Our server was awesome! The food was delicious. Everyone left happy!
Best Service we have experienced in a very long time. Seth was our server, Michael was his assistant, and numerous other staff helped to make our 30th anniversary experience awesome! We had a show to see and they made sure to provide the service according to our time table. The Calamari, and Crab Cake were made to perfection. The different enhancements to the fish were delightful. We will most definitely revisit...BRAVO!
My favorite place to go when attending a performance. This visit fell a bit short. The service was lacking from what I'm used to receiving.
We enjoyed this delicious meal with wonderful wait staff before our show at the Performing Arts Center. Will be returning for the next event!
The halibut was fabulous and the service just perfect, very enjoyable dinning experience!
This meal was below the normal excellent meal# we’ve had here. Our server was good, but had too many tables.
We are regulars here before going to theatre. The last 2 times we have been then have been less than great. The food is consistent and good. The service, however, the last 2 times has been soooo very slow and we can’t find a reason. This last time we started in the bar to get a couple drinks before going into the dining area. There was one server taking care of a very busy area. He could hardly handle it. We finally had to ask him to bring the drinks into the dining room so we could get started on our meal so we wouldn’t be late for the theatre.
We will have to think twice about coming back when we are on a time crunch.
This was our first time at Oceanaire and we were very impressed! The staff was attentive and the seafood was delicious. We will definitely be back!
Excellent food , warm, accommodating. delicious & interesting yet unique twist to seafoods
One word. FABULOUS!
Service excellent (Scott). Food excellent. Steak perfect. Seafood outrageous. Drinks YUM. An over the top dinner.
I’m reviewing strictly in terms of value. The quality of ingredients did not justify the cost of our meal.
We perused a lot of menus before choosing this restaurant and it did not disappoint. We had the simply prepared European fish and a Asian style halibut. Both were perfectly cooked. The grilled asparagus we ordered was char grilled and extremely tasty. Excellent service and nice ambiance.
Food was very good and perfectly cooked. Service was good also.
Seafood Chowder was delicious. Filet had a huge piece of gristle in the center of it. Grilled shrimp were quite good. Lobster Thermidor was average. Every entree a la carte so we ordered the Peas with black garlic salt - which were nice and tender. Prices far too high not to offer sides with each of the entrees. Won't be returning.... even though our waiter, Seth, was top-notch.
Something’s wrong in this kitchen. Fish dishes have turned bland and uninspired. Salads are thrown together; ingredients like purple onions overpower the greens which are wilted and tasteless. Service was good, but at these prices, there’s no excuse for food that seems to aspire to mediocre. This used to be a good restaurant, but in the last couple of months, the chef seems to have given up.
Outstanding service snd wonderful seafood.
the food was just ok. service was good. Food was much better last time we were there (last year). I had the crab cakes. The dish was ok, but no better than anywhere else. My husband had the chicken fried lobster. Not a good dish. Breading was so thick it overwhelmed the lobster.
Our server, Jim, was excellent
Alan was a great waiter! So patient with us and willing to go the extra mile. Thank you!
The best seafood I've had in Denver. The restaurant looks much more hip in person than it does on their website. Staff was knowledgable, and we took their recommendation and loved it.
The selection is impressive, the quality is also. We were able to be seated early, the hostess and server were engaged and eager to help. The wait was very short to be seated and also for the food to be served.
We had a wonderful evening at Oceanaire, great service, beautiful restaurant. Food was a little rich but delicious. We will go there again.
Excellent lobster thermidor! Combined with great service made for a memorable dining experience.
I've dined at several Oceanaire restaurants on the east coast; this one was good, but not what I've come to expect. Cocktails were slow coming and not well presented; fish was well prepared but the steak was lacking - and the wait staff began clearing appetizers before we were finished. Overall a good but not great experience.
Slow service as there were lots of people having a meal before their theater event. Otherwise a very nice experience.
I havent been to the Oceanaire for over a year, so it was a treat to go again before our show. The ambience and service were perfect, and we received helpful guidance on what to order from our waiter. The cocktails were creative, tasty and generous. I got the Aviator-yum yum. We split the crabcake for a starter, and it was one if the best I've ever had. The halibut shrimp Louis was melt in your mouth excellent, as was my niece's chicken fried lobster. We got the parmesan truffle fries for a side, although most of those went home with my niece because it was a huge portion. We split creme brulee. it was a very long and lovely visit.
The dinner was excellent and the service by Waiter James was superb.
we like the Oceanaire because it is just a block away from the theatre district in Denver.
In addition they have a very good menu. I’m very fond of oysters and they have a good selection - always fresh. The restaurant is crowded at 5pm as those attending the theatre book early reservations, but it clears out by 7 when that group leaves. We go there whenever we’re in Denver.
Very expensive. Probably only a 4 oz wine pour for $12, at least make it 6 or better yet 8 oz.
Crusted lobster was too salty, but waiter didn’t offer any solution other than walk away.
Dessert took forever to be served, like it was being made from scratch, the creme brûlée had too thick of of crust and tasted very much like liquor, which it wasn’t described as having, did not finish.
The filet was good and cooked correctly.
I love this place! It has never let me down.
Admittedly, we love Oceanaire - because the food is delicious and the service is excellent.
We felt the the overall experience fell short of the cost for our dinner. The food was tasty but the presentation simple. The time we were there was between a matinee and evening show at a nearby theater and the restaurant was very busy. The servers were under pressure to meet the timeline for those attending the evening show.
My mom and I had dinner before the theater and they helped us manage the time- great service and great food.
Great food, great service, 4 time here. Always Great!
Always a great experience, service is the hallmark of the Oceanaire one can always expect a great dining experience
Excellent food; fun experience and will return for another delightful meal.
Classic and classy. I felt like I was back in the 1950s and a much kinder US! I had a wonderful birthday celebrating at Oceanaire. Thank you!
Always good food and good service. Plan to spend around $150 for two.
