The food was spectacular! The drinks were slow getting to the table, but we're delicious. Highly recommend the Oceanaire 2.0 from their specialty cocktail list, and if you stay for dessert, the baked alaska! Filled with a pumpkin flavor of ice cream for the season...my personal favorite! Overall a wonderful birthday meal!
We had to ask to move because the table next to us was so loud, obnoxious, and rude... throwing food that landed in our booth. Hope your experience is different. Wasn't expecting that type of clientele..... But then again how could I predict anything in 2020?
I will go back, specifically asking for privacy and space.
We really enjoyed our date night! Service and food were great.
Didn’t have a full Menu and what they did have was over priced for the quantity. Was our first time here and would be our last. Very disappointed.
Oysters were fresh & delicious. I wasn't told they were out of king crab until I tried to order it, which was disappointing. Portions were rather small for the price. Drinks & service were great!
Service was poor. Drinks always left empty.
It was a lovely evening. The service staff was a team and everyone was very polite.
we had a party of six and were treated very well by three servers. good social distancing followed, food excellent. We are all locals and don't do I drive very often, we would recommend and would return.
Oceanaire is perfect for fresh seafood prepared in a unique way that keeps you craving more week after week. The service levels are proper and I love that they make us feel like they know us every couple weeks or so!
We were very pleased with our visit to Oceanaire Seafood. Our server was very attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. We were pleasantly surprised to find a $47 bottle of very good Chardonnay at a special price of $29. Our seafood dishes were fresh, flavorful, and not too heavy. It only took about 10 minutes from the time we ordered until our food arrived. COVID precautions were strictly followed. The manager even checked on us. I would definitely go back there if in the Orlando area.
This was our second visit to Oceanside during Orlando’s Magical Dining. We were so impressed with the food , we had to return. Our waiter, Steven, was personable and provided excellent service. We have added this restaurant to our favorites when in Orlando.
Came for the last night of Magical Dining and the Halloween Weekend menu.
The food for my group was delicious and we all throughly enjoyed the different options.
They food was good but our waiter was slow as heck when it came to bringing us more drinks, it was much better in the past, not sure if we will be back.
We came for my sister birthday we did magical dining we had 4 in our party ordered steak well done only one steak was worth eating my husband lobster tail was not cook server took it back came back literally the 2nd one the server brought him back was the same way very disappointed
The grouper cheeks were amazing. I will be dining here again.
First impressions are the one that counts and I have to say I got a very good one from Oceanaire. Service was excellent, food was excellent. Definitely I'll go back.
Our waiter was horrible. We felt he thought we didn’t have enough money to be there. I ordered off magical dining menu and my friends wanted a Caesar salad. He kept saying he can split there salad off magical menu. I thought that was rude they wanted a Salad for dinner not a bargain. We wasn’t offered bread we saw it at another when asked he said it was a small fee. OK WE WANT BREAD. Lastly we saw our waiter giving a table hot towels. We wasn’t giving that. I will never come back to this restaurant because of the service.
Great food and service. Thank you
The restaurant itself is very nice an upscale in atmosphere. The food on the other hand was really bad, we had the calamari and Caesar salad to begin with and they had no flavor whatsoever. The lobster and steak was not bad jus tiny portions for the price. The desserts were inedible, they both tasted of old refrigerated items and the whipped cream they used had gone rancid. Staff was not very friendly either. Not sure if it was an off day but I will not be returning.
This is one of the best seafood restaurants that I've ever been to. The food was so amazing. The service was great. The ambience was amazing.
Lobster Mac and cheese very bland and lobster rubbery. Magical dining options appeared pre-prepared. Best part of the dinner was our wonderful waitress. She is the only reason they get at least 3 stars. She delivered 5 star service.
Outstanding customer service. It was my wife’s birthday and everything was served has plan. We’ll be back definitely. The waitress from Pittsburgh was outstanding , polite and very professional
We had a bad experience. Calamari was greasy. Chowder had a great flavor but no clams. All four fish dishes very dry. Sides were overpriced for what you got. Wine decanter was chipped and they still used it. Very unimpressed. They did comp the meal but honestly it was its time for a complete overhaul. No mgmt presence on the floor tells me its a free for all. Sad.
Double date for Magical Dining. Nice, quiet atmosphere, pleasant for conversation, with very friendly staff. They would have been perfect, had they been more attentive. Only complaint, was we had to look for them and wave them down several times. Did was pretty good, but a couple of slight adjustments had to be made.
Continue to provide a consistently high quality experience even in the era of limited covid menus. The quality of their seafood remains excellent. Their excellent sourdough bread and relish tray, which used to be complimentary, is now an appetizer for $3.50 but very worth that. Wedge was excellent. 4 large stone crab claws for an appetizer was a nice choice. Crab cakes remain the best I have had in Orlando and compare to many Chesapeake Bay establishments. Hashbrowns ala Oceanaire remain a favorite side. Creamed corn is off the menu but sautéed spinach remains. Baked Alaska was pumpkin for Halloween. Very good.
The service was excellent, our server , she was very pleasant and professional
As many reviewers have noted before me, the Magical Dining experience leaves a lot of magic behind.
The server, Richie was pleasant enough until he totally forgot to bring the coffee both my sons ordered. We were ready to leave at that point and since the coffee did not appear on the bill, we let it go.
As for the food-it received a collective yawn from the four of us. We ordered from the Magical Dining menu, and my son added 4 oysters from the main menu. My clam chowder was good, nothing special. Everyone else had calamari, which received lukewarm reviews and a collective puzzlement over the deep fried lemon that accompanied the other items on the plate.
We asked about bread and were told that they did have bread, but it would be an extra charge. We agreed that this was fine and the bread arrived along with a small tray of crudites. The bread was warm and delicious. We ordered another loaf and ate that too. It usually does not speak highly of a restaurant when the bread is the most memorable part of the meal.
