   The food was amazing! The view and ambience were excellent. I loved it so much I am going back again for my birthday dinner. I would highly recommend this to anyone as a place you must eat at while on St Martin!

   We picked up 2 friends from a cruise ship, one was a photographer who wanted to get a picture from under the old pier. The staff at Ocean 82 was very accommodating, patient and friendly! Enjoying great wine and food in an unforgettable atmosphere with the soft sound of the ocean literally beside you is a memory none of us will forget.

   A Family dinner. Our only complaints were that our lobster was dry and the room away from the water was very warm with little airflow. The service was good. The view of the water was nice. The prices are high.

   We ordered lobster bisque, fois gras, escargot and frog legs to start. Escargot were to die for, so were frog legs! I recommend being adventurous and trying them here if you never have before. Save your bread for the leftover butter and sauces on your plate. For entrees, we got the stuffed chicken, seafood pot, and the scallops. Everything we ordered was amazing! For dessert, we had the special of the day, as well as crème brûlée and a scoop of raspberry sorbet. All tasted fantastic, crème brûlée was a winner here. Service, ambiance, SETTING WAS AMAZING. Only downsides were they ran out of the snapper and mint for mojitos 😭, and the scoop of sorbet was miniscule. WONDERFUL meal otherwise, the best meal I have had in a VERY long time!

   From the beginning to the end, the service was very good. The quality of the food was excellent and the presentation of the dishes were done well. We celebrated my birthday there with a big group and the staff was accommodating and friendly. I would recommend this resturant to anyone.

   We had another wonderful dining experience here. We had one of the tables on the cantilevered deck over the waves. Stunning. Understandably, but inconveniently, they pack in the customers like sardines, so you’re shoulder-to-shoulder. It’s a trade-off. We’ll be back. A great restaurant, with or without the view.

   Ocean 82 was exactly like everyone said - exceptional food, location and service. Incredible location right on the water with breathtaking sunsets. It was hard to select from this menu due to everything sounding delicious! I had tuna tataki, which was lightly seared with yummy veggies and a great sauce. Hubby had braised lamb shank which he finished down to the bone. For dessert, we had the Grand Marnier souffle which is not to be missed. It was the perfect restaurant to celebrate our anniversary.

    We were celebrating my husbands birthday which I put on with my reservation. I even told the girl who seated us that we celebrating she asked his name. I was a little disappointed that he wasn’t given a free dessert. Which I thought that was the purpose I guess not. But we have been to many restaurants where they do acknowledge the celebration.

    We have been to Saint Martin several times. This is absolutely one of the best meals we ever have had. We started with a lobster bisque that was creamy and delicious. I had scallops topped with duck carpaccio in a foie gras sauce. My wife had a tuna steak that was melt in your mouth. The Grand Mariner soufflé for dessert was one of the best we have ever had as well. An excellent bottle of wine complimented the entire meal. The wait staff staff was friendly, informative and attentive. Do yourself a favor and booked this restaurant.

    This was our favorite restaurant in SXM prior to Irma. Against my better judgement of hearing poor reviews from others here now, we kept our reservations anyway. So disappointed. The hostess was rude, the tables were packed entirely too close together, the prices were above average, and the meal was way below average. So sad. It’s a beautiful setting but we won’t be back.

    From the person who greeted us throughout the entire dinner, the staff was incredible. The food was fantastic and the view couldn't be better. This is a place for a romantic dinner or with your traveling companions.

    Very disappointing dining experience. Chaotic and unorganized. Half the tables cocktails were delivered and the other half took 20 minutes. Out of 2 fish dishes at 7pm and wrong check delivered at end. There are many much better restaurants in St. Martin. Would not return.

    Since we discovered Ocean 82 before Covid, we always want to return. Popular - which sometimes means you have to wait - but the food is well worth it. Always the best meal I have on the island. Great view, excellent service. We'll be back again and again. Merci

