It was great! Food was amazing. Will go back😊
Twenty stars everything was excellent!!!! The waiter was awesome
Excellent food, service, and atmosphere.
Food was delicious. Clearly, they were short staffed as the bar tender had to wait on us and he was stretched too thin.
Very nice place that I wanted to go to for a long time. For the price, the service was a little lacking, but OK in the end. The food was also very good. Not knock your socks off, but fit the bill.
It never ceases to amaze me what new and amazing ways Oceanaire can screw up a meal. I have been coming here over 10 years now and every time I leave shocked at the incompetence. The portions just keep getting smaller, they can never serve a complete meal in a timely manner, sides arrive 20 minutes after the mains. The only reason to return is the Key Lime Pie....and now that i have the recipe, even that will not induce me to return.
The food was amazing, I had the Lobster Cakes, Alaskan King Crab Legs, Lobster Mac and Cheese, with the Bread Pudding. Our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable about the food, and overall I had a memorable and great experience. I will frequent this restaurant often.
Incredible experience! Delicious food and great service.
Amazing redfish with risotto!! Our server Shad was outstanding and other staff was excellent as well. The food was wonderfully prepared and great presentation. A very nice evening!
Great food and service!
Celebrated our 22nd anniversary with my wife. She loves Halibut, I had the filet mignon with grilled shrimp. Both were excellent! We had awesome service. I definitely recommend it for a classy night out!
CLEAN AND CRISP,RELAXED AND FRIENDLY,AND COMFORTABLE YET SLIGHTLY UPSCALE UPON ENTERING.FOOD WAS DELICIOUS BUT A LITTLE SLOW IN ARRIVING.OUR WAITER WAS EXCELLENT.VERY PROFESSIONAL AND EFFICIENT WITH A NATURAL FRIENDLINESS THAT WAS REFRESHING.HE WAS INFORMATIVE AND MOST HELPFUL.WE FOUND HIS RECOMMENDATIONS SPOT-ON.HIS SERVICE WAS IMPECCABLE WITHOUT BEING OVERBEARING.HE OFFERED US A FREE DESSERT WHEN HE BECAME AWARE IT WAS OUR ANNIVERSARY OF 24 YEARS TOGETHER.IT WAS DONE IN WAY THAT FELT NATURAL AND NOTE DONE BY POLICY ,NO MATTER THE CASE.MANAGER CAME BY TO CHECK ON OUR MEAL AND OUR EVENING.I complimented our waiter but I can't remember if i mentioned his name and don't recall it now.Manager seemed proud of the server's expertise which is always a good sign for a restaurant;a memorable evening!
Staff was very friendly from the moment you walk in the door. Food was very fresh and wonderfully prepared. Atmosphere was very nice as well. Will definitely go again to try other selections. The suggestion by our server to try the blueberry bread pudding for dessert was over the top!
They made my son feel super special on his birthday. That is why he picked this restaraunt and our family is always happy to eat here.
Wait staff was helpful and super courteous.
Such a wonderful place with A+++ service!! I always enjoy coming to this place as the food is always amazing!
Every thing with the restaurant was good but the valet lost my keys and it was about 2 hours after we paid our bill before I got home. This was after I took Lyft back to my house to get my spare keys. They found mine the next day but they don't know how they were returned as they just showed up in the key case with no tag on them. A downer to end an otherwise pleasant evening.
It's HALIBUT season again, and that means black & bleu at Oceanaire! Add a wedge salad, crab cake and hash browns = yummy. Perfect with the Flowers pinot noir we ordered. Thanks Oceanaire for another great meal!
Lunch at the Oceanaire was fabulous as always! However, this last lunch was extra special as the staff went out of their way for my boss’s birthday with the personalized menus and card. He loved every second of it. Thank you for such a wonderful dining experience!
If you live in or are visiting Dallas, The Oceanaire is the best restaurant for fresh seafood in the metro plex. The restaurant alters its menu daily based on seafood availability. The food is top quality, the wine menu is solid, and the service is friendly.
The food was not good. The octopus appetizer had a terrible smell and we couldn't even eat it. Small, tasteless shrimp cocktail. Decent eggs Benedict. Small, overpriced steamed crab. We have eaten there many times in the past, but will never go back. Very disappointing.
The Oceanaire has certainly changed since becoming part of the Landry’s group of restaurants. The portions are considerably smaller and the prices are the same if not higher. The kitchen was painfully slow on Sunday. Don’t know if this was because of the menu being more “brunch” oriented. Two orders of crab cakes and a piece of pan roasted halibut shouldn’t take 45 minutes to get to the table.
Our server was very good and bought dessert due to the lag time, even though a slow kitchen was at fault.
I took my husband out for a fabulous retirement dinner - it was a terrific evening!
Thomas provided exceptional service and the food was prepared perfectly.
Appetizer was great. Meal was average and over priced for taste. Had Texas redfish. Lobster Mac and cheese was disappointing. Service was really good.
Excellent food and service. Not cheap but you will not be disappointed with the value. We go there a couple of times a year and it’s akeays wonderful
This is such a classy, elegant and friendly place.
And they really do a super job of making you feel special if you are celebrating a milestone.
We will definitely keep coming back, and it will continue to be one of our favorites.
Halibut special was awful - dry and overcooked badly. All else good.
Good ingredients that were very well prepared. Good service. The chicken fried lobster is a stellar texas treat.
Great food, wonderful service. However, get very loud when sitting on the lower level..
First time and was impressed. Quiet. Got a nice booth upstairs. The waitress Katlyn was very nice and the service was very good. Crabcake was delicate and sweet. Salmon with grits was very tasty and filling.
Food was good but overpriced. Small portions. Host staff was RUDE to other people, he actually “shoooed” them away and talked down to them. If I hadn’t been there for a business meeting I would have informed the manager and left.
Went for mother-in-law birthday, seated very quickly, servers were prompt friendly and knowledgeable. Food was good and menu questions were answered quickly.Would go there again.
The food was perfectly cooked and delicious and the service was fantastic. We will be going back! We sent our compliments to the chef and our servers last name was Twist and we will request him again as he was wonderful.
Food was wonderful...as always! Service was absolutely awful! We waited 35 minutes to get our check. Flagged down an assistant server to request our check. Table beside us got up and left because of the slow service. This review is for this particular visit...we eat here often. Normally the service is great and the food is always excellent.
We went there for a birthday celebration and was very disappointed. The service was adequate at best. There was a long delay in being served our meal and the food was not even hot. The portions were small and not very good. I would not recommend this establishment in the near future.
Pricey for a quick lunch while shopping. Great food and service. Large menu.
Went to restaurant March 5 for my husbands birthday
Ordered the stuffed flounder but they ran out
Wanted carrot cake but they ran out
Promised a free birthday dessert but they charged and the corrected it
Needed to ask for refills of tea many times.
The food was excellent, the salad dressing was meager.
For this level of restaurant and price, the items I mentioned should not occur.
I will think twice before recommending this restaurant or going again
The fruit crisp had almost no fruit in it! It was great if you are looking for sugar and cinnamon.
The food at Oceanaire is what keeps me coming back. They offer simply prepared seafood options, plus a range of more creative chef's specials--on this occasion I had grilled halibut, my guest had the special ahi tuna, and both were exceptional. The ambiance is so-so--it's a big room not really great for families or for an intimate dinner--but still very pleasant, and the service was excellent. The wine list isn't huge but offers a good range of options.
