As always PERFECT in everything
Great place to go. Historic building with a modern flare of traditional dining environment. Food and service was excellent. First time there
Jesus, one of the service staff, was very attentive and helpful. Food was good.
The food is always perfectly prepared here. Courses are well paced, and you never feel rushed. Our server Bridget was outstanding! She gave excellent recommendations mixed with friendly banter.
I would definitely recommend Ocenaire seafood to a friend. Actually, i already have. we love the food and the service by Nelsen was FANTASTIC.
Special place with wonderful choices of cuisine and beverage.
Great dining experience. Friendly and attentive staff. Excellent food. Great wine list. Ambiance is lovely.
IF YOU HAVEN'T DINED HERE BEFORE, YOU ARE MISSING OUT! EVERYTHING WAS TOP NOTCH HERE. SERVICE, FOOD, AMBIENCE... THE ONLY DOWNFALL WAS WE PAID "DURING THE WEEK GARAGE PRICES" FOR THE VALET PARKING ATTENDANT TO PARK OUR CAR ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE RESTAURANT.
Great food, beautiful surroundings
The service was really quite excellent. Our waiter, Louis, was superb. He suggests that I contact the restaurant beforehand, if I want cherrystone clams.
Everything was perfect! Special priced dinner for two was a great deal, but we will be back even without the special price.
Great food and GREAT service!
Service food price all great
The restaurant is an old bank converted into a stately and elegant dining room. We were greeted at the unassuming host stand and guided to our table by a maitre d’. The service was good and the seafood was fresh, delicious and presented in the style a high end steak and seafood house only can. This is a place for special occasions.
We went with friends to take advantage of the Labor Day offer. While the food was very good, the 3-course offering included extremely meager salads. One guest asked for salad dressing on the side, which never came, even after asking a second time for it. Another diner asked for coffee, which was delivered when everyone was done with dessert, so he really didn’t want it at that point. I’m used to better service at Oceanaire.
Best place we’ve eaten in Boston. Loved it! Food was amazing, service was great, prices were very reasonable for quality of food.
Awesome food and ambience.
The server and hostess were always checking to ensure that things are taken care.
They had a Labor Day special for couples which was a deal. I had the salmon fillet which was perfectly cooked and juicy.
My wife had steak which was cooked as she wanted.
They have a large bar and the whole place is clean and intimate.
Definitely recommend to others..looking forward to their every Sunday oyster specials.
Always great food with great service. Best calamari. The interior is quite beautiful. Old mixed with new.
Food was delicious and the service was outstanding.
I ordered the restaurant week course and added foie gras to my entree. The foie gras came in a separate dish and is ice cold. It was raw. I never had a raw foie gras before. I asked the waitress to switch that dish. She took the raw foie gras and came back with one piece of foie gras cut into 4 parts. And according to the shape of the foie gras, I highly suspected they just reheat the former one. I still can see my bite on that piece. Also, the waitress said they cut the foie gras to make sure it was cooked. That was ridiculous.
The food was amazing and so filling!
Food was great. Service pretty slow. Go here to enjoy lunch over 2 hours.
This was our third year celebrating our wedding anniversary at Oceanaire each year it has been better than the last of that's possible.
The manager was great. When you’re spending $160 for 1 for dinner...it is inexcusable in a nice restaurant to be rushed through your courses. Had my dinner come literally 8 minutes after receiving my caesar salad. The manager immediately corrected the concern. Hopefully the dinner that was served, was fresh and not the 1st dinner that was brought 30min prior from the kitchen to table, from table back to kitchen. When it was the servers error, besides I have Crohns and any unfresh food...is not good for me.
I ordered dessert to go. That was disappointing. The waiter failed to listen. I traveled an hour from Leominster just for dinner and had a 10min walk to my car. I specifically told the waiter no “ice cream” when he gave me my options. And I reiterated my travel. Ultimately he failed to mention the dessert ordered, bananas foster was served with ice cream. It was basically 2 small pieces of banana nut bread, with melted ice cream and melted whip cream by the time I got home to eat it. Very disappointing after leaving him a good tip and spending $165 for dinner. There should have been nothing short of perfection.

Incredible dinning experience with knowledgeable and courteous staff. Amazing food and the room is beautiful!
first time at this location but will not be our last. First the room is lovely. It is set in an old Bank with lots of marble and vaults, high ceilings and well spaced tables. Our server Francisco was awesome. very helpful and attentive while remaining unobtrusive. The best of the starters was a crab cake arguably the best i have ever had. The tuna poke was fresh and good but the construction made it a challenge to share. The octopus with plantains was very tasty but i thought it was overcooked so it was chewier than it should have been.
the Halibut was one of the mains and Francisco suggested Oscar Style (not on the menu) it was amazing. Being Tuna lovers, 3 of us all had the seared tuna. Great portion, perfectly seared and top quality. It was excellent. We managed to share a potato side Hash Browned Oceanaire style. Topped the dinner off sharing a very nicely done Baked Alaska and a weak rendition of Happy Birthday for our Daughter! Well Done. I hope this can be repeated on a Saturday night.
We went to lunch during restaurant week...Their pre/fix lunch of a Haddock Club was to us very overpriced. The sandwich was small & very dry.. I realize that Boston restaurants can be expensive, however, I think for three people with just one glass of wine each $ 125 without tip was a tad to expensive.
Great space to sea food. Our first time there and will certainly go back again!
This was our first visit. We found the atmosphere to be welcoming and the food and level of service to be outstanding.
Food was great & they provided excellent customer service
Our waitress was excellent. The food was good, not to die for but good but she was the nicest part of the evening. So sweet and kind to our 13 year old son.
Love the night. The food was amazing. The servers were really attentive and great. The jumbo shrimp cocktail and the baked alaskan. Cannot wait to go back for more.
Outstanding service, outstanding food! Made for a great birthday dinner for family visiting from out of town ! Highly recommended!!
We were in Boston for the end of our vacation and dinner at the Oceanaire was a superior experience. Would definitely recommend this to any traveler to Boston that wants to eat at a fine dining restaurant.
We did enjoy ourselves very much due to the ambiance and service. I was there a few years back, and remember the food being outstanding. I have to say, that it was somewhat disappointing. My fish was overcooked. My son had the steak and shrimp. For the price, it was a small steak and even less shrimp. Inspite of the mediocre entrees, the salads, dessert and whipped potatoes were delicious.
Good value and good food. Service was excellent. The local lobster was sweet and tasty.
Reliably delicious, prompt and courteous service. Thank you!
Fantastic service and the menu had a large variety of selections. The staff were friendly and the drinks were terrific.
