Ocean Prime - Naples Ratings and Reviews
We went with another couple for restaurant week so for $35 per person we got salads or lobster bisque (the bisque was excellent), we all ordered filet mignons .. mine was cooked a little too rare for me (I ordered medium) but everyone else's was perfect. But the tenderness and flavor were excellent. The steak came with mashed potatoes and green beans (both very good). For desert we all ordered the carrot cake .. again excellent. I highly recommend, but what a bargain for restaurant week dining.
The three of us sat at a table so it would be easier to talk. We normally prefer a bar seat but that would have been difficult. We enjoyed the Restaurant Menu this time. Had some good wine and conversation, overall it was a fantastic time. Everything was prepared perfectly and the service was good. The dessert was very generous. This was another great experience.
We went for Restaurant Week -- and we were not disappointed. We both started with the lobster bisque, which was amazing. It had corn kernels in it, which was unexpected to this New Englander, as it is a bisque not a chowder, but a welcomed sweetness nonetheless. I ordered the filet, and my boyfriend ordered the seabass -- both cooked to perfection, and the accompaniments were wonderful. I finished with the layered carrot cake, and he with the decadent chocolate peanut butter cake.
The service was outstanding. The food was timed perfectly. Even gave us a few minutes to breath, digest, and enjoy our drinks & the atmosphere before serving dessert. Beautiful three course meal beginning to end.
Excellent!!! The service was top notch from Sergio. The food was delicious. Goat Cheese Ravioli (supurb), Tuna Tartar and Calamari (a wee bit too much sauce), all fantastic. Sea Bass, Seared Tuna, Salmon, Filet Mignon were all spot on. Great Truffle Fries, Brussel Sprouts and Baked Potatoes. Nice wine and drink list. We will be back!
A+ on every front except for our server misunderstanding a wine order. Admittedly it was by the glass, so not a huge mistake. A member of our party was served red wine 🍷 when a white wine had been ordered. It was corrected but we expect all servers understand the names of the wines. We were able to benefit while ordering from the “Restaurant Week” menu and enjoyed a lovely filet mignon three course meal for a very reasonable price. Thank you Ocean Prime!
We tried this restaurant fir the first time during Restaurant Week. The fixed menu offered many options for first course, entree and dessert . The four of us each tried something different . Everything we ordered was outstanding! Great presentation, great flavors and generous portions. We had a fabulous waiter . Service was impeccable! Great bar and cocktail list as well. Don’t be afraid by the noise when you walk in. They were happy to seat us in the back room, which was great for watching the tree lighting ceremony on Fifth Avenue. Much quieter there. The place has a fun vibe ! We will definitely be back !!
Overall, it was a good experience. The food quality was top notch. It is a nice restaurant. On the downside, our wait person was ok, but not nearly as exceptional as the food was. There were long gaps of inattentiveness. He may have had too many tables or may have chosen to prioritize his service to his other tables where the alcohol orders kept coming and coming. A second negative is that the noise level was bad. A table of six next to us drank a lot and was way....loud. At times it was downright rude and made our experience unpleasant.
We will try again, due to the great food, hoping the service and noise may be better.
We had a very nice meal. The only reason I gave the food 4 stars was because we ordered the filet medium rare and it came to the table medium well.
The server looked at it immediately and offered to cook another. It was going to take some time, and everyone else at the table was eating so she brought out a huge shrimp cocktail to eat while waiting for the second steak. Very good customer service.
Excellent service and wonderful dining experience. Ambiance was totally charming, especially with all the Christmas lights in downtown Naples. Romantic, festive and 100% enjoyable.
This wasn't our first time there, and it won't be our last. A bit pricey, but highly recommend.
We frequently visit this ocean prime. It is one of our favorites. Just as a note to the restaurant we had one major issue this visit. My wife and I shared a bone in steak. We discussed the temp with the waiter but it came very rare/raw! This surprised us because they split it in the kitchen so it was very easy to see that it was raw. We asked that they take it back to the fire, and they did. But when it came back, it was dry and very tasteless. We were with friends so we just said nothing. It was certainly not within the ocean prime standards. I would never let them split our meal in the kitchen again because that ruined our expensive steak.
Felt you need to know these things as I am a business owner as well. We love ocean prime and look forward to many more visits in the coming days.
