Oceanaire Seafood Room - Dallas

We had a member of our group that was severely allergic and the chef prepared a special vegetarian dish. We greatly appreciated this special effort. Definitely worth coming back!

What an amazing dining experience! Everything was spot on to celebrate my son’s birthday. The food was delicious! The service, by Phillip, was impeccable & flawless! Morgan, the manager, was kind & accommodating! Couldn’t possibly say enough positive things to convey how much we enjoyed our visit!

Our waiter was great. He provided helpful feedback and recommendations. There was not many options for seafood as I would have liked. My redfish was good but my husband’s halibut was very delicious.

This has always been one of "our" restaurants! For years we have eaten here, however, unless things change we won't be returning. Saturday evening after ordering and waiting over 30 minutes we were told they were out of one of the entrees. Seemed to go downhill from there. The red snapper was extremely fishy and service lacked. Lovely restaurant and have always received excellent food and service. Hoping it was just an off night.

As often as we can when visiting Dallas, we try to dine at Oceanaire Seafood Room. Our favorite place to sit is at the bar. Tim, the bartender, is so nice, always available to help or answer any questions. Love that he helps me choose which oysters to try each time I am there.

Wonderful place to have a scrumptious dinner!

Dining is mainly about the experience, though the food must be excellent as well. We were greeted by the staff upon arrival and immediate were seated in a very comfortable booth, where the atmosphere was well lit and comfortable. Our waiter could not have been more responsive and respectful. The free appetizer plate of vegetables was fresh and delicious. The menu is simple and easy to read with many great choices of seafood or beef. I enjoyed the Haddock very much and my wife, who is a very finicky eater chose the bone in Ribeye - which came out Fantastic! We finished off our anniversary dinner with a lovely generous slice of Key Lime pie - the "Real" Key Lime not the green fake kind. Yum Yum. I would recommend this as a special occasion fine dining experience. Enjoy!

Impressed by excellent service. Our server Ana let me order an item not on the menu, a fried shrimp platter and I was very pleased by her attention and flexibility

we have not been to oceanaire in two years and it was as great as ever. they were very busy with large groups but took care of us royally.

This was our second visit as the first time had been absolutely excellent. Unfortunately this time wasn’t quite so good as my Dover Sole was rather sour. Having said that the oysters were fab and my colleague’s halibut was excellent. The recommended glass of white was so good we had a second followed by a nice bottle of Pinot noir. Quite expensive though.

Food was good. The chef who cooked our food came out and spoke to us personally and wished my wife a happy birthday

Food for a Thanksgiving feast was not the Best! Bread was like a brick, Salmon was tasteless, Oysters from MA were so full of salt (after I had asked for their best with flavor). They were awful!! Buttermilk Calamari forgot to use the better batter. So disappointed. Overall Food Flavor tasted like I had taken my family to a Chain restaurant. Oceanaire’s was once in my top 10 for fine dining. It is now in the bottom 100.

Crab cakes were as good as ever. The sourdough bread was off, gummy in the middle, Seafood gumbo was more like seafood chili, too thick. We still had a great time and enjoyed our lunch, just did not feel it was up to par.
Parking is a "discount" with validation still $10 plus a tip.

Oceanaire provided a corner booth for my wife and I to celebrate her birthday. The service was exceptional and the food was awesome! We had a great time and enjoyed the cream brulee birthday dessert!

We absolutely love the quiet atmosphere of this place! It's very sophisticated and the wait staff knows their stuff! They are extremely helpful and knowledgeable and the service is amazing. The chef personally walked to our table and asked how the meal was. It was absolutely phenomenal by the way!!

Excellent service. I enjoyed a cup of gumbo and the seafood chopped salad and both were exceptional. The salad was plentiful and the seafood - shrimp and real crabmeat - were fresh and delicious.

Great Service! Shrimp & Grits were Amazing. Ambience was a little dark in lighting.

Quiet for a Sunday night. Food was excellent as well as service. The last time I was in town was 13 years ago. Still excellent. White wine served at the right temperature.

Superb the crab cakes were the greatest. The fish was excellent. Highest praise goes to the server, Fowzi.

Fowzi’s attention to detail made our dinner a success. The ahi and halibut recommendations were delicious.

Very poor service. Food was fair at best. When is this location closing? It really is horrible. It used to be great. Not again for me. I’ll go downtown to Ocean Prime.

The food was great. It was my first time there and was very impressed. The food came out fast and the service was great. It was my husband’s birthday and they brought out a dessert on fire which was really cool. We will be back!

Steven took good care of us. Attentive without "bugging" us. Food is always good with fresh fish.

I was at a Business meeting a the Westin Galleria and Had Dinner at the Oceanaire which came recommended.
I would say the food was good with some unique options I hade the Grilled Halibut which was a little dry but still pretty good. My business partner Had Fried Lobster which he said was really good. Service was really good and everyone was really friendly. I would go there again if I’m in Dallas Again.

Great service and terrific food. THE place to go for seafood and service

IT WAS GOOD THERE, BUT IT WASN'T AS GREAT AS IT USUALLY IS. THE SERVICE WAS AN IMPROVEMENT FROM THE PRIOR DAY, BUT THE SERVICE WAS A BIT ON THE SLOW END NONETHELESS. SWORDFISH WAS AMAZINGLY PREPARED, BUT THE POTATOES WERE DOSED HEAVILY IN SALT, WHICH REMAINED PRETTY UNTOUCHED BY MY GROUP.

Always a great seafood dining experience. Although I had made reservations and with plenty of seating available I didn’t appreciate the booth next to the kitchen entrance.

I eat often at Oceanaire and am usually very pleased so I booked a table for six this evening for my sisters birthday. The bad experience started after we enjoyed some appetizers of oysters, fried lobster and calamari. Our waiter disappeared. After finally showing up and taking our orders he returned to our table about 10 minutes later to let us know that they were out of Redfish. Really? Out of Texas redfish in a Texas high end fish restaurant? I ordered Dover sole that has been spot on in the past. When our meals came out 4 of the dinners were great but the Dover sole dish was over cooked. We didn’t want to wait for a replacement so I ate what I could. During our meal I waved down our waiter and asked for some more bread. He returned in a few minutes to inform us they were out of bread. I was shocked. He did however return about 15 minutes later to inform us that he “found some bread”. When asked where it was found he said he didn’t know. That went over real great with my guests. We started speculating where it was found which lead to some humorous conversation.
We did receive a complementary piece of pie for my sisters birthday but never any apology or offer of assistance from our waiter.
I have been a long time Landry’s member and most generally enjoy my experience at Landry’s restaurants.
Maybe this evening was a fluke. I hope so.

Food was outstanding. Service was superb. Our waiter knew the menu and was helpful. My guests enjoyed the experience.
