Dutch harbor king crab legs are amazing
The service was great our server was very attentive. I brought a cake an was charged a $25.00 fee that was a little disheartening to be charged a extra fee for a cake.
Server was attentive without being intrusive. Service and food were both exceptional. Favorite dinner spot in the Harbor.
The food is great our server Francisco was also great. I try to get to Oceanaire as often as possible. We go to DC and Baltimore, I like the design of Baltimore it feels a little more comfortable.
Very good seafood. Nice wine list. Excellent service. Very nice evening.
Atmosphere was pretty the restaurant was basically empty on a Saturday evening in downtown Baltimore which is rare.. it took a long tome to be seated even with reservations (the hostess disappeared and never came back). The food was decent but not worth the price at all very mediocre. I went for my birthday and the put my name on a menu and comped my dessert which was nice.
Came to Oceanaire for a first date, requested a booth in a relatively quiet area. All requests were granted. Waiter was excellent. Gave great suggestions and gave us plenty of time for my date and I to talk and get to know each other better. Ordered appetizers and our meals and they were promptly prepared and served. Food was delicious and just the right size. I saved room for dessert and got the baked alaska, which was delicious. It was a tough call between the baked alaska and the chocolate creme brulee.
All in all, a great meal, fantastic service and worth the money.
Terrific food and service. Steaks, crab cakes, lumped crab appetizer and service were all top shelf! Looking forward to going back.
Great service, food was excellent at a great price
This was a disappointing experience. My husband and I went for a date night before going to the movies mainly due to location and we wanted oysters. Everything here is overpriced, the food is mediocre (other than the scallops which where very good), oysters were not cleanly shucked, service was slow and drinks were disappointing. We both had martinis and the pour only filled half the glass. The server even commented on it and said she’d bring us more to top off the glass but never did. We wanted to order dessert but after waiting for 25 minutes for her to return we had to leave to make the movie. There are far better seafood places on Baltimore for us to ever go back here.
We came down to the city to stay while our house lost power, and Oceanaire was right next to our hotel. Had been for work dinners but never with my wife.....had a great couple cocktails to start, a soup and salad we both shared, which were both great.....then crab cakes and tune....the seafood is top quality and cannot be beat! Our waiter Mario was attentive and his memory excellent.....we really enjoyed it! Got dessert to go and was great back in our room watching a movie....would recommend to anyone, anytime!
Lovely meal with business colleagues. Staff were friendly and accommodating.
Always a great time there. Food is awesome and so is quality of service. Waiters know what they are doing!!
The steak was good but shrimp were cold. Drink were weak. My girlfriend had a Long Island and was highly disappointed with the alcohol content even after the waiter suggested it. Overall, it was a average evening.
Exactly what we had expected. Had dined there previously so knew what to expect!
This was our first and regrettably last visit to Baltimore’s Oceanaire. We met friends for Saturday night dinner at this restaurant which promotes itself as the “fresh fish version” of a high end steakhouse. It was anything but.
There were 4 of us. We got off to a slow start after moving to another table not directly under the excessively loud speakers. One of our guests ordered white wine which the waiter brought in a mini carafe. I’ve never written seen wine NOT poured directly from the bottle.
Although he ordered a dry white wine, it was bubbly/foamy-looking like beer and tasted like carbonated apple cider which he had to return. The waiter brought an unopened bottled and poured him a new glass which was fine.
Our guests ordered the calamari appetizer which they said was okay. My husband and I ordered salads which, other than dessert, were the highlights of the evening. Our entrees were hugely disappointing.
Two of us ordered the highlighted menu item, New Zealand John Dory which our waiter described as sweet and buttery. The others ordered tuna and rockfish. At nearly $50 for the John Dory a la carte entree, it came overcooked, dried out, unseasoned and flavorless.
Our guest returned his and ordered the the John Dory “simply prepared” while I kept mine but ordered balsamic dressing to pour over it. He of course had to wait for his meal while the rest of us ate ours.
We split the baked Alaska which was good as was the Oceanaire coffee. The bill came to around $300 (before tax) and after the manager waived $11 for the bad wine. Really?? At these prices we should have left delighted.
I would have given 0 stars for VALUE if I could. Don’t waste your money. This place is amateur. I learned that it is part of Landry’s and we have enjoyed Morton’s among others in this chain. We won’t be back to Oceanaire.
Our waiter was perfect - attentive, knowledgeable, funny
The food was delicious - everything we ordered from appetizers to soup to entrée to dessert
The service was perfect - not too slow and not rushed
We just think the lighting could be a tad bit brighter.
Loved the jazzy background music
Would definitely go back for a special occasion.
It was very nice the food was good and service was good I would come back in the future
My wife was celebrating her birthday and we had an excellent time. The service was first rate and the food came out perfectly!
Had been looking forward to eating here, but was really disappointed. The food was fine, but not outstanding. We were seated in the bar area for a special occasion; would not waste my time/money eating here again. Overall, not worth it in any way.
An incredible meal and service to celebrate our anniversary! Can’t wait to return!
The waiter was polite, knowledgeable, attentive.
The hostess/host at front door initially gave us a bad table adjacent to the door and the servers' station. However, the dining room remained more than half-empty upon arrival and throughout our meal during a primetime Saturday night. We weren't walk-ins; we had reservations.
We absolutely love this place. Everything was perfect.
This was second visit to th Baltimore location. My first visit exceeded this visit. But, it is still a high quality seafood restaurant.
This visit the truffle mashed potatoes were very dry even when the brought a new batch. Our serve also assumed we wanted our lobsters shelled without asking.
Even though mistakes were main the staff were friendly and went above and beyond.
Alex was the best with recommendations and ensuring we had a great existence.
Food was great as usual, but waiter was a little scarce at times. Didn't see him at all after the apps came out. Service is usually much better.
Service was very good. Food was good but a little pricy. Nice place for a special occasion.
Great food. A little pricey but food and service was great. Had to send one item back because it was a little under done but it was taken care of quickly. Only negative was time it took to get food was a little long
We were greeted and seated wonderfully. The food was great. Our waiter was either an unhappy person, or having a bad day. He never smiled, never engaged and seemed annoyed throughout our meal. Expected a better experience at Oceanaire.
Good food, they were out of a few things due to the Valentine’s rush I’m assuming. I love the oysters and went there specifically for those. They had a specific menu and should have mentioned when booking.
We dine here quite often as it is our favorite restaurant. We have never had a bad meal.
Experience was amazing especially for such a busy day.
We went for Valentine’s Day it was very nice the waiter I believe Chris was very friendly and we enjoyed everything my whole family thank you
The occasion was Valentines dinner and we had a great meal and great service.
COMPLIMENTS TO FRIENDINESS OF THE SERVER( HER NAME ESCAPES ME)AND THE ATMOSPHER LENDS ITSELF TO GOOD CONVERSATION. THE RAW BAR WILL BE MY NEXT ADVENTURE AT THE OCEANAIRE
The restaurant was very good. The food and service were excellent. The parking was horrible. It took a long time to drop off the car and it took at least a half hour, 30 minutes, to get the car when we were finished. The system was disorganized and very concerning.
What can I say great service and great food I will definitely be going back!!
The food was very fresh and delicious. Our waitress was the best! I rate this one of the best restaurants in Baltimore!
The food her was delicious! I was honestly surprised. I would definitely recommend to friends to family.
It was the most beautiful experience ever. The food was great but the service and attentiveness to us was superb. I will be going back soon! My mom truly enjoyed her birthday dinner. I couldn’t have asked for anything better.
