Had a terrific meal once again this year. This will become one of our must-eats when visiting Clearwater. The food and service are incredible. Reasonably priced for the quality and experience.
Best meal we had in Clearwater Beach! Great seafood and cocktails. Order the Fortune Cookie dessert! It’s super fun to eat and delicious.
We had a wonderful experience. The food is outstanding and our server was amazing. It’s a beautiful restaurant and you watch the kitchen working. I highly recommend them. On our trip to Clearwater FL this was our favorite restaurant. 10+ stars for them.
Incredible food. Great service. Beautiful room. Highly recommended. It’s pricey but you get what you pay for. After eating beach bar food all week it was great to get a top notch meal. Stayed at the bar following dinner and had a great time meeting fellow travelers.
This place really isn’t worth the hype. It’s a beautiful restaurant with friendly staff and that’s about it. Our crab Rangoon were overlooked and did not taste of crab, at all. I’ve had better at a Chinese restaurant. The miso soup, too salty and not even hot. It was lukewarm and had all these extra things in it like they were trying to make it better but it made it worse. They put baby corn in it...gross. The only good thing we had was our entrees, my husband had the tuna sashimi and nigiri sushi. I had the volcano roll and both sushi entrees were excellent. They also have us a “Happy Anniversary” dessert which was nice of them. I heard the ramen was good, but we won’t bother coming back, not worth the money.
Alex was great
Food was excellent. Raul our waiter was attentive. Definitely coming back here next time I'm in Clearwater!
Atmosphere and food was great. Highly recommend
Excellent food but our server was not too friendly. He seemed annoyed and came over only couple of times. 🤷♀️Sushi is always fresh. The restaurant is very good accommodating for multiple allergies.
Service was great and the good was very good. The salmon was the best!
The Kaiseki is not that. It’s just a chefs tasting of items off the menu. Salad is not part of a Japanese meal btw. The chef did not come to our table until we asked; he was very nice but admittedly “self-trained” and in the crummy seat they gave us for our special occasion dinner, we could see him expediting, not cooking. Overall a big disappointment, and expensive.
Go to Sekushi instead.
Our waiter was terrible. We didn’t get our drinks for over a half hour and when food was brought to the table no one came to check on us or ask us if the food was ok. After hearing the hype of this place and the cost I definitely hope they change their service. Complete let down for our last night in Clearwater.
This was our second visit and it did not disappoint. Fresh seafood, I recommend the calamari for an appetizer. The views are gorgeous and great service. For dessert we had the summer peach, which was like a deconstructed peach streusel. Ummmm yes! We will be back to try their chefs table. Highly recommend!
Food and service was great! The waiter was extremely helpful and courteous.
The atmosphere was great but the food was garbage. Wife got the chicken and it was dry and season-less, had no flavor at all. Her dish also came with noodles which tasted like over cooked ramen noodles. I had the grouper. The grouper was over cooked and dry as well, with rice and the rice was cooker ok but again, no flavor. Drinks were watery.
The only thing good about this restaurant was its location. Overlooking the beach and a great sunset view. If all you want is a view, check them out but I would avoid the food. Not good at all.
Good was awesome. A bit pricey, but great food and ambiance
Everything was excellent!
We ordered the six course Kaiseki. Nothing about that meal was Kaiseki, which originates from Japan and has an artistic, seasonal and philosophical grounding. It was a prix fixe meal of “Asian fusion” which was poorly executed even for that label. First course of salmon nigiri was good. But the burnt tofu and baby corn out of a can in the miso soup was sad. Even worse was having an “Asian Cesar salad” with ramen type crumbled noodles or wontons as described by our server—for 3rd third course. Nothing about the meal felt like it was locally sourced or related to what was seasonal or even crafted as a cohesive meal. It was fine average food if you’re looking for an Applebee’s type meal of multiple courses. Our server said that people that order Kaiseki get different things at different tables and the chef mixes it up as he goes. Which would be fine if it was really inspired and beautifully done, but it was definitely not. It felt like a random mishmash that wasn’t even very tasty. There was a good Gojucqhong sauce on the grouper fourth course but this insipid pilaf was awkward. And then a pork dish with some kind of sweet potato and carrots; the pork was dry. The dessert was a weird saffron gingerbread chocolate type thing. Then have frozen mochi ice cream’s. Which I like the mochi ice cream but that’s straight out of a box.I should’ve known $75 could not be the right price point for a quality 6 course meal. Things weren’t terrible but they weren’t particularly tasty either. It just became comical. I told the server please don’t call this Kaiseki because it ruins it for anybody who’s unfamiliar with it and they would never do it again or it would disrespect the Buddhist underpinnings and something that centuries old
We did the chef’s special dinner with drink pairings. Everything was wonderful! 😃
So delicious and a great view. I hate the airline chicken and it was cooked perfectly.
The best Sushi in town!!
Super food and service. Extensive drink menu. The fortune cookie desert was amazing.
Food was not great/good at all. Got one of their most popular dishes(grouper) and it was just okay. Most things under-seasoned or just okay…. For the price not great at all. Probably worth it to venture Away from beachfront or hotel dining
Very nice hotel restaurant: roasted pepper topped crisp calamari, nicely crusted moist pork meatballs and tasty Cali crunch roll let you know, you were in for an above average experience; beautifully presented and delicious surf craft cocktails, sake and desserts that didn’t disappoint; all capably served.
The food was a disaster. The oysters were frozen. Four different plates were ordered and all 4 lacked taste. Even, my glass of Shiraz taste had a sour taste.
Ps : they didn’t charge us for the oysters.
Overall really disappointing
The staff was super friendly and nice, our waiter was awesome. The food was delicious and we didn’t have to wait long . I would highly recommend going for dinner. It was my husbands birthday and they made a special desert for him
We were staying at the Wyndham Grand where the restaurant is located so we decided to try it, We were pleased, the food and service were both very good, We had a memorable dinner enjoying a great view of the sunset over the gulf.
This restaurant is a hidden gem. Top notch everything, from ambiance to service to food. Wish it was in my neighborhood so I could put it in my restaurant rotation. The salmon was crazy delicious.
We were celebrating 19 years married. Beautiful place with top notch service!
Great Service! Food was Spectacular!
Great! Everything about it is great.
Very good food and ambience!!
Server Brody was great. Very friendly and efficient. Food was great. Atmosphere is spectacular.
We went for Mother’s Day Brunch and it was just over priced in my opinion.
My husband and I came here for dinner while on vacation and had a wonderful experience. The restaurant is modern and trendy. It’s perfect for a date night, but I wouldn’t bring kids. The cocktails are delicious, and the food is fabulous. We started off with edamame and the meatballs, which were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. We ordered the seafood pad Thai and the chicken. I would highly recommend ordering seafood here because it’s so fresh and you can’t go wrong with grouper. I loved all of the complex flavors and use of seasonal vegetables.
Very accommodating staff especially during covid times and a toddler.
Our meals were just average. I had seafood pad Thai and the seafood was overcooked with a strong fishy odor and taste. The peach dessert was awful. Probably would not return. The restaurant is very pretty though.
Date night here on vacation. 10/10. Can’t wait to come back.
Waygu beef and peppers appetizer was very tasty and nice portion. Sushi was very good. We had two craft cocktails (lychee martini and Japanese Old Fashioned) which were excellent. Great view of sunset - request a window table!
Sushi and lobster rice was very good. Very noisy outdoor seating. Waitress was excellent.
