First Mother’s Day celebration dinner
Outstanding. A must go when in the Cape. Absolutely superb. Jack was an amazing waiter
Enjoyed our one year wedding anniversary here and could not have been happier. The restaurant is beautiful, the views are stunning and the food is amazing!
Great, lively yet relaxing ambiance with a great view. Food options are!Limited so don't expect a spectacular meal. Well made, tasty food though despite being a tad pricey.
Ended up sitting at the bar great atmosphere. However the bartenders were not friendly at all. Been working in fine dining on south beach for 16 years, 5 of those year at the capital grille. A restaurant of this caliber, we had higher expectations. Decided to leave after appetizers because the lack of service really. Went to waquessett for dinner. Didn’t even check to see if we needed anything or if we were enjoying our apps. It was our 1 year anniversary.
Very nice venue and attentive staff, but the kitchen only has one setting: well done.
We got married at Ocean Edge 18 years ago. We have been back every year since to have dinner and visit the grounds. The staff are always so nice and make us feel special. Thank you.
Great food and good service. Crab cakes were excellent.
Capable hostess team
The not so good:
SERVICE, SERVICE, SERVICE
lack of creativity and flavor in food
Stayed at the resort as a surprise birthday gift to my wife and dined at the rooftop restaurant overlooking the ocean. Bit pricey, but well worth it. Food was excellent and all of the staff were friendly and very personable. Great spot for a vacation, or to just stop for an excellent meal in great surrondings.
Amazing service, the environment was beautiful, the waitstaff was fantastic. The meal was delicious. People at the front desk reception area of resort hotel were unfortunately snotty when we ventured in to ask about the place, they were visibly annoyed by our questions. there is no need for people working in hospitality industry to ever ever be rude to customers.
The restaurant had great views and relaxing vibe. Good food, but not great for the price they charge.
We came on a Saturday night in the summer with reservations for my mom's birthday.
We've been vacationing in Brewster for over 25 years and never stopped in until this weekend.
What a treat!!
Service was above and beyond as it began to rain and we were quickly shielded by pop up umbrellas and offered cozy blankets to keep warm.
The view is amazing at sunset and the food exquisite!
We will definitely be back again and again!
This place has good food, but definitely not worth the money. View is nice, but again, not worth. Understandable, given the view, if you want to try it once, but, again, not worth it.
A beautiful ambiance - that’s all to mention. The choices on the menu are minimal, the quality of the meals are poor and well overpriced. Kids have hard time finding something reasonable. Just to pay for the outlook is not worth it.
Good food and service; expensive
Nice ambience. Food was disappointing.
Went to Ocean House for a Birthday Dinner.
Upon arrival we were seated promptly. After we were seated we waited a long time just place our order ( and the terrace was not busy at all) after finally placing our order both appetizers and main meal . The appetizers along with the children’s meal came out together .
We then sent the child’s meal back for it to accompany the main meal . The appetizers were good . The main meal which consisted of the child’s filet mignon and two adult beef tenderloin were stone cold . Very disappointing considering this is an exclusive Cape Cod destination .
Service was poor. One meal came out with apps and salad. The other meals came out after so we ate in shifts. Drink was spilled on us and not offered to replace it. It was supposed to be an anniversary dinner but we didn’t eat together. Food was delicious and atmosphere was nice. Very unorganized as others had similar issues. We had to ask the bus boy for a dessert menu. At an expensive restaurant service should be better. Very disappointing.
Service & staff truly exceptional! Food very good & good variety for kids menu.
Our servers were amazing. My family member had suffered a stroke 5 months ago and needed help getting to the table, seating and even putting his sweater on....it was a lovely evening. I just wish there were restrooms on the same level.
Poor service. Shabby tables. Really surprising! Could do so much more with the place.
The setting is perfect for Cape Cod. You sit perched high above the water, having expansive ocean views about 1/4 mile away. The server was very friendly, but the service was some what sub-par. She came around in every 15-20 minutes, even when we had requested something like another drink, more water or the dessert menu. The food was delicious, though don’t come hungry, because you will leave hungry, especially if you are one with a big appetite as I am.
I would definitely return and visit the bar, as the scene was lively.
All and all a good spot to try.
We went for an anniversary dinner. The sunset view was lovely but the entire experience was underwhelming. The quality of the food was good, but inconsistent with the elegance of the venue. The service seemed so slow—it took over 20 minutes just to get our check and another 10+ to have it processed. We eventually had to flag down the hostess in order to pay our bill and leave!
