The food was very, very good. The decor of the room was great and felt calming. The music played was American Jazz which jarred on occasion.
The food was excellent and service was great. We celebrated our friends birthdays.
Always great and dependable; one of our favorites. The waiters and waitresses are especially good.
Fantastic service excellent recommendations from waiter, Fantastic selections on menu
We celebrated our friends’ wedding anniversary last Sunday and the service, food and ambience was impeccable. We thoroughly enjoyed the chicken fried lobster and cheesy grits! The icing on the cake was when our server brought out a baked Alaska and lit it on fire for our friends celebration. A great time!
The Chicken Fried Lobster is a must try, the Grits underneath the Lobster gives it a boost in flavor. Delish!
They never disappoints! It always meets expectations.
Another great meal at Oceanaire
The food is good. The fish and shellfish were fresh but too expensive.
Incredible food and service.
Pasta in shrimp scampi was all stuck together. My pepper crusted tuna was average at best. Crabcakes were good. Waitress serving next table kept bumping into our table because of proximity.
Always an excellent meal here
My dinner was sent back 3 times when I finally gave up. The manager was unprofessional with no desire to keep me as a client. I won’t be back.
Valerie was our waitress and she was super sweet and very professional.
Service and ambience is good..However, the meal portiins are very small for the price, and the flavors and seasonings are just average not anything special for what you pay...
Overall good restaurant even though it is in a maul. The parking was a bid tough on the Saturday night we were there but the food and service was better than we expected.
It was terrible. I traveled from the far end of the state just to be told chicken fried lobster wasn't on the menu. I left the restaurant and called a few minutes later to be told by the hostess that it was indeed on the menu. Finally, a young man who appeared to be a manager arranged for the chef/cook to prepare it. I would never return to the restaurant or reccomend it to anyone I know. It was like being on a merry go round at an amusement park.
While the food was beautifully presented, I left hungry. Not worth the high dollar for me to go home hungry after ordering a soup, an entree and a side. Entrees too small.
Octopus was a little tough. Clams Casino were OK, but have had better. Swordfish was terrific, but a small piece. Dover Sole a little bit over done. Servicer was new, had a few service hiccups, but sincere and deserves some time to get to know the place. Overall, probably better than Bonefish, but not as good as Legal Seafood.
Food and service was great. Wonderful ambiance!
Our waiter was overwhelmed due to the number of tables, so he did not follow through with some of our requests.
The food was very good. Fresh and delightful seafood dishes (there are non seafood options too). The manager who shook my martini and later deboned our fish tableside was engaging and enterntaining. Some of the other servers / hosts seemed a little out of it or just inexperienced though. It isn't cheap - don't come here for a bargain, but it you want high quality, fresh seafood you have to pay for it. I guess I just wish the service level were more in line with the food quality and the price. Overall, it was a pretty enjoyable experience.
Although I have enjoyed this restaurant in the past this experience was not so positive. The staff was professional, the order in which the food came out was strange, the halibut me and my guest ordered was butchered, the chef does not know how to cook fish. The portion sent out in one plate was a joke regarding presentation and the other plate was dry, we asked for well not over cooked. The plate presentation was lacking and the truffle mash potatoes was probably the worst I had anywhere in the world. The lobster Mac& cheese was the only consultant thing. Sorry to write a negative review but I hope this helps the restaurant ti make some improvements and understand clients do see the difference. The quality of produce was also weak along with the flavor profiles of the entire meal.
We enjoy dinning here because there aren’t many good seafood restaurants around
It is pricey but the quality is worth it.
We went to a special wine-tasting evening and had a spectacular time. The service was attentive, the food was outstanding and it was a terrific value for what we enjoyed.
While we have been dining at Oceanaire numerous times for dinner and parties, this was the first girlfriends’ luncheon to celebrate a birthday. We each ordered the two course price fixed $19 special and were amazed by the generous portions for each selection. Our delicious food, the service (kudos to our server Shane), and the ambiance were all first rate. An excellent afternoon!
Our server Kerri in Hackensack NJ was the best and very knowledgeable of the menu.
We had a most enjoyable dinner. I liked my meal more than my husband liked his.
A little pricey but a lovely date night dinner!
Staff is very nice! Food is over priced and steak was over cooked.
Service, food and environment were enjoyable. Booth seat near window was very comfortable. However, you constantly have car lights shine in your eyes due to constant traffic in mall parking lot.
Ordered swordfish from menu FOR $33.00 ! It was the tiny tinest piece of fish I ever saw. Then to boot it was dry if could barely finish it.............Pathetic. I told waiter he told manager, manager said the service size is 8oz. He offered to replace or a side. I declined both options. When the check came my $33.00 fish was on it with no discount at all!
Never ever going there again. RIP-OFF
Excellent food and service, and a fairly extensive menu. Prices are a bit high, but worth it for a special occasion.
Just very average experience overall. Not good value for the money.
I felt the food was just average in comparison to the cost.
The food as well as the service was absolutely fantastic.
We had an early dinner reservation at 6:00 PM so the restaurant was not bustling and everyone running around like crazy. Our waiter, Pedro, did an excellent job in keeping our table clean, checking on us often and making sure the dinner was going well. Plenty of staff to refill your water glass, clear the table, etc. The food tasted very different from what you would receive at a cheaper venue, however when you are paying more money you would expect more and that is what this restaurant provides. If you want to splurge and make a special memory, this restaurant can provide that memory for you.
One of the best and one of my favorite restaurants. Always great in all respects.
Great upscale seafood restaurant. The quality of the food is remarkable, but be prepared to pay top dollar for your meal. The setting was cozy, with ambient lighting, and your choice of tables or booths(some seats are in view of the TV's in the restaurant, and some don't). I am definitely going back, I would highly recommend this spot, but it would be only on special occasions for me, due to the pricing. About $125 per person roughly.
Kitchen was under staffed
Serves me right for ordering a steak at a seafood joint but if it’s on the menu you should know how to cook it. Update-they don’t. Medium rare filet was borderline well done but at least they were consistent as they did it twice. Oysters were good but then again they didn’t need to be cooked luckily. Chocolate brownie cake tasted like it was baked 3 days ago and driven cross country without sleep.
A strange blue light pervades this entire place making it seem like you’re in a night club at last call.
Check with tip came out to roughly $250 for 3 courses 2 people. If it was half that I wouldn’t go back. Everyone in here should get a T-shirt saying “I’m only here because I couldn’t get a reservation at Houston’s”.