My husband ordered the black and blue redfish to try something new. The presentation looked unappetizing and according to him, there wasn't much taste. My son's grouper cheeks were equally disappointing. His comment was that all he could taste was the honey and spice. My other son's surf and turf was the best of the four entrees as he ordered his filet medium rare and it was cooked to order. I asked for mine to be well-done as I've learned that any other option is too rare for me. So I received a flattened piece of something that in another life was probably a meat source. It was blackened and tasted mostly of salt. The lobster tail was good, but both mine and my son's were barely warm.
The dessert options were disappointing: cheesecake, key lime pie, and sorbet. But at least the cheesecake and key lime pie tasted ok.
This was our first time at this restaurant. There was little to encourage us to return.
Wonderful food and great service. The drinks were also very good. The waiter made great suggestions
To be completely honest with you or was not what we expected. The service was average at best. After taking our order we never saw the servers again till the food was delivered. Then once more to deliver the dessert and checks. The entree's were alright. We were a party of 6. Three of us had the grouper cheeks they were very good the other three had the filet and lobster. The filet was great the lobster was cold. It was very disappointing that the entree came with no accompaniments at all. However we ordered the truffle potatoes the were the worse potatoes I have ever had in my life. They were hard, cold, dry, and had no flavor at all, the mixed vegetables I guess you could call it that but it is just squash and zucchini nothing else. Even to have bread with the soup and salad was an additional charge. The finishing touch the Key lime pie had great texture but lacked Key lime flavor was very bland. The cheesecake was dense and as dry as the Sarah desert.
We were all very disappointed. I am quite positive we will not be returning to or recommending the Oceanaire to anyone.
My husband and I went on a date Night here and took advantage of magical dining. We were pleasantly surprised. The food, ambience and service were all good. Our server was great and They even had a server assistant for refilling waters etc
I would definitely go again and recommend. The only reason I docked a star is because when they were 1st seating us we were initially sat a a table that we felt was a high traffic area with the potential for people walking back and forth. We asked for another table and they accommodated. Restaurant was not full, tables distanced and mask protocol was in effect until you get to your table.
Tried this restaurant as part of Orlando's Magical Dining month. I'm so glad we did! Food was great and the portion size was just right. Our waiter was attentive and engaging. Would definitely come back.
Great experience for anyone and any occasion! We will be back soon!
Great birthday celebration
I decided to dine at Oceanaire due to their participation with Magical Dining. I have previously attended 3 other locations that are also participating with Magical Dining. Oceanaire is by far, the least pleasant.
Service: My party members and myself were formally greeted at the door. Onces seated, the waiter portrayed the attitude of a man being forced to serve a peasant. The person accompanying me on the dinner was rushed various times as she was looking at the food items. It seemed as if the waiter was playing a game of hide and seek and he was the one hiding from us; he only came to the table when he was obligated to deliver our food.
Food: I chose the Fried calamari, filet Mignon with lobster tail and the cheesecake. The person accompanying me ordered the Clam chowder, one of their fish dishes and cheesecake.
The fried calamari were decent, filet Mignon was bland and not cooked properly ( I ordered medium and they served me medium well) and the cheesecake did not meet my expectations.
The clam chowder was cold and flavorless.
I would like to also notate, the waiter never provided me with a steak knife. I had to cut my filet Mignon with a butter knife due to the waiters game of hide and seek.
If I were to ever get asked for recommendations of fine dining, I will never suggest this disappointing location. I am completely aware I am paying a fraction of the cost of what I would normally pay if I did not attend magical dining. With that being said, Oceanaire is still considered a fine dining location and I would expect the food and service to meet that standard. After all, I am still a paying costumer.
P.s the waiter (Richie B) asking us if we would go clubbing after dinner was beyond tacky and unprofessional. My attire was not for attending a club.
Truly a magical experience!!! The food is made to order, the sides are additional but they're big enough to share. Service is on point, they take their time with you and they answer any questions you may have and you don't feel rushed.
I made a reservation a month ahead and called two days prior to let them know that we had a birthday. They took forever to give our food we didn’t leave until after 9, kind you they close at 9 because they took so long and the waiter ignored us for a good 15 minutes I guess he had to many tables that night. Then when it was time to bring the birthday dessert they RAN OUT! The waiter said they had 20 birthdays but how inconsiderate is that if I request it two days prior I would assume you would make sure the ones who reserved it when receive it. Honestly from the food, to the waiter and his wait time to them not having the dessert I would not come back and would not recommend this place. Terrible birthday celebration
I can't stand going to "high class restaurant" and getting an Applebees meal.
Over breaded calamari, liver tasting steak with rubbery lobster, and very salty halibut. So, DISAPPOINTED. This restaurant feels like it has just given up and to make excuses because of "Covid" and the magical dining plan the restaurant is not giving their all. WTH! It's at this time when most restaurants are closing, they should be putting out the best to ensure that the people that are still here to spend money come back.
I know it's minimal, but no bread with our meal. Restaurant here me out... it's the little things that count. What a waste of money. Don't bother eating here. Just go next door to Capitol Grill for an outstanding service and meal.
Beautiful restaurant food was very fresh. 👌 Service was great.
The best Magical Dining experience ever! Food, service and ambiance was perfect.
The food here was delicious. My husband and I were very pleased. We were there for the Orlando Magical dining and we both had the filet and lobster as our entree. I highly recommend that. The filet was so tender and tasty. We both added a crab cake. That and the lobster were both wonderful too. He enjoyed the clam chowder very much and I enjoyed the crispy calimari. The dessert was great too. The staff was friendly and attentive. My husband and I both agree we would eat there again and again.