I don't plan to write a lot. I have told Chef, GM, Restaurant Mgr Resort Mgrthat everything was EXCELLENT Strongly recommend to others and have done so Thank you
We ate at the Ocean Terrace for Mother’s Day Brunch.
I had made a reservation on Open Table a week before.
There were 4 tables (including ours) when we sat down at 1:30.
I am disappointed to provide the following feedback:
-The service was slow and sporadic.
-We had to seek serving staff out multiple times to get things we had asked for, or to simply get another glass of water.
-The main course came out roughly at 2:45-3:00ish. The food was overcooked and cold. It appeared that it had been previously prepared and was sitting somewhere prior to being served to us.
We told our server this but he appeared to not know what to do with the information.
After waiting such a long time (over an hour for the food) we ate it as we were very hungry.
I don’t believe I will return to this restaurant anytime soon, certainly not for a special event such as Mother’s Day etc….Again Very Disappointed
For a $60 pre fixe, this was pretty bad. Even ala carte would have been bad. This was mother's day brunch, and there was rack of lamb and halibut as entrees. One egg entree, one egg app, nothing very brunchey. Then to boot, the halibut was majorly dry, like inedible. My mother and I sent them back (something I rarely do), and got back fish that was just slightly less dry than the first ones. It was a shame, as the setting and views are just beautiful. But the food and the menu itself were really disappointing. (service was great).
Lovely atmosphere, attentive waitstaff, good food!
We celebrated our 25th Anniversary there. Beautiful Resort with friendly staff and great accommodations and food. During warm weather, great for walking and enjoying the beach.
We were initially put out on the Terrace where there weren't any lights or heat lamps. It got windy , cold & dark and asked if there wasn't anything available closer to the heat and light. The waitress from Romania and another gentleman (mgr?) were so accommodating - they took our table & chairs and moved them in front of the bar where there were lights and they turned the heat lamps on for us. Excellent evening and a big thank you to your staff!
Thoroughly enjoyed the food and the setting. Very effective heat lamps to allow outdoor dining even in cooker weather.
Outdoor dining at ocean edge resort. I have dined here many times during the season. Food is always very good - with an occasional miss- which they will gladly make it right if you speak up. Fish dishes are usually superior to the beef. Which is good but not exceptional. Prices are high but typical for a higher end resort .
I'd pass on the crab cakes, they were very fishy. Service was prompt and attentive without being intrusive. Great late night dining option on the cape!
We are staying at the resort and have had several meals at the Ocean Terrace Restaurant. Every meal has been great. Food was delicious and the servers very accommodating. Last night was a special occasion that was handled perfectly. Can not say enough good things about the food and staff. Thank you.
To start with the positives, the setting is beautiful, the service was excellent and the food was very good. A number of other factors offset what could have been an excellent review. We had tried (through OT) to get a table for three between 6:00 and 6:30 but could only get a reservation for 5:30 or earlier, or much later in the night (after 8:00.) Fair enough. However, throughout our entire meal and by the time we left, we observed thatno more than 1/4 of the dining tables were occupied. We could have easily been accommodated. Next, OpenTable flagged the restaurant as "$$" stating meals were "$30 and under." In fact, surprisingly, there are only 6 items in total to choose from on the dinner menu (large plates) and they ranged from $26 - $42. And, only ONE item was under $30, and four of the six ranged from $38- $42. Lastly, while the setting is gorgeous (you are high overlooking Cape Cod Bay) you cannot see anything at the dining tables because of the tall, thick, closely spaced stone balusters and railings enclosing the area. We asked if we could be seated at one of the high tops immediately adjacent to the dining section in order to enjoy the view, but were politely told the high tops were for "snacks and drinks only." This might be understandable if the high top section was crowded. It wasn't. Only one high top was taken, all other table were available. In short, a beautiful place but some unnecessary frustrations surrounding our experience.
Great outdoor dinner!!!
Best grilled filet mignon EVER!
The restaurant has a great location with great views of the bay. Unfortunately, everything else was not up to the same standard. The food was okay at best on the limited menu (the fish was over-cooked, caesar salad was subpar but to be fair the Filet Mignon was very good and the Mussels were as well). For the prices though, I would expect very good on all dishes at the very least.
The services was good and our server did his best (even went to the other on property restaurant to get our drinks when the restaurant bar was slow).
Overall the experience was not what we had hoped for.
Service was horrible so slow and we had to ask for an item multiple times and our waitress didn't even know our appetizers for the cost I would go to another restaurant
Very limited menu. Water views are available at very few tables. Value for price seemed low.
Breathtaking view of the Bay. Our waitress, Zoey, was overly attentive, knowledgeable of menu & wine-offering suggestion to us. Perfect night.
