This is a gorgeous restaurant, and we love the atmosphere. I've been here many times for business meetings during the day (office is in the Galleria Tower II,) and I was looking forward to coming for dinner with my boyfriend.

The evening got off to a rough start when the hostess said she didn't see our reservation. I had to show her my confirmation email, and, even then, she kept saying it wasn't there, and she didn't see it. She seemed a bit put off by the situation. I then showed her my Open Table app and showed that the reservation was still there. Quite suddenly, it appeared on her screen, and she seated us.

Our server was very polished and professional. The appetizers were fantastic: the oysters were fresh and briny, and the octopus was fabulous. But the entrees for both of us were somewhat disappointing. We both found our seafood (his scallops and my shrimp and lobster) to be quite overdone - just to the point of rubbery. Also disappointing is that I ordered the cauliflower, and it came out topped with breadcrumbs, which was not mentioned in the otherwise thorough description.

Elegant and beautiful ambiance. The service was outstanding. Our server, Bryce, was knowledgeable and understood our taste in food and wine immediately. He steered us in the right direction through our appetizer, entree choices, cocktail and wine selections. A memorable fine dining experience!

We came early for Happy Hour then were promptly seated at our table. I️ loved the personalized menus. The service was decent, but it could have been better. The waiter gave good service but he almost seemed as if he didn’t want to be there. A smile goes a long way. My steak came out very undercooked and they sent it back and brought out a new steak but by that time my husband was finished with his food. (I️ told him to eat because his food was getting cold) The food was really good. Mac and Cheese was amazing! All in all we would come back but only for happy hour.

My friends and I went for New Years Eve Dinner. Ordered appetizers and Entrees. We received our entrees but not the appetizers. It was pretty busy in there so I don’t know if the waiter forgot to put that in out order or if our appetizers ended up at another table. The entrees however were delicious!

We went to Oceanaire for our anniversary. The food was superb and the service even better. We had a lovely evening and even were treated to a delicious Baked Alaska. Would highly recommend even though the prices are a little high. Wonderful for a special occasion.

We had an exceptional waiter (Doug) who made many recommendations, all of them good.
Outstanding oysters I had never heard of called Great Whites. I haven't seem them on any other oyster menu in the area. But everything was cooked to our order and I believe every plate was cleaned. WAP!!

Our non profit group hosted our annual Christmas dinner here this year. Meridith was awesome. She was flexible, customized our menu with our group name, courteous, and professional. Our server Andre was phenomenal- so attentive, knowledgeable, patient with our questions, took our picture, and was professional as well. Great night with a pretty backdrop of Westheimer St. from the alcove table!

We waited an hour before our dinner order was taken. We realize that there were numerous holiday gatherings that evening but we were in celebrating our anniversary and didn’t expect such poor service. The manager did step in and take our order. Dinner and dessert were comped. No excuse for such poor service.

We have been dining at Oceanaire for many years and will continue to do so. We were slightly taken aback as the menu has changed with some traditional options being replaced by somewhat adventurous items. Putting trepidation aside we ordered and all enjoyed their selections.

Truly the best seafood establishment in Houston and surrounding area. We are from the East Coast and know fresh fish and seafood. Absolutely terrific food, atmosphere and service from Aaron.

The service was great however the oyster rock had so much garlic that you could not taste the oyster. When we were served our dinner the fish dish was cold.
We have visited the Oceanaire in Baltimore and the food was much better.

Service was absolutely TERRIBLE. Our waiter was downright rude and arrogant, as if he were doing us a big favor for serving us. Most of the time, he simply ignored us.

The food was just OK. We ordered the king crab but is was so salty, we were unable to finish it. This place is very expensive and considering that there are plenty other good options for seafood in Houston, I see no reason for going back.

While the food and service were very good, the value for the money was lacking, $20 for two sea scallops is ludicrous. This was our first time dining here and it will be the last!
