Waiter was very knowledgeable, food was great and a great scene in the middle of Houston.

Overall a very good restaurant, lovely menu. Only critique was the service which was not that attentive. Had to keep waving and simple things (like coffee) took forever to arrive. Sort this out and it would be 4 or 5 stars across the board
The food and atmosphere is great at Oceanaire. Good place for a celebration or a romantic night out.
Oceanaire was my first choice when contemplating restaurants for a crucial business dinner discussion. I knew that all of the guests would enjoy the food and service, but most importantly we would all be able to have a discussion in which all could participate because they could properly hear each other.
One in our party is deaf in one ear and consistently suffers the anguish of not hearing conversation in restaurants. During our meal, he could readily hear and participate. Thank you for providing a wonderful venue. I will always choose Oceanaire for this reason.

Our 26th Wedding Anniversary. Food and service were excellent! I had asked to be seated off to the side, in an intimate corner, not near the kitchen or bus stand, and we were given a table in the middle of the room, next to a huge birthday table of 20 or more....
Lauren was a very good server and all of our selections were delicious. The complimentary Baked Alaska was a fun way to end the evening.

I've been to a few Oceanaires. The quality of the scallops and trout Sunday night was very good, but much too salty (especially for Simply Prepared). Service was good, but bordered on over attentive.
Celebrated my husbands birthday here and it was a very lovely experience. The waiter was pleasant and attentive and the food and drinks were good!
the smoked salmon was terrific. The chopped seafood salad was ok. The fish was not very good.
Food was excellent as always. Husband had shrimp & grits and crab legs. I had scallops and they were fabulous. Our server Rosie was wonderful as well.
On a Tuesday night the place was achingly empty. So the upside was that staff was super attentive and a drink never went beyond half empty before being promptly refilled. That said, food was underwhelming given some of the hype; on par with other decent 3+ star restaurants that offer seafood but don’t focus on it exclusively as Oceanaire does. We had the swordfish and cobia. Not bad by any means, but was hoping for something much more special considering the price and specialization.

Excellent service starting with the hostess, our waitress was Amazing, she gave us suggestions and delivered! The food was delicious, we had the crab cakes, shrimp diablo,salmon dynamite, bread pudding and chocolate mousse. No disappointments!
Lovely experience again. Everything was almost perfect. Chef’s specialty for the Labor Day Weekend dinner menu was delicious. Service was excellent. We definitely had a wonderful evening dining here again.

Let me begin with the service which to me is just as important as the food. Our server Brian was wonderful. The restaurant was extremely busy, it was HRW so I expected service might be a little slow, but not Brian. He was friendly, had a great sense of humor and was very attentive. We asked for his food recommendations and everything he recommended was on point. My husband had the crab cake and I had the shrimp diablo for starters which were both very good, however the chicken fried lobster was magnificent. The lobster was tender and the crust was so light and crispy it practically melted in your mouth and the grits were delicious. Brian even gave me a great drink suggestion, Guava Daiquiri that was very delicious as well. This was not our first time at Oceanaire and it will certainly not be our last however, I now have a new favorite. Thanks to Brian and the chefs for a wonderful dining experience!

Our dining room waiter was not very attentive. We barely saw him & we never got any bread. We ordered the Lobster Thermidor which I wanted to try & was good. My friends tried the Houston Restaurant week menu & the surf & turf was very good. The fish of the day, sole, was a little fishy.
But when we were waiting for the rest of our party in the bar & ordered a few drinks & appetizers, our bar waitress was so nice & helpful. I wish the rest of your waiters were like her. She made you feel welcome & went over & above.
We go every year for our anniversary and we always enjoy everything. Only issue this year, we made a reservation but got a bad table. Talked to a couple who had a better table and found out it was his birthday and they weren’t married. We were celebrating our 19th anniversary. I was a little jealous that they had a better table especially since we’ve been coming every year for about seven years. He also got his personal menu presented to him and when I saw that I remembered we hadn’t received ours so I had to ask for it. But we still had a great time.
Pablo was great server. Food was delectable as usual.

Great hustle from the staff
Food was good, but our group had to wait 30 minutes to be seated even though we had a reservation. That was not acceptable.
