   Best early dining special ever. Food and service was amazing.. Loved the grouper and my husband really enjoyed his fisherman’s platter but the fried green tomatoes were exceptional. Everything was so good I made another reservation for later in the week while still at the restaurant! Michael, our waiter made our experience special.

   We like to go there from 5-6:00 to get there buy one, get one entrée. Everything is fabulous! I have had their fish of the day and their filet, and they are both wonderful!

   Waiter was subpar, never introduced himself, did not tell us anything about the menu or specials, did not ask if we'd been there before or if we were celebrating a special occasion. We had to ask for a dessert menu. It was a disappointing was to celebrate our milestone birthdays.

    Everything was excellent. My only complaint of the evening was the very loud noise level which was the result of two large parties near our table. We very much enjoyed the entertainment.. when we could actually hear it (we were seated by the fish tank .. so not too far away)

    Excellent Dining! Enjoyed the fresh char grilled oysters. They were a little small, but very tasty. Pomadoro with shrimp and scallops with fresh tomato sauce served over pasta was not disappointing. The fresh grouper was outstanding. Cooked to perfection with just the right amount of sauce and toasted almonds. Key lime pie was a great ending to our delectable meal. Our waiter Brett was outstanding and very personable in providing excellent service. Garden room is a little noisy, but a great option for dining. More plants and lighting ambiance could be added to garden view. We hope to return on future trips and ask for Brett.

    Overall a great experience. Going at 5:00 allowed us to participate in 2 for 1 pricing. We definitely enjoyed the calamari appetizer and our entrees. grouper almandine with fresh vegetables. Crab and corn chowder was seasoned uniquely but tasty. Key lime pie did not disappoint. Plan on at least 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours to dine. The noise level in garden room is a bit loud at times due to other patron conversations. External gardens could be enhanced with additional plants and lighting. Will definitely return.

    The service was slow by Ocean Club standards and there were only 5 of us. My steak was nowhere as hot as it should have been. My wife’s fish was overcooked and chewy and the side dish of potatoes appeared to have been microwaved. Cocktails were very good. Server was pleasant but kitchen must have been behind as I said causing delays to the table. I am very sad because I was the one who recommended your restaurant to the other 3 table guests . A sign to me was no one took home leftovers. Sorry folks, not your finest hour.

    Great service, reservations are a must. If you have a chance to meet Brooke at the bar, ask her to make your favorite—you will not be disappointed! Great for special occasions or that random Tuesday!

    Not happy with the Valentine’s Day menu. I booked reservations 2 weeks ahead and no mention of the special menu. The food was good, but disappointed I couldn’t order what I really wanted. If you have a specific menu for certain days it should be on your website.

    Food was geared more toward bland taste pallets. Flat mushy green beans. I had a mud pie brownie for dessert it was so frozen I couldn’t even break up the crust or scoop the ice cream. Service (it wasn’t busy) left appetizer dishes on the table, we had to push them aside for the server to set our main dish down. They were never cleared. Ended up with a two top with dirty plates all over it. For the caliber of restaurant this was represented as, it wasn’t.

    We made a reservation for Friday night expecting music entertainment according to their website calendar. There was none. Food was good but you can get better for the price at other restaurants in Destin area.

    Everything about this restaurant was wonderful EXCEPT the hostess at the door. She was rude, said she hated being rushed to open, ( we were there at 4:55 ). I would suggest she come to work earlier and be prepared with a more warm greeting since she is the first person you come in contact with. She is blonde, tall and slender, well dressed, about 55, and extremely unpleasant to a new customer! The people waiting with us ( about 20 ) were very pleasant, laughing and talking strangers, standing in the area under the awning in the pouring rain. There were no excuses for her behavior. The rest of the experience was excellent.

    I am a snowbird and have heard about your Sunday evening 2 for 1. Another couple and I decided we had to try it. We also go to church while in Destin where Treva and the sax player sing and play for worship service. The food was so good and we really enjoyed the entertainment.

    Early dining deal means the place is crowded with people getting in on the half price entrees, so it is very busy between 5 and 6 PM, and therefore slow service and noisy. Our wait person was particularly confused and slow and messed up the bill when it finally did arrive. You may have better luck!

    We love eating at Ocean Club. This is the first time that things were not perfect. My grouper dinner did not have enough sauce on the grouper, thus the grouper was dry . Also one of our orders was with white Alfredo sauce but they served red sauce instead. Waiter went back to kitchen but came back to our table and said they couldn’t give us what we ordered. I expect and hope in the future we have perfect experiences at O. C. Sam

    We took our daughter there for her birthday at 6:30 on a Wednesday. Restaurant was very busy, and we had a little wait on our entrees, but our waiter, Sean, was great at communicating and the pace was fine. Food and service was good, and the atmosphere was upbeat and lively. Great band, people dancing, and everybody was enjoying themselves. We’ll be back.