    Arrived on time for our reservation. Several couples came in after us and were all seated prior to us so we were waiting quite awhile. When we asked the hostess what was up with that she became very hostile and yelled at us. Most of all her body language and posture were just horrible. She could have just explained what she was doing which was totally understandable however she unleashed all of her frustration and hate on to us. She earned the nickname hostile hostess. She unfortunately set the tone for our stay. We tried to brush it off however she was clearing tables around us a little later violently with a fury. We couldnt escape her bad mood. Not the ambience you are looking for on valentines. We did speak to the manager. He was great. But he did say “what do you want me to do? Fire her right now?”. mmm yeah maybe. Grilled Lobster was delicious. The serving staff were pleasant. The bartender however didnt know how to pour a neat whiskey which was weird as that should be the simplest drink to make but they charged us for both even though they shook them and watered good whiskey down. By the time the wait staff comes back around and tries to fix it then its quite the wait when we are trying to cheers to no avail. Three times they messed up the whiskey order. Once got it right. Phewf. too much work for a neat whiskey. Open the bottle. Pour. Should be easy. Molten lava cake - we seemed to be missing the “cake” part. Nice views nice staff except for hostile hostess lady man she was the worst! Its true. One bad apple does spoil the bunch. We wont return. There was no discount applied for the nasty hostess nor the multiple whisky mess ups or that we had to order two desserts because the molten lava cake had no cake. My husband paid about $350 bucks for us to be treated badly and not acknowledged that something should be done to rectify the multiple fails.

    Ocean 82 was an absolutely beautiful venue overlooking a picturesque Carribean sunset. The hosts were pleasant and welcoming. Service was lacking, we waited close to 30 for drinks, to order food and again 30 minutes trying to gather attention for the bill. Once ordered the food came in a reasonable timeframe. The duck pate was a delight and worth mentioning. Although there was nothing spectacular to follow. The sole special wasn't bad nor was it something I would rave about. Vegetables that accompanied could have been steamed from frozen and been equally satisfying.

    Restaurant is beautiful, high end and the bar is excellent. There for an anniversary date. Food was okay. Braised lamb shank was really gamey. Sole Meunière sauce was not what we expected having had the dish in France several times. Servers were too few. So much so that no one really had time to go over any specials or speak about the menu. It was quite a feverish pace to get food in and out. That in itself took away from our premium seat with gorgeous views of the water front and mountains in the background. I may give this venue another try as friends we met in Saint Martin recommended the place. Maybe just short staffed or having an off night. It happens.

    This was our second dining experience at Ocean 82. First, the positives: extraordinary view and really good food. Once the restaurant fills up, it is quite loud and difficult to hear people at your own table. As a table we ordered 3 courses: apps, mains, dessert. Once we completed the apps, we waited 20-30 minutes for our plates to be cleared. It was the same after the mains. The wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable, so I am believing they were understaffed for the size of the restaurant and the number of guests. The place certainly had an energetic vibe, but we prefer a more intimate experience.

    Eating while looking at the waters of Grand Case beach, absolutely beautiful! The service and personal were phenomenal. My only complaint would be for the price point, the food could be better compared to other upper level restaurants in Grand Case.

    I got excited coming to another Ocean restaurant for my birthday and we arrived as scheduled. To my disappointment we waited more then an hour to get seated. We ordered some drinks at the bar while waited and promised that will be on the house that never happened..only a small discount that did not cut it. I had to chase the waiter to place an order and I got rushed to order…. The food was good but I did not enjoyed it because what happened. Very disappointed.

    Party of 4, arrived on time for our 6 PM reservation. Glad we ate them, as the restaurant was full by 6:30. Noise level a bit high but not terrible. With the exception of the vegetable sides, food was to die for. Veggies were cold and overcooked. Minor issue because everything else was superb. We shall return.

    Ocean 82 was recommended by our concierge- coming from Les Terres Basses we had to drive through a few rough neighborhoods to get to this place which is on a very narrow but popular street in Grand Case-thankfully we had taken a cab because parking would have been difficult. We were greeted warmly by the hostess who checked us in but we ended up standing in the front for at least 25 minutes before being seated despite having a reservation. They did give us a complimentary champagne cocktail while we waited which was nice. Once seated we were very happy as our table was a good one, overlooking the lit up ocean and the lights of Anguilla. very nice views even in the dark. It was very busy and it was a little confusing as many different people came to our table to take our orders-one for drinks, one for apps, a different one for entrees . Im sure they work as a team-just wasn't sure who our server was. The appetizers were delicious- I had tuna spring rolls and my husband had lobster bisque. It was a while before our main course came- I had a special surf and turf and he had beef tenderloin-both meats had a very heavy brown sauce-the morel mushroom sauce- that I did not really love but it was all good. we had a molten lava cake for dessert and espresso- all in all a very nice meal -topped off with a complimentary shot of their famous rum -very nice touch
