reservation and she handled it flawlessly. The food was served hot and was delicious! We never had an empty glass either!
Enjoyed atmosphere and drinks. Clam chowder, Corned beef sandwich and fish and chips very good. Maurice Salad not great. Would go back to try more on the menu.
Great food and great service. Comfortable place for lunch!
Bloody Mary and Mimosa Bar. $5 for one or $20 bottomless!
Met some friends for lunch. I'd definitely go back again!
First visit to O'Connor's. Great food, service and Irish music.
Great food selection. We went with our family of 5 and there was something for everyone! Great service. Friendly staff.
Good food and service
Live entertainment was good.
Great beer selection
Gluten-free menu is appreciated. Delicious mixed drinks. Friendly and patient staff. Recommend the house-made potato chips and dip.
We lucked out and our group was seated in the room attached to the bar. Great, fun experience and our bartender was awesome. Great service, great food and great beer suggestions! Food recommendations ... get the trinity!
Food was good and atmosphere was good for a pub
Great Dinner with the family while enjoying the lights in Rochester.
We had a very nice table near the window to look outdoors at the Christmas lights. I ordered decaf coffee with Baileys. The drink looked amazing with whip cream on the top. Everyone I was with was happy with their food. However, I had pulled pork and it was too salty. Next time I'll try something else.
We had a great family dinner. The food was delicious, the live music was fun and the Holiday light display in downtown Rochester was fantastic!
Great pub for a holiday dinner with family and friends.
First time here and we will definitely be back! I was excited to try this place because my boyfriend is from England so I wanted to see if he could get some good food here (although Irish and not English, some food is similar) We started out with a starter platter with traditional fare, like the Irish eggrolls, scotch eggs and boxties...and they were excellent! I had the fisherman's pot pie and will have to force myself to try something else on the menu the next time we come back it was so good. My boyfriend, believe it or not, ordered their burger - not at all what I thought he would order but he said it was really good as well!
Enjoyed a very nice meal with friends. The hostess and the waitress were very nice and obliging even though it was a very busy night. I would definitely return. Thank you!
Really liked OConners, food was excellent. Fish & chips,Reuben... Definitely will be back.
Food was great and it was a festive time as always in Rochester at Christmas time
The wait way to long to get a drink. Food wtook to long to be served. Food was good
Great food, great people
We'd been there once for a Sunday lunch, so decided to go again on a Saturday night, which was a big mistake. We were seated promptly because we had a reservation, however, because of the location of our table, every time the front door opened it created a draft directly on us and we were cold the whole time because the restaurant was crazy busy. We ordered the steak bits appetizer, well done, but they came out rare. Since it was swamped and we barely saw our waitress, we ate it anyway. However, when our sandwiches arrived, my BLT contained bacon that was almost raw. Two small pieces were cooked, however the rest of it was a glob of fat, so we sent it back. My husband's French dip was equally as poorly prepared, except that it was so over cooked that the meat was similar to jerky and the cheese had congealed (it had clearly been sitting too long and wasn't hot). He ate half. My replacement salad was mediocre at best. At least the fries were decent. Except to deliver our food, our waitress was inattentive. At one point, she noticed my coke was empty, grabbed the glass (I assumed she was going to re-fill it), and then disappeared. When she delivered the salad, I asked if I could have my beverage back and she seemed surprised - clearly she had forgotten it. I wouldn't recommend the place when it's busy (ie Saturday night), but perhaps the overall quality of service and food is better when they're not overwhelmed.
Your restaurant should be not be on the open table list. I didn't read the fine print because this is a reservation website, not a binding contract. Open table is not for call ahead it is for reservations. this was very aggravating when I showed up and was told I would be put at the front of the call ahead list. the hostess was nice enough to bump me to the front because she felt bad but O'connors is wasting their time on your app and being deceitful towards customers as we think we are getting a reservation.
Normally I would give this restaurant a higher rating, but this time, it was very mediocre. My hamburger was cold and overcooked - and missing the cheese. The beer selection was smaller than usual. No where to hang coats. Overall, was a disappointing experience.
Made reservations for a early dinner this past Saturday, then planned to walk around Rochester and enjoy the Christmas lights. Our service was a pleasant young girl. I thought the interior of the place was dirty and needs a big update and cleaning, the walls have rips where there were probably at different times advertisements or perhaps decorations of sort, the floors were dirty, the table sticky, the food was nothing to rave about. My fruit cup had melon only and I asked the server what is in the fruit cup before I ordered it and she name several things, guess my order got slighted. I had a vegetarian sandwich, the bun was very good, my boyfriend had some grilled vegetables and chicken strips. He ate his food but didn't say anything to me one way or another.
Nice menu variety, very tasty food but extreme noise level throughout the entire establishment.
The fries were soggy. There was barely any meat on the corned beef sliders. The fish lacked seasoning. Disappointing!
Love the Snug room. Used it as a working conference room during slow time between lunch & dinner with co-workers. Didn't order any food but good selection of beer. No selection in this form/review for NA=Not applicable since we did not order or sample the food.
Always meet my friends here for lunch and then shopping in Rochester. Best darn corn beef around! 👍🏻
Best corned beef around. Gets us coming back every time!
Food always excellent. Started with appetizers of House Smoked Buffalo Wings, Limerick Chicken Tenders and Buffalo Blue Cheese Chicken Meatballs. 3 in our party eat low carb so a Rueben minus the bread always works excellent. Instead of fries we get broccoli. Best corned beef around. Brother in law got the Brawler burger, excellent. One sister in law got fish & chips, always excellent. Other sister in law got shepherd’s pie. Again, excellent. Drinks and beer - outstanding. Management let me reserve the little side hub room next to the bar so it was perfect.
Good food! Lunch time wasn’t too busy - so noise was good.
Overall just and average restaurant, it’s a little pricy, and the service was ok.
Best corn beef around. Love downtown Rochester and love O’Connor’s public house. Great burgers, great corn beef, nice beverage selection.
What a fantastic place! The food is fantastic - I have tried about everything on the menu and have never had a bad meal! The Piedmontese Burger is my favorite. The servers are always friendly and fast. Definitely a neighborhood gem!
Really authentic fare! Super delicious and very reasonably priced. If you want a true pub experience, definitely visit Gus O'Connors.
We enjoyed an outstanding meal. The service was amazing. It was a great value for the money. I will definitely make it one of my “go to” restaurants.
Burgers are really good, great list of beer's on tap! The downside very loud and seating is tight.
My sons pick for his 28th Birthday. We like the selection of Irish fare.Good selection of draft, craft, hard cider, and wine. Our table had Irish Poutine,Steak Boxty,Dublin Curry chicken, and Smoked Bbq Ribs and everyone liked their choices with no complaints.Would go back again.Live Music was close to our table and a bit hard to converse but the 1 man folk singer was good.
