Oceanaire Seafood Room - Orlando Ratings and Reviews
Can’t really put my finger on anything specific but seemed to lack on service. Cocktail arrived not as described on the menu. Food quality was fine but not at the level the prices suggest. Can’t suggest it - I would not return. At these prices you expect more.
Very disappointing experience. Group of 7 took over 3 hours, everything was slow. Most of the dinners came out cold and one steak way over cooked. The food tasted ok but just wasn't hot. Our server was very good, but management didn't seem to care much. FYI this is the first negative review I have every written!
We did not recive the right type of fish (we ordered mahi mahi grilled did not taste nor look like mahi mahi which is our favorite fish to eat amd very familiar with fish and taste) we were the only people who were dressed up, had to flag down manager with classroom style hand up (jeff manager was excellent he helped us out with servers lack of attention) out server jose dis not let me finish my complaint in our supposed "mahi mahi" and walked away. One of our party members had asked for more butter and jose never returned with it. We recieved our request for more butter or scampi sauce after party member was done eating. Jeff (manager outstanding job) brought order of extra scampi sauce after we had informed him of lack of service from waiter jose. We felt as though jose had ignored us after compliant of meal (which he did not let me finish stating complaint and walked away). Also I'm very unimpressed that our party was the only party dressed for a reservation for an upscale restaurant. Bill was 114. Jeff did comp us a desert which waiter jose had put onto our order after we had corrected him on the matter. So lack of communication on Jose's part. Please contact me back as I am a minnesota resident which is where the ocenaire originated. 651-746-4229
Been here many times. Food and service very good. However parking garage is a nightmare with no attendants. Automated Exit machines constantly broken and validation ticket frequently don’t work. The only thing worse than the parking garage is the valet parking!! Average wait time for valet is 20 mins both coming and going. This has been an ongoing problem at Pointe Orlando. Parking is badly mismanaged and medival. You have to really want to dine here to deal with the parking hassles. If you are a tourist, use Uber!!! You will thank me!
AMAZING from beginning to end!! Our waiter, Tim was very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. He was awesome!! My husband had the crab cake dinner- he loved them. I had Hawaii Perch-Simply Prepared that was outstanding! We couldn’t decide on one dessert so we got Key Lime Pie and Carrot Cake- both were very good- and we took half of each back. My only suggestion would be to make the desserts smaller for one person. Definitely would recommend this restaurant.
I have always been a fan of Oceanaire I enjoy their wonderful seafood selection that changes based upon season and availability. The wait staff is very professional and the atmosphere is very nice. One of the best additions and surprises were the oyster selections as well as the ceviche, to die for. Highly recommend the experience
My boss was in town so we went to the Oceanaire Seafood Room because he requested seafood. There were five of us total and four people got the twin lobster tails and one person got the blackened swordfish. Every one of us absolutely loved our meal and my boss was happy, so we were all happy!!!! I will be back to OSR with my wife to have a date night and also now have a wonderful place to bring out-of-town guests!!!!
we had a great time.our waiter was vey polite, knowledgable and responsive.all staff we encountered were friendly. appetizers as well as entrees were prepared to perfection.just great. make sure to leave room for dessert and definitely try the baked Alaska on the menu which is out of this world !!!...just fantastic.
Very nice atmosphere. Excellent service. fish and seafood was very fresh. Wide selection of fish and seafood. Our server was attentive and pleasant and went out of his way to answer questions about items on the menu.
The only complaint I have is that the creme brulee was too heavy. The flavor was quite good but the cream should have been a lighter texture.
We have frequented Oceannaire multiple times in Denver and always had nothing but an amazing experience. After many years, we decided to try Orlando for my birthday. It was simply- OK. After $300, we were a bit disappointed that we just didn’t go to Capital Grille or another fine dining establishment. The food was fine, wine was good, but the service was slow. Sometimes the server was nowhere to be found. A few tables left. We spend a lot of money eating out, and it just wasn’t the Oceanaire we remember from Denver. I would go back to the bar for some oysters and wine, but not much more than that. Sorry this just didn’t work out for us.
The service was not expected for the culture that this restaurant produced. My fiance and I were celebrating our anniversary and decided to do the magical dining experience at this restaurant. The server overall seemed unpleased with our company and business here and was unprofessional. The server did not seem impressed with a party that was going to partake in the magical dining experience as when we asked for the menu our server was hasty and unprofessional. My fiance an I enjoy trying restaurants that we normally would not indulge in throughout the magical dining experience in hopes to find a nice restaurant that we can visit again for special occasions. I will NOT visit this restaurant again due to poor service. I will NOT recommend this restaurant to other due to poor service, not even for the magical dining value.
