My partner and I were curious about this new restaurant and decided to try. We normally go to Vino Santos when downtown but liked the Ocean restaurant. His take was that it is Mediterranean or something. The service was very good and the food was good. I had the scallops served with a garlic butter sauce, wonderful. He had salmon and noted no sauce for the salmon. Also, the colors of the restaurant are oceanic blues and greens which was a nice touch. Overall, I would return, partner maybe not. He prefers a cozy traditional atmosphere. Of course, those restaurants are getting more difficult to find,

Great big menu with lots of choices but the crab cake quality was not great. The seafood mix was good but salty. The wedge is delicious and huge The ambience is stark and not warm The service is very good and you do get warm bread. I was hoping it would be a little better

I had the lunch cioppino and it was delicious with a bit of spice to it. Also had the very tasty mixed seafood plate with guajillo sauce which also was spicy but that was expected. Both are an excellent value at lunch. Service was superb.

The food was delicious. We had shrimp ceviche (could use a little more heat), crab sandwich, oysters, prawns Jamalya (great sauce), and cioppino which was outstanding. Definitely will come back again. Our waiter was very knowledeable and gave good suggestions. Highly recommend.

We were disappointed with our dinner at OCEAN! We made our reservation & was seated in the front bar! I did not like eating dinner in the bar so receptionist brought us to the side eating area. We were the only 2 in the large room. I finally made our soup order which took 10 minutes to get! We were disappointed that grilled prawns on on the computer menu but not served in the restaurant. I ordered salmon… nope only had farm raised! So I ordered fresh halibut. Finally arrived at our table..bottom of my fish was VERY over cooked so fish was dry. Fresh veggies were wonderful! Asked for more bread & butter as we only got 3 small slices for the 2 of us! By the time bread arrived we were fished with our meal. Will we return…I don’t think so! Not happy & very disappointing!

Service really needs help. They had a lot of people there, but basically one guy seemed to be responsible for taking orders, adding silverware, refilling water, and everything else. There were two runners vaguely involved at a few points, but only minimally. It made everything really slow and it just does not work--especially at this price point. Food was solid.
