Food was overly salted, lobster tails on the smallish side and had been dusted with pepper for some reason. Had to ask for drawn butter at table side. Steak was tough. Drinks were good and crème brûlée was very good. Pricey for the quality.

The service and food was superb and thank you for the separate closed room, with door, for my party. The closed room enabled us to more easily talk with and enjoy each other’s company during our dinner.

I love the ambience and the staff was really nice. The food was just really salty. Everybody at my table complained about their dish being on the salty side. I didn't get a refill of water at all. Although we arrived before the crowd, it took a long, long time for our food to deliver.

I celebrated my birthday at Ocean Prime! The food was very good, the restaurant is so pretty and everyone is very nice and attentive. However, Darren, our waiter was the show stopper during our entire eating experience! Funny, smart and knowledgeable of everything on the menu, not afraid to give his honest opinion or suggestion. If you visit the restaurant ask to be seated in Darren’s area, you will not be disappointed.

Gorgeous space. Service is attentive but not fussy. Twin lobster tails excellently prepared. Chilean Sea Bass best ever. Delicate, buttery, and dressed with truffle oil. Excellent cocktails, spirits, and wine selections. We will go back.

Despite a reservation, it took more than 15 minutes to be seated so off to a slow start. Cocktail was also slow but the service was otherwise very good. Shrimp cocktail was better than expected - delivered with flourish. We tried the tuna and the grouper. Both were good. Finished with the butter cake. Yummy. Overall a nice fish place in the London.

We sat at the bar for awhile before our reservation started. The drinks were good and strong. The truffle popcorn was a yummy little snack before dinner. Service was great all around, shout out to James! The lamb chop appetizer was great. I’m not a big calamari fan but my date loved it. I actually enjoyed it as well. We both got the sea bass, it was so good, buttery soft. I enjoyed everything about the evening.

I have dined here several times. Alway have a fish entree. Usually very good. I would recommend fish. Tried the fillet mignon this time. Meat had very grainy consistency and was mostly tendons. Should have sent back for a new entree.

We compare other Ocean Prime locations with New York City. The Chicago location stood up to New York amazing reviews. Charles was outstanding making our experience not only top notch but also fun! Only suggestion is to offset the valet cost which as of 1 July is now $25.

I absolutely loved my experience at Ocean Prime. I was celebrating a birthday with a friend and we both enjoyed the delicious food and drinks! The sea bass, scallops, and oysters were splendid and I highly recommend all of them. We dined in early, so we ordered from the early bird menu as well as the dinner menu (best of both worlds) and by the end of the meal, we were stuffed! The service was outstanding. Our server was incredibly attentive and should I return, I would request him again.

My server Mercedes was phenomenal. From start to finish her service was exceptional! The food was so good. I got the Blackened Snapper and I ate it all, like clean the plate, LMAO😂. The steam/sorte vegetables complimented it so well. The atmosphere was elegant, quiet and our seating room was spacious . I liked the mood lighting and leather curved chair. I will definitely be coming back and it is easily one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago. First impression are the most important. I was thoroughly impressed!

It was our first time to Ocean Prime so we were not certain what to expect. I'm pleased to say that menu had many items, especially seafood but also steaks. The quality of every item we had was very high and the server was prompt and friendly. We dined al fresco because the weather was perfect and they have this area nicely blocked off with plants and shrubs to keep you separated from the street noise. The main dining room is dark and rich looking. The cocktails and wines were quite nice too. We will certainly return.
