Tables close together. Heaters make it nice no matter the temp.
Because the Ocean Terrace was closed due to the rain, Level 2 was more crowded and noisy. Service was quite slow and inattentive.
The ocean view is amazing. The only reason I won't return are due to the seagulls that jump on peoples table to grab food. Then they get stuck in the area and it takes awhile for them to fly off...only to return again :(
Amazing experience for the birthday we were celebrating! Highly recommend!
Their new check /payment policy only gives you option to tip 20, 25%...or none, and they tack on a surcharge of another 3%. the whole time we were paying the waiter watched seeing what we were tipping (talk about pressure). As a result, our dinner was VERY EXPENSIVE involving an involuntary 30% tip. We probably won't be returning any time soon.
The views, the food and the service were fantastic!
We made a reservation and indicated that we were celebrating our anniversary and the staff recognized this. Service was very attentive with very positive energy without being intrusive. The food, especially the pear and endive salad, was delicious.
The blackened fish tacos was but the strawberry lemonade tasted watered down.
One of our favorites! We love the restaurant and the views!
We arrived too early for the outdoor seating on level
3 which was the original reservation, as we arrived before our 4:30 timeslot. So, the host recommended we start at the bar for happy hour while waiting, which we did. We then were moved to a table for dinner.
The drinks were- amazing. The service, was impeccable.
The view and ambiance were also great!
The food however, not so much. My friend ordered the ceviche, and soon after leaving began to feel ill. She had digestive issues all throughout the rest of the evening, and has no food allergies, so we can only conclude something was done in error with either the storing or the prepping of the ceviche.
Other than that, it was a very good experience.
I also got an email from open table afterwards saying we had not shown ? For the reservation which was perturbing. When we moved to the table the host had said he would take care of transferring the reservation, so it was frustrating to get an email afterwards stating the opposite information was given to open table.
Amazing food great views and brilliant value
My birthday every year my mom and I go!
An expensive restaurant but to be expected in a tony area of La Jolla facing the Pacific Ocean. A nice assortment of different plates. The mussels app was a large portion, tender and the light tomato broth was delicious. The salmon was tender and was also a good portion served with a rich flavorful mushroom risotto.
Our server was attentive without being overbearing. A nice evening to end our vacation in La Jolla.
We had a great dinner with fresh seafood great salads .
The view was spectacular. Even on a cool night it was great. They had heaters n blankets
Service was 5 star.
My only comment was open table rated it as under$30. Its 30-40 for entree.
We definitely go back.
Great meal.and the service was adequate, but not at the usual stellar level. The burger was tasty but more well done than medium. My server did ask me if there were any other questions I had about the menu or any other dietary requirements.
Yum!!!! Def try the soup!
This restaurant was highly recommended and it did not disappoint! Cocktails, food and service were outstanding! Appreciate them having a kids menu as well. Of course you can't beat the fantastic view either.
Very nice with a beautiful view!
Beautiful spot, but you're paying for it. Food was good, but no one is there for the food. Location is beautiful, as were all of the servers and many guests.
Excellent server Big Joe.
George’s is a must if in the San Diego area!! Great food, impeccable service and amazing views!
It was great and amazing. Beautiful view of the ocean by La Jolla.
Great place for a bite, drinks, and watching the sun set.
We had the a wonderful server! Very nice woman with brown hair, we didn’t catch her name. So efficient and so nice.
Great service. Exceptional waiter
Fantastic lunch overlooking the ocean. Superb fish tacos and even better margarita!! Highly highly recommend!
We had a wonderful lunch, so healthy and delicious! Love to return!
Went for cocktails and had a fantastic time! If you are visiting La Jolla it is a definite place to have lunch, dinner or just drinks!!!
Shrimp tacos very dry.
Appetizers were tastier than our main course ( and each of us had a different dish)! Location and view is outstanding but our family will not return to this restaurant for dinner.
one of the premium coastal view locations in La Jolla. I like the upstairs, as it's all outdoors, great views and bit more casual (and better value) than downstairs. Headlamps make it fine to sit outside with a light jacket or sweater even with temparates in the low 60s at night.
Great lunch spot in La Jolla with stunning view overlooking the cove.
amazing view on the ocean terrace; great lunch deals too. fish sandwich and burger was so good
Great food, great view and Service is always fantastic.
Great everything! Keep up the good work. Sorry we missed the sunset. Best albacore I’ve ever had. Great drinks!
The service here is top notch. Had a chill bartender who recommended and made my favorite margarita of all time. Waitress Natalie is so unbelievably kind, surprising us with champagne and a nice souvenir for our 11th anniversary trip. The manager made it to come over to really make us feel welcome as well. Food portions were large. The burger was so juicy but the fish was not my favorite. The fish in the ceviche had a ginger taste? The fish in the tacos were more of a cooked salmon texture.. I prefer a smooth white fish in tacos, so that’s really just based on preference. None the less, you can’t beat the amazing view on the ocean terrace and exceptional service! I’ll definitely be back next time to try their popular sticky toffee pudding cake!
Fabulous Family Lunch with a Gorgeous View!
Best dirty martini and salmon dish I've had in a long time. And, the creme brulee with snickerdoodle cookie was outstanding!!
This was my second night in a row eating on the rooftop restaurant because I loved it so much last night. Food is amazing (I ordered the shortribs each time and my boyfriend ordered an the noodle dish with the Hawaiin fish - both were delicious) and the view stunning especially if you can get there before sunset. The first night, our waiter was outstanding but the second night Heather was really a pretty terrible waitress. She didn't check on us, we had to ask twice for my boyfriend's beer and it took asking 3x for my receipt. She didn't explain anything about the dishes like my waiter from last night. she looked like she was totally bored with her job and probably should have gone home. Other than Heather, this is a wonderful restaurant that I would highly recommend.
