Thoroughly enjoy Ocean & Acre. The decor is stunning, food and service is sophisticated, yet casual.
Service was great. Our server was amazing. Food was great
The food and drinks were delicious. The open air atmosphere was amazing. It’s in a space where you can eat inside or outside and people watch. The waiter seemed a bit nervous and not so outspoken but he took care of us nonetheless.
Love the atmosphere, beautiful patio. Food was very good and the house oysters were amazing. This is one of my favorite spots OTP.
Great food !! Service was good especially how busy they were ! Drinks are the best !!
Everything was very good! I'm not huge on seafood but the other 3 in my party love it and said everything was SO good - grouper special and gazpacho were big hits!
I had the Summer Salad - it was ok, nothing special, especially for the price $12 for a few greens, 4 grapes and a tablespoon of nuts - chicken would have been great! Bummed that the Roasted Beet salad was not on menu - but online it was ON the menu and that is what I had planned to order!
Drinks were pretty good! And our server was very nice- nothing above and beyond but very cordial and friendly!
I'm sure we will be back at some point since we just moved in across the street!!
Fabulous meal & service! Can’t wait to return! Salmon was incredible as was fresh-catch grouper
We went here for an early dinner/drinks on our staycation. The oysters were so good and so was the lobster rolls. I had a drink—Farmers Straw or something like that, with celery juice. It was soooo good! I will definitely return!
Our server, Catherine/Katherine was phenomenal. Food is great
The atmosphere was nice. The service was great. The cocktail I had was delicious. I feel some of the food items were over-fried and greasy, like the hush puppies and sides for the snapper. Mine were hard. I would expect better from a restaurant seeking to be higher end, like this one is.
Excellent food. Outstanding interpretations. Fair selection of wines and draft beers. Nice outdoor patio.
A little pricey and not the most varied menu but pretty good. Did t like the fried shrimp happy hour appetizer.
It was wonderful! Loved all of it. The waitress wished my husband a happy birthday & even brought out complimentary dessert with a sparkler.
The restaurant is very nice, the food was good, but the staff was not friendly at all.
The service was great and the food was tasty. The music was far too loud and the choices on the playlist were obnoxious. We would not choose to eat here again because we didn’t enjoy the ambience.
The overall experience was not good. The server seem to be inexperienced everything was delivered on top of each other we were out of there in 45 minutes. The music was extremely loud for a restaurant seemed more like a nightclub. The food was average. Would not recommend
The food was exceptional! Wonderful outdoor seating area and wonderful service! Be sure to try the Key Lime creme brulee!
Very good authentic sea food
Crab legs were terrible. Service was mediocre. The rest of the meal was also just ok.
Great food and service. Our server Abbey did a wonderful job and was very helpful. We will be back.
I would have given a 5 star if the lobster roll wasn’t so rubbery. Everything else was excellent.
Food was too expensive to be as bland as it was and our server was not personable at all. Probably won’t be returning, which is a shame because we really liked the atmosphere and setup.
We ordered curbside PU during COVID and were delighted by an impressive presentation and delicious meal. Unfortunately this dine in experience did not live up to that expectation. While the atmosphere was very nice and service very good, the food was neither. Several items were not as described on the menu and food was bland. Our table ordered Grouper/Catch of the Day, Gulf Snapper and Burger and no one was impressed. Caesar salad was possibly the worst I have ever had. Overall we did not feel the meal was worth the money. I am hopeful they will improve and maybe just need to iron out the kinks after COVID.
Service was incredibly slow. They were out of our first choice in wine. Food arrived almost an hour after we sat down (and we did not drag around waiting to order). French fries with the burger were ice cold and the portion on the catch of the day looked to be half sized compared to other restaurants in the area.
Great evening, would have preferred servers still wearing masks through the restaurant.
Overall I’d say the staff needs more training - or need to seek more experienced staff. I give most credit for trying though. They just seemed over their heads. Not because it was busy but just because they lack the experience or training needed to work in a nicer establishment. It was if most staff we encountered had just come from Starbucks or Applebee’s as their recent hospitality credentials. The waiter hadn’t a clue what Patron is. The bartender was clearly not equipped to knock out beverages for a moderately busy crowd. The hostess kept her composure but she too seemed a bit overwhelmed. Again I’ll point out we thought the were all trying their best - just aren’t trained up sufficiently.
The most off putting incident was when we first arrived - a staff member (cook perhaps?) was loudly cavorting with friends (or other staff drinking at the restaurant off shift). The girls he was chatting with were all obnoxiously drunk at 7pm. And all 4-5 of them were yelling and screaming and twirling each other around right in the reception area of the restaurant. There’s no reason for this - and doubly inexcusable that a staff member was participating in and encouraging it.
TERRIBLE service. Server very inattentive, told us he was having a bad day. Cocktail was terrible, not crafted as ordered. Server did not keep water glasses full, did not clear table. Food was unremarkable. I live in Halcyon and will never eat there again.
Great food and outstanding service. Will definitely dine again
We chose Ocean & Acre as the place to celebrate our anniversary. I ordered the steak frites & my husband ordered the lobster roll. My fries weren’t any better than something you’d get at a cheap counter service burger joint. The steak was small, overcooked & looked like it had been sitting under the heat lamp for a minute. My husband said his roll was mostly bread & wasn’t buttered enough anyways. We both left still hungry. Absolutely not worth a $60 pre-tip bill for a 2-person dinner.
Service was good. The girl was nice but we sat with empty plates for quite a while before they were cleared & we were given our check.
In terms of the environment, we decided to sit outside because the music inside seemed really loud. We were then put directly under the patio speaker, which seemed a little defeating but overall, the patio was nice, visually pleasing, & comfortable. This visual piece of the patio atmosphere was honestly the only redeeming feature of our experience.
We probably won’t be back, unfortunately.
Very loud but very fun casual yet more upscale than pub across the way Unique menu options Very fresh and flavorful
Met our friends for an early dinner with drinks & appetizers. Great experience all around!
Great food, bad service. Need a lot of training. Place looks nice but staff not and management not very well knowledgeable
Positive experience. Bryan our waiter was great. Food, overall service and atmosphere also great. Prices very reasonable.
Service is very inconsistent during a visit. It took almost 10 minutes for the server to first come to our table. We had an issue with the appetizer. We ordered six oysters, three of one kind and three of another. They were served to us about 5 minutes apart. It seemed a bit odd. The rest of the service was very good.
Great ambiance open and airy high ceilings. Food was hot and carefully portioned. Salads too a long time with no dressing on Caesar. Server was too busy to clear salad plates. Lots of flys from open doors and table food.
We were celebrating graduation and enjoyed the Resteraunt’s atmosphere. Great music snd open seating. The food tasted good. My scallops were yum. The value for the price is off. I had 3 scallops for $24. They need to step up on service as well. The kids work hard, but need to be trained better.
Food was wonderful and our server KaMonte (could be spelled wrong) was excellent. Looking forward to going back.
While the food was extremely flavorful with beautiful presentation, the noise level made it extremely difficult to carry on a conversation. Everyone had to talk loud enough to be heard over all the conversations around you coupled with the music making it more like a night club than a restaurant. When we ordered dessert the waitress only brought two when we had asked for 3 but that was probably because of the noise. When I made reservations, I had mentioned that it was a birthday celebration...but there was no acknowledgement or attention to the birthday celebration while we dined. In closing the food was EXCELLENT and each us enjoyed the dishes we ordered.
