   We were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. We went looking for a local vibe and fare and got both. Restaurant patrons ranged from prom goers all the way to late retirees and everything in between. There was a live band on Friday night that kept the dance floor packed while we enjoyed the fresh fish and cocktails.

   Overpriced for an average meal - even at buy 1, get 1/2 off 2nd entree. No veggies, just meat & potato (ordered filets). $5 up charge for a baked potato, which I had to order since gluten free. Maybe I could have substituted veggies, but server didn’t help. We were done and out within 30 minutes, so service was fast.

   The asparagus with crab was excellent. The steak was incredibly tender. We didn’t realize that there was an early dining discount. Buy one entree and get the other half price.

   We were there for Easter so there was a limited menu but the food and service were outstanding. The Scampi is hands down the best I’ve ever had, the sauce was so light and flavorful. The crab and shrimp were delicious as was the Pompano! Highly recommend.

   Don't pass on this great restaurant. We visited it based on a recommendation from a friend. When we get back in town we will definitely thank him for it. The food was so good. We had the special appetizer and main dish for the evening based on our server Caleb's recommendation. Wonderful!!! It is pricey but in my opinion worth it!!!

   We were going for nice dinner but Wednesday nights is more loud party night. Band was good with very lively atmosphere but if you’re looking for quiet fancy dinner don’t go on Wednesday. Service slow and inattentive guessing because so crowded

   Excellent restaurant for our first night in Destin. Grouper was outstanding as was the stake and chicken. This restaurant never disappoints. Impeccable service and a beautiful ambience round out perfection

   The restaurant advertised that they have a band that performs every Friday night. This is the SOLE reason we made our reservation for the night that we did. We get there and no music, no band. The food was good. But service is slow. We waited almost 30 minutes just to pay our bill and we had long been finished with dinner. Disappointing experience for what we were expecting.

   Fish and meat were great. Ambience was very pleasant. Server was attentive and polite but not well informed about menu or drinks. Mean with vegetables, which could easily and cheaply correctly. No such thing as al dente here. Broccoli was over cooked and soggy and asparagus was softer than it should be. A baked potato with openly obvious bad sections in it was inexplicable served without being noticed during plating or by the server. It was changed without question but it was inexcusable. Nevertheless, if we were in the region again we would welcome visiting this restaurant again if only for relief from the breaded or battered fried food all the other local restaurants seem to offer.

    With the new change implemented at Ocean Club for early dining from 5-6 pm, the food quality of our grouper was poor, very fishy smelling and the portion was small. Not given a choice of potato and vegetable was also a smaller portion. Server did not communicate when it was ordered that the appetizer order was shrimp and scallops. We understood it to be just scallops so quite a surprise when the app was delivered with shrimp. Luckily, my wife ate the shrimp as I don't eat shrimp. I ordered a desert to take home which I thought was bread pudding. When I opened up my desert at home I was surprised to find it was key lime pie and not bread pudding. All in all, our dining experience was extremely poor. The evening began with us not being seated at a table I had requested (was told the table I requested was given to owners friends who would be dining), next an app served was not what we expected, next grouper which was small and didn't seem fresh, very fishing smelling, had to chose either a starch or a vegetable and not served both, and incorrect desert was truly an extremely poor dining experience. We live in the area, have enjoyed dining at Ocean Club numerous times over the years but will certainly NOT be dining any longer at this restaurant.
