Oceanaire is very solid on their fish offerings. No complaints there. Arctic char, flounder, swordfish, salmon, & halibut all good. Oysters are pricey at $4 per and some oysters were ridiculously small. Shrimp cocktail with nice sized shrimp though. Caesar salad good. Mac & Cheese with lobster unremarkable and over-priced @ $22. Shishito peppers solid, albeit a bit oily. Asparagus solid as well. Good wine list with reasonable overall prices for a restaurant. No sommelier for consultation and waitstaff with minimal knowledge of wines. Waitstaff otherwise friendly & efficient despite a busy Saturday evening. Baked Alaska very good and probably the "go to" dessert. Creme brulee mediocre, not much flavor. Noisy with some difficulty conversing with table mates as a result. Overall, one of the better seafood restaurants in Dallas IMHO.
Unfortunately over the last 20 years the quality of the food at Oceanaire has diminished while the prices have skyrocketed Too bad We went to get the fabulous crab cakes but they are now filled with bread like substance and filler, the shrimp cocktail was $21 but was only about a 5 or 6 on the quality scale Waiter was only friendly when it came time to get his tip and the bill Not likely to return unless we hear it has improved back to old times
Mostly good, but served Dover sole without table side preparation although the spoons were placed next to the fish.
Just a celebration of life with the family that was, as always, a fantastic dinner at Oceanaire. The food is always delicious, the wait staff extraordinary and they always make us feel so special with the attention they provide. One of our favorite restaurants in Dallas!
The food was delicious but we had fruit flies all night in our booth. I had a long hair on my napkin when I sat down. Waiter was a little weak in service, but again, the food was delicious.
From beginning to end everything was great. Good food and good service. Look forward to returning!
A weekly business spot for me, love the valet guys and the fresh seafood here. Unfortunately the heating system was down/off as it was probably only 60 degrees inside (better than the 25 outside I suppose).
I thought the food overall was good, but not extraordinary. I had scallops salted so heavily it was difficult to taste them. However, the selection of fresh oysters is amazing and the handcrafted cocktails were wonderful. I will probably eat there again when I’m at the Westin.
Food was good but not as good as in the past. Service was terrible.
Always a great experience. Our server was a lot of fun and the food was excellent.
