The food was just ok, and not what I would have expected from the price point. Service was good, not great. I've eaten at your restaurant more than a dozen times, and this was the first time I was disappointed
Carlos, waiter was excellent with great recommendation. Friend had the full size shrimp scampi; I had the barrimundi... loved the flavor, however smaller portion.
Food and ambiance was wonderful. Server and service were awesome!
My fiancée and I were very pleased with the quality of the food and the overall feel of the restaurant. Unfortunately our server “Carlos” was extremely aggressive in the beginning and also spoke to us as if we were unable to afford eat here. As the night continued, the server became almost non existent. He definitely went from one extreme to the other. The manager “Chris” was came out to our table to introduce himself and to make himself available if we needed anything, which was a true pleasure. Despite the server, we will definitely return. The food and drinks are top notch!!
Went during restaurant well for my wife birthday. She loved her food but I didn't enjoy mine. Service felt rushed even though place was empty.
Excellent service from our server, Minor, and Andrew who stopped by our table to check in on our dining experience. We’ll definitely be dining there again.
Calamari was filled with fried peppers and minimal calamari. Lobster bisque was bland. Drinks were good and dessert was great.
Excellent seafood and wonderful selection
Great service, good seafood, and server had outstanding wine recommendations. Went here for restaurant week and the menu options were good.
I usually love Oceanaire Seafood Room and have dined as recently as Christmas. As a frequent patron I couldn’t help but note the difference in service on a regular day vs. restaurant week. The staffing was hasty which changed the entire experience. Everything felt rushed. Also, they ran out of cheesecake. I am truly disappointed. Although, I will likely dine at this establishment again, it will never be during any promotion.
Great for a nice date night! And restaurant week made it well worth it!
Very good and service was excellent
Went during restaurant week and was not disappointed!
My sister and I went for restaurant week and we truly enjoyed
Wonderful experience! They made my fiancé feel extra special on her birthday. Baked Alaska was to die for!
Took advantage of Restaurant Week, which made the price more bearable. Food and service was outstanding.
Our waiter was extremely nice and the food tasted so good. I loved the lobster bisque and shrimp scampi. I will definitely return.
Love this place !
A great value for a great meal during restaurant week.
A friend and I went to lunch during the restaurant week, hoping to have something delicious like other restaurants, but unfortunately, nothing was good. The lobster bisque was regular and the fish tacos were completely cold and tasteless. We asked the waiter to warm them up because a cold tortilla doesn't taste good, right? Then they replaced the tacos but they weren't even a little warm. Very disappointing.
Underwhelming. It was restaurant week and at no time did the sev
Took my boyfriend here for his birthday, the food was great, the staff was polite and worked hard. I have no complaints about this restaurant. Our cups were filled whenever we needed and we were brought more bread as soon as we finished our first.
Great food, nice atmosphere (could be a tad brighter in some spots) and would return! Restaurant week is the perfect introduction
The waitress that I had wasn't attentive. She acted as if she didn't wa
We took my 13 year old here as a celebration.
Good food. Good service. Good times.
The scallops and the steak were fabulous! The crab cakes were delicious and surprisingly the mashed potatoes were very very good. We will return. It’s pricey but no worse than similar places in that section of DC.
I love everything about Oceanaire. The food and service are outstanding! Perfect place for an exceptional lunch and/or dinner. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Food was delicious! We had swordfish, fruits of the sea, and lobster entrees. All were exceptionally prepared. Sides of hash browns and asparagus were very good. Baked Alaska was excellent. Service and hospitality were excellent as well. Also drink service was very good, especially the espresso martini.
Great service from staff!!! Also the bread was yum! They had some great small touches that made my husband’s bday special. I definitely appreciated it!
Hands down the best service I have ever received in my life along with the best seafood I’ve ever had.
New Year Eve
I dined with Oceanaire for NYE and the quality of the food wasn't up to par. I started with the oysters rock, which was the highlight of the night. For my main, I ordered the 6oz filet (angry), with the Brussels sprouts and the lobster mac and cheese. The items were luke warm with little flavor, and for the most part unmemorable. My date had the crab cakes, and those were tasty with no filler as expected. I've dined with this chain before and everything was delicious. I'd chalk it up to being a busy night. The service was pretty straight forward - nothing to remark about there as well. I don't think i'll be returning. There are other seafood/steakhouses in the near by vicinity that deliver every time.
Way overpriced for mediocre seafood, everything a la carte. Server was rude and pushy
For the price, I expected a little more attentiveness from our waitress. Also, “appropriate dress” does not include men wearing their washed out jeans below the buttocks! Won’t be returning to this location.
The food was good but a little too pricy. I got the crab cake and calamari appetizer, one of my friends got the salmon with the truffle mashed potatoes and another friend got the veal with potatoes. We each got a cocktail.
Overall nice experience. Portion sizes we way too large for fine dining. Food was good but could have been better for the price. Signature cocktails were delicious.
The food was excellent but we were seated at the darkest table in the restaurant. The service was impeccable. But it was way more expensive than the value was worth
Oceanaire is one of the most under-rated downtown restaurants. Their staff is world-class and able to handle any situation. I love this place.
This is one of our favorite restaurants to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, or just a date night. Pleasant and efficient staff, excellent food, and beautiful ambiance.
