Great food, wonderful service. However, get very loud when sitting on the lower level..
First time and was impressed. Quiet. Got a nice booth upstairs. The waitress Katlyn was very nice and the service was very good. Crabcake was delicate and sweet. Salmon with grits was very tasty and filling.
Food was good but overpriced. Small portions. Host staff was RUDE to other people, he actually “shoooed” them away and talked down to them. If I hadn’t been there for a business meeting I would have informed the manager and left.
Went for mother-in-law birthday, seated very quickly, servers were prompt friendly and knowledgeable. Food was good and menu questions were answered quickly.Would go there again.
The food was perfectly cooked and delicious and the service was fantastic. We will be going back! We sent our compliments to the chef and our servers last name was Twist and we will request him again as he was wonderful.
Food was wonderful...as always! Service was absolutely awful! We waited 35 minutes to get our check. Flagged down an assistant server to request our check. Table beside us got up and left because of the slow service. This review is for this particular visit...we eat here often. Normally the service is great and the food is always excellent.
We went there for a birthday celebration and was very disappointed. The service was adequate at best. There was a long delay in being served our meal and the food was not even hot. The portions were small and not very good. I would not recommend this establishment in the near future.
Pricey for a quick lunch while shopping. Great food and service. Large menu.
Went to restaurant March 5 for my husbands birthday
Ordered the stuffed flounder but they ran out
Wanted carrot cake but they ran out
Promised a free birthday dessert but they charged and the corrected it
Needed to ask for refills of tea many times.
The food was excellent, the salad dressing was meager.
For this level of restaurant and price, the items I mentioned should not occur.
I will think twice before recommending this restaurant or going again
The fruit crisp had almost no fruit in it! It was great if you are looking for sugar and cinnamon.
Excellent service from Server Jerard to everyone who assisted him. The food was exceptional.
The food at Oceanaire is what keeps me coming back. They offer simply prepared seafood options, plus a range of more creative chef's specials--on this occasion I had grilled halibut, my guest had the special ahi tuna, and both were exceptional. The ambiance is so-so--it's a big room not really great for families or for an intimate dinner--but still very pleasant, and the service was excellent. The wine list isn't huge but offers a good range of options.
Went on a Friday evening. Had reservations at 7:30, but we arrived a little early and were seated at 7:15. We had crab cakes, salmon, shrimp, and tuna....absolutely delicious. Pricey but worth it !! Can’t wait to go back !
Make reservations during weekends. This Saturday was crazy busy. Food is awesome but I did not get the attention I expected from the waiter. Whole fish is a MUST
High prices for pretty average seafood. Nice, but not remarkable.
Service was GREAT. Loved our waiter. He gave his recommendations and made us feel very welcome. Loved the food. Got fried chicken lobster, hashbrowns, calamari, and florentine, and everything besides the hashbrowns tasted SO GOOD. Would love to come again.
The food and service are great! We love eating here!
Waiter not very knowledgable about Wine menu and Vintages on menu had not been updated in a while. Would suggest a gluten free option on desert menu. Besides that all else was great
We’ve had dinner before with excellent service and personalized attention so our expectations were high. Unfortunately, even though we had reservation, they made us wait for 40+ minutes at the bar which was crowded. We were not the only ones not happy about this. Manager explained they have no control over how long people take but the overall attitude about it and poor management of reservations was disappointing. Once seated, food and service was excellent.
Made a reservation but had to wait an hour to be seated.smh
Could not find our reservation at first. Almost turned us away. It was a friend’s 50th birthday. Service was slow, glasses not refilled, and food was under or over cooked. Beautiful space, but perhaps when overbooked better for just drinks.
Food was great but service was terrible. We were seated about an hour after our reservation. My elderly father in law had no where to sit and wait. We had to ask for drink refills multiple times. We did not get to place our entree order until after we were finished with our appetizers and then sat for another 30min with empty drinks. Food was great but for the price I expect decent service.
reservation time was meaningless. had to wait 50 minutes past time.
We weren’t told Nate wasn’t working service was terrible for the 1st time. Drinks were wrong one dinner wrong and never got our left over dessert to go back. Appetizer was wrong as well. Won’t eat there again unless Nate is working. Spent a whole lot didn’t get much
Our waiter was fantastic. He was informative and fun but did not want to be our friend and join us. His wine suggestions were great. The food was great. It is quieter upstairs.
It was my birthday so my husband and myself wanted to go somewhere nice. The hostess greeted us and he was very friendly our waiter was also friendly. The food was good. My Husband felt the portion size was small for the price, but it was good. We will dine here again.
The staff members were friendly and responsive, especially the waitress. She was very knowledgeable and made sure we were comfortable and happy.
Cocktails were very good. Crab cakes very good. My mahi mahi must have been deep fried instead of pan seared, as the oils took away any flavor that should have been present. I could taste the oils. The deep fried lobster with cheese grits were good. Service was very good. The prices were very high for the quality and complexity of the dishes. There are just too many better options in the MetroPlex to have a disappointing dish. Unfortunately, later we both felt ill. It may or may not have been the food there.
Good food. Parking Valet is $10
Overall food was good. However the service from our waiter was the worst we’ve ever had at Oceanaire. He admittedly told us he was new, however we were expecting at a minimum for him to be more attentive. When he did pay attention to us, we felt rushed and he seemed frustrated when we asked questions about the menu. He definitely was not sure what to recommend. Too bad it was the worst service on my wife’s birthday dinner.
One of our special places to go. Anniversary celebration was great!!
A get-together with family. As always, service was very attentive. Our server (Thomas) spoke directly to our 13-year old son, which I really appreciate. Our seafood and steaks were all prepared as ordered, and my swordfish was just perfect. We will be back!
While this was not my first visit to Oceanaire, it never ceases to amaze me! So many choices of excellent, super fresh seafood and great steaks, this place is hard to beat. I had the crab cake to start, I then wanted another. My main course of Halibut was delicious and my server ws a true pro!
To make things even better, it is part of the Landry's Rewards Program and they are VERY generous.
Try it, you won't be disappointed!
Excellent food, Great Service! Convenient location, wonderful atmosphere. Great place for Special Occasions and Date Night! Highly recommended!
Despite the reservation, we still had a long wait due to Valentine’s Day, but the food and service were exceptional.
Our server had to be reminded to bring us bread, silverware, plates on more than one occasion. It was not the level of service you look for in a nice restaurant on Valentine’s Day. Entrees were subpar, one was refired but came back after my family had finished eating and initially left on the bill. We will not be back, there are to many choices in Dallas to go and have mediocre, lackadaisical service and food with those prices.
We were celebrating a friend's birthday and her menu had "Happy Birthday" at the top. Such a small thing, but it was a really nice touch. I've never been to a restaurant that had special birthday menus. It made the whole table happy, not just the birthday girl.
