It could have been perfect except one thing made it miserable - IT IS LOUD. It is the loudest restaurant experience I have ever had (and that is saying a lot). We ate there on a weekday evening, not in high season and not in the middle of the dining room. The menus are great - wine and cocktails, many options for each course and great service. The place could be absolutely wonderful but it will require that you yell to speak to anyone at your table. We are young and hear fine. Those hearing compromised absolutely should not dine here unless seated outside. (It was really funny to read the "Attire Information" on the website. Take a look.)

Everything was amazing! Joe was our server He was super knowledgeable and attentive. Two of our party of 4 had the 14oz sirloin. One had lobster bisque in lieu of sides and the other had tater tots that were huge. The sirloin was outstanding. So tender! I had the blackened snapper. It was an amazing fusion of flavor. Best fish I’ve had in a long time! My husband who’s birthday we were celebrating and he had the wedge salad and lobster linguine. I tasted the wedge. The bacon was sugared and again, amazing melody of flavors. His linguine was excellent. He was the only one who didn’t have leftovers. Only downside would be that with the high price it’s not somewhere we can frequent often but definitely on special occasions!

Special place - like a jewel! Had an absolutely lovely special occasion evening - ate at a booth in the bar area, which was fantastic for dinner - cool lighting, beautiful bar, we always find it more interesting than main dining rooms. Impeccable service, food was delicious and served in just the right cadence, and the cocktails are always fantastic (especially if you are a manhattan fan!). Not a cheap place, but definitely worth the splurge for a special night or to impress a date!

We love Ocean Prime we’ve been to one in Denver, Washington DC, Tampa and now in our vacation city of Sarasota we went there twice and had great service both times this week and the food was great.

Visit was a mixed bag. The lobster tails were excellent, the 10 oz filet just OK (does not compare to Ruth's Chris.) Onion soup was good but salty, Caesar salad was very good. Side dish of double baked potato was excellent and the sauteed mushrooms were very good and when combined with the steak it helped the mediocre steak. The service was exceptional. Our server was very professional and attentive. If this review was based on service it would be a home run. For an expensive restaurant certain things seemed a little tacky. Charging $8 for a basket of bread seems excessive and after a full meal charging $10 for parking was insulting. The ambiance of the restaurant is quite pleasing, but we were seated next to a serving station was less than ideal. We've eaten at the Ocean Prime in Orlando and Tamapa. After those experiences this was a little disappointing. All in all you might want to try this restaurant out of curiosity but be prepared....for what you get it is overpriced in my opinion.

Our meal was outstanding. Service seas impeccable and quite knowledgeable about menu items. Our server offered great suggestions to enhance our dining experience. The 'location is great with nice views if dining outside.
