Our waiter was very knowledgeable and attentive. I enjoyed his service. I was disappointed with the restaurant no having scallops. My visit was to try the large scallops. I settle for entrée from the day select and it was totally bland and soggy. I tried the full lobster with crab meat, mushrooms and spinach with lobster sauce. The mushroom too chunky and spinach show have been sautéed my preference. The transition from chunky to mushy crabmeat was a disaster. No to end with no seasonings. Ending with a wonderful treat for my birthday, enjoyed!
While expensive, everything is excellent for seafood choices, taste, ambiance and service. Our only issue was that the restaurant was cold. They were more than cooperative in seating us at a different site which was less cold. Service is pristine.

Fantastic find - Pricey but well worth it for special occasions, Thanks BOA for the introduction. Food fantastic, except for the sides. They were average. Wait staff very attentive, Read reviews prior to booking and was a bit worried about the wait staff. Glad I decided to book. If you get the chance it was well worth the price.
Celebrated my wife's birthday here and everything was perfect. They surprised her with a happy birthday message on the menu and a dessert compliments of the waiter. Food was delicious and our waiter was great.

We had a lovely wine dinner at Oceanaire. The Diablo shrimp rocks! I’m not sure if this is normally on the menu but it should be. Our whole table voted the lobster with cheese ravioli as their favorite dish of the night . The service was very attentive of course but I’ve had business meetings here and the service is always impeccable.
Good service from waiter but not from manager that didn’t seem to care about his inability to use $25 in Landry’s club credits on my account.
Classy place. Loved the wonderful background (recorded) jazz. Came back twice (I.e., 3 nights in a row) - once for the menu, once to the bar to repair a bad dining choice: it worked! The bar personnel were a delight with their camaraderie. Really felt GOOD here!

First time to The Oceanaire in Houston. We've been to the one in Dallas many times. Food and drinks were awesome as always.
Being positioned at a busy street at the Galleria and with windows facing the street, the restaurant really should close the curtains to minimize distractions - making the ambiance a bit more intimate environment.
First time dining here. Service was slow. We had to ask for tea several times. Our order was served wrong. Good food but over priced. Excellent dessert was bread pudding. That’s about all I’ll order next time.
Every time we go it’s a wonderful time from service to food. It’s one of the few places where you can get great drinks and a full course meal and everything is top notch . Nothing is skimped on when it comes to quality.
Bobbi (hostess) was a little bit rude and is she is going to work in the customer service industry she needs to work on her communication skills DO NOT BE THE FACE OF A COMPANY WITH AN UNCOUTH MENTALITY. Other than that Troy was our server he was ok. We had Ceviche mixto it’s ok if you like a lot of cucumber. The Ahi Tuna Tower was amazing very delightful, the grill oysters were amazing as well, the fish and chips was ok but not worth $15 prob $10 but it’s mostly fries and 1 piece of 2oz fish. The fish tacos were ok it’s and my friends had the filet sliders and said they were good

Ocenaire never disappoints. The crab cake was so delicious and tender and melted in your mouth. The Key Lime pie was the best I have ever tasted. The grilled shrimp and shrimp cocktail were divine. The wait staff here is also top notch. You won't be disappointed with anything on this menu.

This was our first visit to this Galleria seafood restaurant and we went for a Valentine's Day date. I guess we had avoided it because of its location, and it's not very alluring from the outside. But inside is a very different story, with a very roomy and pleasant ambience, two levels, and a nice bar scene at the entrance. The service was excellent from all the staff members. Although we had to wait a little, even though we had reservations, the reception staff opened a bottle of champagne and offered a glass to all those who were waiting with us. Nice touch! The food was very tasty and creative, and there was plenty left over for another meal the following day at home. For us this was definitely a pleasant surprise and worth many more visits.

Beyond AMAZING! Food was fantastic! Service was amazing! Mikiel was our server and I’ll ask for him every time. This was our first time here. The ambience is so peaceful. This is my go to place in the Galleria now. Highly recommend!
This Landry's hot spot does not disappoint. Meals were thoughtfully presented and delightfully prepared. From the seafood offerings to the steaks, the choices are fairly endless. The chicken fried lobster was an amazing feat and quite a plentiful platter. The 6oz. filet mignon was smooth in texture and rich in flavor. Truffle mashed potatoes as a side were a standout. German chocolate cake in the dessert offerings offered a nice firm chocolate cake that held up nicely against a thick cocoa icing (atypical, but very much appreciated), and typical coconut, pecan, sugar, butter, egg yolk filling (which is typically the frosting.)
Service on the other hand was rather off with our waitress. There were a few other table attendants, one Hispanic gentleman for water refills, and an individual that appeared to be at a manager's level. The two male staff were much more attentive to the table and we noted that to the former. Our waitress omitted to refill beverages, check back to verify food orders, and was pretty much awol for most of the meal. We observed her standing and having rather longish conversations with another co-worker. Obviously work was not uppermost on her mind that night. We were especially surprised when we noted to our waitress of two food allergies for one member of our party. Typically most restaurants are fairly sensitive and send over a manager to discuss and confirm that these ingredients will not be present in any individual or shared dishes. This was not the case. As a matter of fact it was only through trial and error did we find that the asparagus side for the table contained an allergy trigger for the one member of our party. Definitely a faux pas of the restaurant.
The food was good, the view was lovely (looking out onto passing Westheimer traffic), and the value also good.

Our meals were delivered in an hour and a half . That alone gives all ratings less than half. I had a salad and he had a piece of fish . I will not return to this chain

Some of the best Dover Sole i have ever eaten. Doug, our waiter, pick out a beautiful fish that was also very large. It was cooked perfectly and served with lump crabmeat lemon butter. We could barely finish it.
