Inside and out, Ocean Terrace offers a refined dining experience against the stunning backdrop of Cape Cod Bay. At this Cape Cod restaurant, take a seat and sip on a refreshing glass of wine while gazing over the water’s horizon.

Guests can dine on elevated New England fare at every meal, including a grilled lobster roll with basil aioli, a hearty bowl of traditional clam chowder, and delectable oysters on the half shell. When the evening grows dark, gather out on the terrace and warm your spirits over fire bowls and conversation.

Service was lacking. Food was good but not warm enough. Expensive NY strip was not Prime beef. Halibut was a good portion but lukewarm.

We went here because it was on some list as "oceanfront." This restaurant is far from the ocean, which isn't even visible unless you're standing up. The ambiance may improve later in the evening, but at 6:00 p.m. it was empty and staff was standing around. We ended up each getting a salad and an appetizer to be polite, but didn't get entrees or desserts or spend the time we would have if the restaurant had been what we expected. The waiter was fine, but the whole situation felt awkward.

We had a really nice anniversary brunch here. Nice views of the bay, food was outstanding. Highly recommend the lobster quiche. The staff gave us complimentary desserts for our celebration, which was a very nice gesture. Service started off a little slow, but by the time we left we could not have been happier. Be sure to request outdoor seating if you like a sea breeze with your pancakes.

Thank you to server Emily, hostess Terry and bartender L for another delicious Mother’s Day dinner. This has become our new annual tradition with my visiting mother in law. The setting can’t be beat- dining while watching the sun set is always so enjoyable- and the heat lamps provided us a comfortable experience despite a chilly Bay breeze.

Love the atmosphere, food and location. However, it might be because it was early in the season, but service was horrible. I needed to go the service station of the bar and grab my own drink that had been sitting there for 20min. The bartender had to apologize for the server.

This was first weekend the terrace was open. Initial service was slow as we waited to be seated for 5-10 mins. But once seated service was good, food was good

We ate at Oceans Edge on Thanksgiving. We were in seating 3. We arrived promptly at 4 o’clock. The food was looked picked over, likely because it was leftover from prior 2 seatings. None of the dishes were hot, it was lukewarm at best even the hot gravy could not warm up the meal. Service was scarce and we felt like we needed to flag someone down to get a drink. The ambience overall was not great, with full lighting on in the ballroom. Additionally, there were no holiday decorations. A service fee of 20% was automatically added, which I would’ve had no problem with if we actually had attentive service. For the money, I expected an experience which this was not. Overall we left very disappointed and would not recommend.

We had a reservation for four but they only had tables for two in the area under the heaters. Put us in the back corner of the patio where it was freezing. Server took our order and it was 30 minutes before the drinks came. We asked to move to the warmer area and they kept seating other parties instead of moving us. Server said they had no bartenders or food servers. We ended up leaving before the food came.

We had dinner here on Saturday night and it was beyond disappointing. The terrace itself was absolutely freezing - while the main bar area has heaters, the actual terrace did not have a single heater, leaving all guests out there absolutely freezing. Service was SO slow all around and our meals were terrible. I ordered the mushroom tart which was $34 - it was literally an empty hardshell pie crust filled with what looked like a side order of mushrooms. It was beyond bad. The table next to us got up and left halfway through their meal they were so frustrated with the slow service. We overheard their waitress explaining to them that they are currently understaffed, doing way too many weddings, so do not have enough cooks, bartenders or servers to do regular meal service. It clearly showed. While this spot is probablyy great for a drink, it was not the nice meal at all we were expecting or paid for.

This was our second visit to Ocean Edge, our first visit to the Terrace. There was a wedding reception the night we attended and we weren't able to see the water as the result. It was beautiful to be outside and the heaters helped keep us warm. The prices are really high on the food but the portions are not large. Next time, I will return to another local favorite which has delicious food and larger portion sizes for the price. Ocean Edge is beautiful, but I don't think we will return.
