Once again a very special meal on our way to the theater and both were wonderful. Even if you want a light meal, the servers and kitchen make sure that everything is exactly right. And if you are also a Landry's club member the extra rewards are just a bonus.

Romantic Valentines dinner - was lovely. Food was excellent and service impeccable. Prices are on the high end, so be aware. Attire is casual to dressy so they are flexible.

It was Valentine’s Day and very busy. The wait staff did a good job of managing a backed up kitchen and bar, but there was only so much they could do. Food was as wonderful as always and we will definitely be back.

Waiter Zach was great and paired our appetizer and entrees with the perfect glasses of wine. We had a bit of trouble receiving one of our sides but Zach was apologetic and comped it for us when it finally arrived (while we were finishing our dinner!).

The appetizer (crab cake) was excellent as were our entrees.

Overall, a good experience.

We have been to Oceanaire before and had a great experience. We went on Valentines Day, and it was bad. They were unprepared to handle the volume of diners. Avoid them at times of high demand and go when they have more time. We had to wait over 15 min to be seated, even with a reservation, waited a half hour for the appetizer, and 45 min for the entre. My wife's meal was okay, mine was barely room temperature. Nothing like what we have seen there before.

Crab was way over priced...felt like $65 was way too much for the amount of crab that was on my plate.

Other than it being a bit cold next to the window, and every time someone came in the door, everything else was wonderful. Don’t sit at the table by the coat room.

Elegant setting, elegant professional service and wonderful food. This restaurant exudes class, and it's not superficial. It truly reminds us of the finer European places we've enjoyed. Other places also have very fresh fish, but Oceanaire's preparation, seasoning and plating has been outstanding for the four years we've dined there. This is a compilation of two visits that were about two weeks apart...we had to go back when they advertised the arrival on the menu of John Dory, a fine, firm white fish. It was excellent, but so were the Branzino and the Idaho Red Trout we chose on the first visit. One little note: When you order the chef's preparation, it comes with very good and reasonably sized starch and vegetable sides; but when you order the grilled or other versions, there are no sides. That forces you to order a-la-carte sides, which come in large family-size quantities and creates an imbalance. The excellent marinated baked mushrooms were enough for two of us, plus a large take-home remainder. The prices are not cheap, but the food quality and the whole experience make them reasonable. They have a commendable high-end wine list, but one can find some excellent reasonably priced bottles.

Service is great, however our meals were not. I had the swordfish. Very salty, over cooked and not fresh. My wife had the mixed seafood plate, again incredibly salty.

Great location since we were going to the Theatre that evening. we had plenty of time but staff was aware of us departing around 7;15 so they made this happen. Good was great and ambience was excellent... Everything was ala carte which is a pet peve, but seems to be constant in all high end restaurants. However, they did provide bread and vegies as complimentary. Staff was great.

We had a great relaxing dinner, good service, very attentive. Had the shrimp/grits, seafood mixed grill, sea bass and baked Alaska for dessert. The dessert was huge! Brought home leftovers. For a Saturday night, it was not very busy.

The last couple of times we've eaten here have not been "wow" experiences. We were seated by the kitchen entrance which was distracting and very loud. The service gets worse every time we go. We ordered a salad to share between 4 people that came in a large bowl with no serving spoon. In the past this salad was dished up by the server, not this time until we asked for a serving spoon.
They don't seem to have enough staff; the manager spent a large portion of his evening serving meals.
We waited a full half hour for someone (anyone!) to take our credit card so we could leave. The best part of the evening was talking to the valet, he was funny and very concerned about taking care of his customers.
Food is good, but we were disappointed that the menu has changed significantly. You can get the same quality of food for a much lower price at Max Gill and Grill. I will say that The Oceanaire has some of the best martinis in town.

My husband and I are frequent visitors to The Oceanaire. We find new varieties of oysters on every visit and the seafood is very fresh (yes, fresh seafood in Denver). The staff is over the top awesome for special occasions.

Our server was not the best and dropped the ball on several areas, lucky for him, his assistant, Havynn, was OUTSTANDING! She was curtious, thoughtful, prompt, knowledgeable, accommodating, and more. She should definitely be promoted to server. Restaurant lacking in private dining areas and atmosphere too open and weak design. We were disappointed in tenderness of fish and fish options on menu. Menu hard to order from and confusing. Not a good value, especially the oysters!
