Oceanaire Seafood Room - Orlando Ratings and Reviews
First time I have dined at Oceanaire. Was previously told by associate that it was a great seafood restaurant. I was not disappointed. Had some very creative seafood dishes and combinations on the menu. First time I tried Tile Fish - superb. Finished off with Baked Alaska - loved it!
Amazing fresh seafood options . Took customers there one day and had such a great evening we went back 24 hours later for dinner the next night without a customer. Food is AMAZING. Noise level is HIGH. This is not the place for a quite conversation, but ignore the noise and go for the food. I could (should) have stopped with just the fresh oysters, but ended up with an amazing swordfish entree and the family style sides. Then, we shared probably the BEST bread pudding I have ever had. You won't be disappointed.
Excellent food––but very pricey! For example, who pays $62 for steak? Granted, it's a seafood eatery but why charge so much for meat? One person, who doesn't like fish, was forced to order fish & chips because she didn't want to pay such an outrageous price for steak. Although the seafood prices were high, they were much more reasonable and the four others really enjoyed their dishes.
This was one of the worst evenings ever. The servers could not find the wine listed on the menu. We were told to select another and shortly thereafter, they found the original wine we ordered. We did not get a pour until we were finished with the appetizers. The appetizers and entrees were good except for the lobster which I would rate as mediocre at best. We were seated at the back of the restaurant and the restaurant was fairly empty. Now, I know why.
The service was terrible. First not getting our wine until we were finished with the appetizers but the server also poured the wrong wine at our table for the 2nd pour. She apologized. We tried the incorrect wine and it was terrible so she brought new glasses to repour our wine. Not sure if we got the right amount or if they poured the other table the wrong wine.
Overall the value was terrible for the service and overall experience. We were celebrating our friend's new job and we didn't feel like the servers were attentive or caring or our experience. The price for the meal was outlandish for the quality of the food and poor service.
We will never visit this restaurant again.
Located in Pointe Orlando, Oceanaire was recommended by the hotel we were staying at. We are locals and go on many staycations, so we were excited to try this restaurant. I had ordered a blackened fish, which they put on so much seasoning that I could not taste the fish. My husband ordered a fish that had spicy crab on top. Again, so much of the spicy crab, you couldn't taste the fish. The clam chowder was the best thing we had and it required salt and pepper. It was overpriced for the dishes that we ate. I will say that the service was great and the decor is great, but sadly, we probably won't ever return.
Food was amazing! Went for our anniversary. Got a special menu, free dessert, and a card signed by the staff. Had an appetizer to share and we both ordered our meal without sides. I was stuffed by the time we left. Honestly one of the most delicious meals I've ever had. Scallops were so good!
Happy thanksgiving dinner! Barbara was our outstanding server. Very prompt, great menu suggestions. Beautiful, elegant surroundings. Not crowded in the middle of a holiday afternoon. While children are welcome, they may not like to sit quietly still in this pricey, upscale dining. We shall return.
We went to Oceanaire for Thanksgiving dinner. Although they had a special Turkey dinner for the holiday, we went with the regular menu starting off with shrimp cocktail which was absolutely amazing. Excellent wine choices by the glass. Two of us ordered Alaskan Red King Crab and the other ordered the scallops. They offered to shell the crab for us before they served it.. so much easier to eat and the crab was plentiful and delicious. Scallops were also amazing. Coupled with cream corn and hash brown side dishes..made for an overall fantastic meal. One of the best service and quality of food experiences we’ve ever had!! Highly recommend ! Michael was an awesome server!
On each of my last three trips to Orlando I have had two free nights and each trip I have gone to the Oceanaire Seafood Room both free nights. I love the fresh fish, especially when simply prepared, and appreciate the local Florida fish whenever it is available. The expanded wine list has some amazing gems on it and the wine prices are not unreasonably high. I have also enjoyed meals at the bar with excellent wines by the glass. I have had outstanding service on every visit (Michele three times and Elie once).
Can’t really put my finger on anything specific but seemed to lack on service. Cocktail arrived not as described on the menu. Food quality was fine but not at the level the prices suggest. Can’t suggest it - I would not return. At these prices you expect more.
Very disappointing experience. Group of 7 took over 3 hours, everything was slow. Most of the dinners came out cold and one steak way over cooked. The food tasted ok but just wasn't hot. Our server was very good, but management didn't seem to care much. FYI this is the first negative review I have every written!
We did not recive the right type of fish (we ordered mahi mahi grilled did not taste nor look like mahi mahi which is our favorite fish to eat amd very familiar with fish and taste) we were the only people who were dressed up, had to flag down manager with classroom style hand up (jeff manager was excellent he helped us out with servers lack of attention) out server jose dis not let me finish my complaint in our supposed "mahi mahi" and walked away. One of our party members had asked for more butter and jose never returned with it. We recieved our request for more butter or scampi sauce after party member was done eating. Jeff (manager outstanding job) brought order of extra scampi sauce after we had informed him of lack of service from waiter jose. We felt as though jose had ignored us after compliant of meal (which he did not let me finish stating complaint and walked away). Also I'm very unimpressed that our party was the only party dressed for a reservation for an upscale restaurant. Bill was 114. Jeff did comp us a desert which waiter jose had put onto our order after we had corrected him on the matter. So lack of communication on Jose's part. Please contact me back as I am a minnesota resident which is where the ocenaire originated. 651-746-4229
Been here many times. Food and service very good. However parking garage is a nightmare with no attendants. Automated Exit machines constantly broken and validation ticket frequently don’t work. The only thing worse than the parking garage is the valet parking!! Average wait time for valet is 20 mins both coming and going. This has been an ongoing problem at Pointe Orlando. Parking is badly mismanaged and medival. You have to really want to dine here to deal with the parking hassles. If you are a tourist, use Uber!!! You will thank me!
AMAZING from beginning to end!! Our waiter, Tim was very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. He was awesome!! My husband had the crab cake dinner- he loved them. I had Hawaii Perch-Simply Prepared that was outstanding! We couldn’t decide on one dessert so we got Key Lime Pie and Carrot Cake- both were very good- and we took half of each back. My only suggestion would be to make the desserts smaller for one person. Definitely would recommend this restaurant.
I have always been a fan of Oceanaire I enjoy their wonderful seafood selection that changes based upon season and availability. The wait staff is very professional and the atmosphere is very nice. One of the best additions and surprises were the oyster selections as well as the ceviche, to die for. Highly recommend the experience
