Ocho at Hotel Havana
OBSESSED. LOVE THIS PLACE. Food and atmosphere were amazing.
The happy hour used to awesome, which is the only reason we would go, but now there is no HH on Fridays. It was hot inside. The server was good though.
The food was amazing! This place is adorable and very close to the main section of the river walk without being in the crowds. I highly recommend the empanadas and the mojitos. Robby was an amazing bar tender. He goes back and forth from the main restaurant upstairs to the Havana Bar downstairs. Which, I also really recommend going downstairs to the bar.
If you think you are making a reservation during restaurant week for lunch, don’t bother. They are only doing restaurant week for dinner even though opentable specifies $15 lunch and allows you to reserve for lunch hours. Everything on the menu is overpriced.
Our waiter was rude. The food was delicious. Our waiter did not even give us his name.
Great food and ambiance... perfect for celebrations or special occasions. Friendly staff , unique and warm setting
We were in San Antonio from Houston and staying nearby so we decided to check out Ocho! We were there in a Saturday so they were only serving the brunch menu, but were able to bring us chips and guacamole as an appetizer despite not being on the menu! It was a cute atmosphere, drinks were good and so was the service!
Horrible service. Should hire employees that actually want to work
Great ambiance. The brunch menu is amazing and they even had CBD iced coffee if you aren’t up for a mimosa.
Good food, nice location overlooking the San Antonio river
Love eating here! The food is fantastic!
Overall highly recommend!
Excellent food, excellent service, uniquely beautiful restaurant on river walk but away from the hustle and bustle.
The food was really good, but not good enough to be worth sitting through the terrible service and waiting an hour for chips and salsa.
Music was great, food was terrific!
The food was good, flies and birds were not necessary, and the server was aloof.
Beautiful space! Came for brunch, so it was very chill. Good food, but very small portions. Did feel it was a little overpriced.
Absolutely loved our time here, the service was amazing. Our waitress was Emily, and she was so sweet and helpful. The aesthetics were beautifully done, and the food was creative and lovely.
Great atmosphere, drinks, and food!
Wonderful experience, everything from the atmosphere, vibe, service, food and drinks! Would highly recommend for an intimate dinner. Will have to come back and even maybe stay at the Hotel Havana.
Our visit was a very pleasant experience. The setting and food were great. Service was wanting. Our server dissappeared, not tending our table.
The restaurant is gorgeous! However, the service was incredibly slow and it took forever for our good to come out. Hopefully they were just having an off morning!
Great service, decent food for the price. Definitely get the horchata creme brûlée! Only downside was the severe setting sun coming through the riverside windows. Would highly recommend for a late dinner closer to or after sunset.
Beautiful glass restaurant..light and brute. Romantic.great ambiance. Great good and attentive service.
We made our reservation for Ocho based on the very interesting menu and we were not disappointed.
The food was very creative our party of 3 all had a delicious meal. It would be great if they could add some dedicated gluten free options to the menu too. Our server Josh was very attentive and gave us guidance in choosing our dishes. The atmosphere of Ocho is beautiful. It’s inside eating that feels like you’re outside. All windowed with lovely giant chandeliers. We will definitely come back for another meal. P.S. do not skip dessert! Best creme brûlée I’ve had in a very long time.
Waitress was extremely unfriendly! Food took a full hour to come, and dessert another 45 minutes. Waitress stopped by our table maybe 4 times in 2.5 hours - we were there from 7pm until past 9:30pm, with almost no service. Waitress never even asked how food was (was not great) and got very rude, almost ANGRY, when we requested separate tickets - then demanded in a very annoyed manner that we each remind her what we ordered. Never again.
Very nice restaurant. On the river walk but away from tourist
The atmosphere, food, and waiters were superb!
I would go again in a heart beat!
Excellent restaurant in a fancy hotel - right on the Riverwalk! It was amazing from service to the food. Gracias for the memorable experience 💜
Unique. Good food and drinks. Would go back there again
We went to Ocho for brunch. The interior is really pretty! The food took awhile but it was delicious.
Beautifully unique space. Very welcoming. Our server was very sweet but it seemed they needed help as it grew busier. The manager was very kind and would check on us regularly as well. The fruit plate we ordered was tasty however the fruit began to be warm as it seemed it placed on a hot plate. The cuban dish was fantastic! We enjoyed ourselves but the value of the product didn’t seem to be equal to the pricing provided.
My boyfriend took me for a brunch date cause we were visiting San Antonio, and this place was the best one I’ve ever went with all the best restaurants we tried. This place is romantic, foods are really good! And ofcourse our server, Emily, is such a good sweet one
It was great. The food and drinks were amazing. Just wish the customer service from the waiter was a bit better.
Everything was delicious! Our waiter was so kind and patient with my nephew who obviously wasn’t sure about the different sides. He brought him a small sample to taste test if he wanted that side with dinner. And there was a little longer wait but the waiter brought us lemonade at no charge and kept us updated on how long. And the wait wasn’t anything too crazy at all!! Loved everything about it!
We spent our anniversary weekend in San Antonio and fell in love with this hidden little dive. It’s everything it claims to be and more! Love the glass walls, turquoise and herringbone patterns! I ordered the Americano Breakfast and it didn’t disappoint. Will be finding an excuse to come back every chance we get.
Nice little place.
Lovely restaurant and ambiance. No wait as we were seated immediately. The food was delicious but, because we order seafood dishes, not very filling. We would also do better at planning the time of day to go... Hot food outside under the hot Texas sun can be a bit counterproductive. But you live and you learn. Still would certainly recommend this restaurant as the view to the River Walk was gorgeous compliment to the whole ambiance.
Food was great. The service was slow but the view and ambiance was great that I hardly noticed the food was taking too long.
Nice location. Decent value.
