    This is a very comfortable place to have a business lunch/dinner or, as was the case for my lunch yesterday, getting together with friends. Service is friendly and excellent, food is always good, and reasonably priced. It’s near a metro station and parking so very convenient. Not so many good places to have lunch in DC. This is definitely one of them.

    Everything was spectacular! Waiter recommended Halibut and it was off the charts! Sea Bass was wonderfully delicate!

    Went here for dinner with two out of town visitors. We had an early reservation and the restaurant was mostly empty, but they seated us in a tight booth adjacent to a large 8 or 10 person party at a round table even though the entire wall of booths there was open. Why???We had the tuna trio special as an app (seared, poke, and maki), which was good. The in-house wasabi was terrific! Then we moved to chopped salad and a cup of clam chowder. The salad was dressed with a vinaigrette instead of a cream dressing. Good, but portion was small for price. The clam chowder came in a small bowl half full. Again, not worth the price. We had the tuna special, sirloin, and scallops, with truffle mashed potatoes and garlic green beans for the table. The tuna was good, although the center was too room temp. It was seared so should have been cool in the center. The steak was done well and had little fat. The five seared scallops came with lump crab and butter as the sauce. The crab was sweet and delicious but the butter sauce was a little salty and the scallops overdone for “seared.” They were cooked through and maybe for 30 secs too long. For $55 this dish was not worth it. The potatoes had a decent flavor but had been over whipped and were a little gluey. Portion size not outstanding. The garlic green beans weren’t particularly garlicky, and although they were sautéed well and had good tooth, some of them still had *stems* on them. A good portion size though. The greatest thing was the bowl of crudite that came with the bread—cucumber slices, celery, carrot sticks, black olives, radishes, and pepperoni peppers—fresh and delicious! The service was fast and friendly, and our glasses were refilled regularly. The greatest bargain was the $13 glasses of wine. Overall, it was a fine dinner but very overpriced. Seafood is never cheap, there was nothing *special* to account for the extremely high prices. I don’t feel I need to return unless it’s for a fancy baked Alaska experience.

    The food here is always excellent. Service top tier. I didn’t like how my waiter presented an appetizer as a special, but it was an outrageously expensive a la carte plate he put together. $15 for one small scallop, $5 for ONE shrimp, $9 for a piece of a lobster. The crab cake was worth the price. Other than that misunderstanding everything was great. I probably would’ve still gotten it, I don’t like how it was presented as a special and it wasn’t.

    My husband and I had a great time at Oceanaire. The Wagyu beef was excellent! Our server was great. She made sure that all of our food was perfect.
