This was our first experience at this restaurant. We enjoy teriyaki dinners at Japanese restaurants, but the beef and salmon were warm, far from sizzling on a plate and drenched with warm jarred soy sauce. Never order teriyaki dinners or boxed deep fried calamari at this restaurant. We complained to the manager that no one came to our table to ask how everything was. I wanted to send the food back but my husband was so hungry he ate our dinner and did not want to wait. We were told by the manager that sushi is their specialty and the items we ordered were clearly not. They provided some compensation for our displeasure. Great sushi, mediocre ambiance and service. We enjoyed everything we ordered. Sushi and sashimi were fresh and delicious; the special rolls were creative and tasty. Better than average sushi spot located in Caldwell. Nice selection of fresh sushi. They actually had fresh Uni and Saba on the menu which many lessor places do not. My only knock was that they use mock or fake crab meat as part of their Sushi Deluxe and Chirashi offerings. The service was friendly but a bit o the slow side. The service and ambiance was very good. The food was acceptable. We are used to going to Kenko Sushi in Lincoln Park which is rated the best sushi in NJ and it is. So we held this up to a very high standard. I had the sweet potato tempura roll and the banana cucumber roll. The sweet potato tempura roll was tasty but small. The banana cucumber roll was delicious but small. A very unique combo that I truly enjoyed. It wasn’t too sweet either. It was good but I’m not sure if I would return.この情報は役に立ちましたか？
