We’ve had dinner before with excellent service and personalized attention so our expectations were high. Unfortunately, even though we had reservation, they made us wait for 40+ minutes at the bar which was crowded. We were not the only ones not happy about this. Manager explained they have no control over how long people take but the overall attitude about it and poor management of reservations was disappointing. Once seated, food and service was excellent.
Made a reservation but had to wait an hour to be seated.smh
Could not find our reservation at first. Almost turned us away. It was a friend’s 50th birthday. Service was slow, glasses not refilled, and food was under or over cooked. Beautiful space, but perhaps when overbooked better for just drinks.
Food was great but service was terrible. We were seated about an hour after our reservation. My elderly father in law had no where to sit and wait. We had to ask for drink refills multiple times. We did not get to place our entree order until after we were finished with our appetizers and then sat for another 30min with empty drinks. Food was great but for the price I expect decent service.
reservation time was meaningless. had to wait 50 minutes past time.
We weren’t told Nate wasn’t working service was terrible for the 1st time. Drinks were wrong one dinner wrong and never got our left over dessert to go back. Appetizer was wrong as well. Won’t eat there again unless Nate is working. Spent a whole lot didn’t get much
Our waiter was fantastic. He was informative and fun but did not want to be our friend and join us. His wine suggestions were great. The food was great. It is quieter upstairs.
It was my birthday so my husband and myself wanted to go somewhere nice. The hostess greeted us and he was very friendly our waiter was also friendly. The food was good. My Husband felt the portion size was small for the price, but it was good. We will dine here again.
The staff members were friendly and responsive, especially the waitress. She was very knowledgeable and made sure we were comfortable and happy.
Cocktails were very good. Crab cakes very good. My mahi mahi must have been deep fried instead of pan seared, as the oils took away any flavor that should have been present. I could taste the oils. The deep fried lobster with cheese grits were good. Service was very good. The prices were very high for the quality and complexity of the dishes. There are just too many better options in the MetroPlex to have a disappointing dish. Unfortunately, later we both felt ill. It may or may not have been the food there.
Good food. Parking Valet is $10
Overall food was good. However the service from our waiter was the worst we’ve ever had at Oceanaire. He admittedly told us he was new, however we were expecting at a minimum for him to be more attentive. When he did pay attention to us, we felt rushed and he seemed frustrated when we asked questions about the menu. He definitely was not sure what to recommend. Too bad it was the worst service on my wife’s birthday dinner.
One of our special places to go. Anniversary celebration was great!!
A get-together with family. As always, service was very attentive. Our server (Thomas) spoke directly to our 13-year old son, which I really appreciate. Our seafood and steaks were all prepared as ordered, and my swordfish was just perfect. We will be back!
While this was not my first visit to Oceanaire, it never ceases to amaze me! So many choices of excellent, super fresh seafood and great steaks, this place is hard to beat. I had the crab cake to start, I then wanted another. My main course of Halibut was delicious and my server ws a true pro!
To make things even better, it is part of the Landry's Rewards Program and they are VERY generous.
Try it, you won't be disappointed!
