The food was excellent. Loved the Oceancrat flavor (which the waitress recommended) on my food. The host and waitress were very friendly. I will be back.

We have been here several times- always with Open Table reservations - and have never been disappointed - until this time.
The regular dining room was overbooked, with not a table available. So they put us in their adjoining, different restaurant, which was cold (and got colder with drafts any time the door was opened). My S/O is affected by cold. She had to wear her coat through the entire visit.
The server was very nice, but we suspect that she forgot to put our order in. It was a simple, easy to prepare, order, but we sat and watched and waited and waited while others, who arrived well after we did, were served and halfway through their meals, before ours arrived.
Then, it was as though its preparation was an afterthought. Usually, the shrimp and corn are infused with the flavor of the seasoning and whichever heat level we chose. This time there was way too much grease on the bottom of the dish, not nearly enough of the seasoning sat on top of the grease and the shrimp appeared to be nothing but bland boiled shrimp thrown on top of the seasoning, as did the corn - nearly flavorless.
While every restaurant can have an off night, too much was wrong at this visit. I suspect that, my S/O (she had the same complaints as I did) and I will spend some time before considering a return.

Place seemed under staffed for a Saturday night. When we first arrived it was almost full and the room we sat in only had one server for the longest time. Eventually saw a second server come in to help but took a while to get helped bc there was only one person taking orders.

Excellent food, just a little too much sauce. I would recommend it highly. Don’t wear anything clothing that you wouldn’t want stained.

I highly recommend the bucket for two with the house toppings. It is an old bay, garlic, butter, lemon pepper, bread crumb feast.

If you got a good stomach you can handle it. If not just get it with the old bay.

That’s a great atmosphere, but a great value. Bucket for two as snow crab, clams, and loads of large shrimp. It also comes with fried rice And hush puppies

You’ll be completely stuffed without any pasta.

Leftovers for another day.

Finally it’s a bring your own. Bring some white wine at the feast

As usual, since we dine there relatively often, we had our usual great time. There is too much food for us in the standard boiling pots, so we usually each get one pound of shrimp, seasoned to our liking. The options run from mild to 'too hot for human consumption.' LOL And differ types of seasoning - lemon butter, garlic, Old Bay (our favorite) and more are available. And, each of those can be had with the spiciness level you like. However, I do have this one word of warning. If you don't like spicy, order off the regular part of the menu, but don't miss this place. everyone should try it at least once.

The service was very polite and the ambiance was nice. However, the food was bland and very unappealing. The portions were not equivalent to the price of the food. We were very disappointed especially since the establishment received good reviews.

This was our 1st time there. We asked for Old Bay it tasted like it was alll garlic. We asked for bbq wings for appetizer they brought us reg wings w/just a few squirts of bbq sauce on them not even covered. The sausage was mushy & we couldn’t eat. The fried rice tasted like soy sauce & sesame oil which I’m allergic to. It was just the worst experience I’ve ever had at any restaurant. Will never ever go bk or recommend.

OMG! We’ve been to many boiling seafood houses but this one takes the prize!!! It was an amazing experience: from the excellent customer service to the delicious meals, we were in heaven. Definitely recommend. Be prepared to get dirty as with seafood, the stinkiness is there, but also be ready to enjoy the tastiest seafood meals ever! They wrap your seafood in special bags that keep them warm and aromatic the whole time. We order 5 different buckets and loved them all. Experience this wondeful place and be your own judge!

This was our third trip to Oceancrat. The place was absolutely packed. It seems that more people have learned about it and the word has spread. It is worth experiencing. My S/O and I are not huge eaters, so we each will order one pound of boiled shrimp (head off) spice and sauced as we like it. The first time there, we started with an order of buffalo wings, but found it to be just too much food for us. Conversely, we have seen people eating so much seafood there that we don't know where they put it al. Ha! If you order a basic pot, as we each do, it comes with a boiled potato and peace of corn that is sweet, but adds in the flavors of the sauce and seasoning.
Go dressed casually. The seating is fine, but you will make a mess, so they use paper for tablecloths, but supply unlimited napkins. You will need them if you are enjoying yourself and having fun too - which you will.

This was our second time there. Since the big pots are just too much food for two of us to eat, we ordered shrimp (with heads off). Each order is one pound of shrimp, a piece of corn and a potato. My shrimp was in garlic butter, mildly spicy. Hers was medium spicy, in Oceancrat special sauce - a combination of all of their sauces combined. Both were delicious. We shared. Her corn was very tasty, picking up some of the flavor in the sauce. Mine was as sweet and delicious as any corn I ever had. Will we return? Obviously. I just hope that reviews like mine don't make it so popular that we have trouble getting in.

King crab legs were very old. They must have been frozen for a long time. I couldn't even break it with the tools they gave me because the chitin had become soft and gummy. Service was slow and did not even give me a specials menu.

There were two of us who went there for the first time We considered one of their buckets, but the four pounds of seafood, plus corn and potato was just too much food for us. So we order separate orders of one pound of shrimp - her's spicy and mine garlic butter. We shared them. The shrimp were a nice size and were tender and delicious. We tasted the potato, but passed on it, because we agreed that it just tasted like a boiled potato, but the corn was delicious. We also preceded the shrimp with a small order of Sweet Thai Chili Chicken wings which were very good. However, next time (and there will be a next time), we will skip the wings, as we were barely able to finish the shrimp.
This restaurant is different. The food is excellent. However, it is not fine dining, just casual dining. Try it; I'd be shocked if you were disappointed.

Went to a similar restaurant when I lived in Arizona and wanted to try this place to see how it is. Of course not comparable to the amazing AZ restaurant but decent. The only down side is the service was very poor. Waitress made multiple errors with the order and they had run out of multiple fountain drinks. Even though we were there at 1:30 for lunch. Disappointing that you run out of drinks so early. Also the waitress questioned one of our family members on the large order for herself and said: “This is all for you?”...Certainly not something you ask someone as its very unprofessional. Food is good, and decent value.

All fried unless you want a bucket and a pound of seafood. Hostess/server greeted us and seemed confused about why we were there. Looks nice enough on pictures on Open Table but no if you want a nice or healthy meal.

Food was ok. I had the lobster and it was a bit chewy. Sodas are not refillable. If I’m spending $150 for 3, soda’s should be refillable. Not really sure if I would go again. Service was good but price and food were so so.

My friend and I came to celebrate National Foodies Day. I heard about this place after reading the Courier Post and my friend drives by everyday going home from work. We decided to give it a try. We ordered a bucket of snow crab legs, shrimp, sausage, corn on the cob and potatoes. We had it made with the Oceancrat special seasoning and medium heat. It was delicious. Next time, I plan to try the hot heat. I love that they provided gloves.

Only real complaint was the bucket of shellfish was overly filled with the sauce it’s steamed in making eating very messy. They give you gloves, but who wants to east with gloves?

The quality of our main dishes was good, but slightly high priced for what you received. For an appetizer we ordered the mozzarella sticks which were ok but didn’t come with any marinara sauce as you are accustomed to receiving. They also don’t provide you any utensils unless requested and even then, they are plastic.
