Try a brick oven pizza at Ocean 302 Bar & Grill. Specialty pizzas.
Some items were a bit salty for our taste. Drinks were fab and so was service. Will be back for the crab soup for sure!!
Food and service were perfect. I highly recommend the salmon. Delish. I do miss the truffle love pizza though.
This restaurant has unfortunately gone down hill. The cheese on the pizza tasted old and the roasted vegetables were completely charred beyond being edible. The fish and chips had very thick breading with barely a piece of fish inside. The airline chicken was very tough and chewy. Disappointing because it used to be a top notch restaurant.
Very interesting ambiance; half sports bar and half fine dining. I loved everything about the level of service and the menu selections and can't wait to go back to try more appetizers and specials!
We were excited to try the October Flavor menu but ended up ordering off the regular menu. We were so pleased with what we had, such great value and the service was impeccable! Overall love the new menu and can’t wait to return to try what exciting creations the new chef has in store.
Service was outstanding. Highly recommend the crab bisque. The salmon was fresh, cooked to perfection and flavored just right.
We were disappointed with the service. It was a long time between visits from our waitress. Also our meals were not prepared as requested. My medium rare was medium well and my wife’s medium well was medium rare. And all we got was a half hearted apology from the manger. Saying they were busy.
My first time at your place, and my wife and I can’t wait to see you again soon!!!! Everything was great and there was absolutely nothing to be upset with......even the bill was a surprise..... could have been double without any problem!!!! Thanks again see you soon!!!!
Très bonne table avec un large choix de plats et une bonne carte des vins.
Un peu cher mais la qualité des produits est là.
Ambiance musicale 80'/90'.
Merci beaucoup :)
Often my husband and I like to share so we thoroughly enjoyed by splitting the Grilled Octopus, perfectly done, Caesar salad, nicely dressed, and a delicious Burger with Pancetta, Gorgonzola, a fried egg which was Decadently rich. Our other friends all seemed to enjoy EVERYTHING they had for dinner.
One of my favorite and regular places. We prefer eating early as it gets a little crowded and hectic later. We prefer dining in booths not the common seating. Food is always very delicious and service very good. I see a batch of bad reviews, but I will tell you my experiences here are always really positive. Not sure how good menu is for kids, but in general I prefer a place without families and kids anyway. All in all one of my favorites. And the pizza is to die for.
We went last night with some friends and the new menu was fantastic. My wife was very hesitant because the old tipsy scallops were her favorite dish in the county and she was blown away by how the new scallop dish is even better. The filet is still arguably one of the best I've ever had and the wet age gives it amazing flavor. The couple we went with was also raving about the burger. Chef Anthony did an amazing job with this menu! We then had drinks afterwards and the new manager mike talked to us for a while. He is really doing a great job and is extremely personable. Lastly, for beer drinkers, their tap list is one of the best in town. I cant recommend this place enough!
Food was good but inconsistent
Have been to Ocean 302 many times always had a great meal, but now with the new menu that may keep us from coming back. I ordered the cauliflower steak, have had this in many restaurants. This was not a cauliflower steak it was chunks of cauliflower with some sort of sauce on it. Very disappointed in this I could have had chunks at home. My wife had the salmon way undercooked and no flavor to it. On the old menu they had a salmon on a plank always was good and cooked just right. Shrimp and grits are gone also from the menu was my favorite. Very disappointed!!!!
The food was very good, and the service and attention to detail with regard to presentation were excellent. Chef Anthony spent a good deal of time conversing with us about how he prepares the food, and the passion that he has for what he does was readily evident. I highly recommend Ocean 302. :)
They have a new chef and a new menu. All off our old favorites are gone. Not a good menu. Chef’s table is also gone.
I certainly would have before they changed the menu . Lots of old faverites no longer on the menu and the new menu is very fussy
Excellent food and service. I would highly recommend!
Service was timely and friendly. Food was prepared very well and all enjoyed their meals. New menu is always a treat to explore.
What a great place! Food was classy and eclectic, yet relatable. The cocktails were well made and delicious. The decor was totally trendy and a great vibe. I went there with my husband for a weekday date night and we saw people with their kids, people who came straight from work all dressed up, couples dressed in shorts, groups of young adults dressed to kill with their night on the town digs on; pretty much all types there. I would love to go on a weekend and see how it is....I can definitely see it becoming a weekend go-to place to hangout with my friends.
They have recently changed executive chefs and the new menu will take some getting used to. Many of the past favorites are gone - very sad. No more "don't poke me" ... are you kidding. Another disappointment I couldn't get steak on a salad. The bar is still the same which is awesome. I'm not sure I will be frequenting 302 as often as I used to.
We have been going there for years , stoped because Chef Pete left. We thought we would try again . It was Friday night , pretty busy and were seated quickly . We recognized some of the staff and said hello . ere was a new We were told that that a new limited menu just started 3 days age but everything was great .
we waiting 15 minutes for a cocktail and ordered when they came . We waited for over an hour for our meal . We asked for the octopus , we were told that it would not be ready until 8p , We asked the waitress twice as she hurried by and told =us we were next . When the meals arrived my was barely warm and the two people that we with me couldn't eat but to to salty . We did tell the waitress but nothing was done . We left a nice tip , took no leftovers ( you would think that would stir some questions ) and will not be back ..
Brought my mom to Ocean 302 to have the kale appetizer and chicken meal that I always enjoy, to find out they are no longer on the menu. Whole menu has changed and is quite limited. Waiter not helpful with info about new menu. Meals were very salty. Use to really enjoy this restaurant. Please bring back old menu or I’m afraid you’ll be losing customers.
Another manager change. Another chef change. Another menu change. All bad. Was good now just so so
We arrived for our 7pm reservation and they were closed. Not a good first impression!
Typically my wife & I have enjoyed our visits to Ocean 302. However, on this occasion (July 4th, 2019) after having received a reservation confirmation plus a reminder from Open Table the previous day (July 3rd) we arrived for dinner 15 minutes early only to discover that Ocean 302 was closed for the entire first week in July. Obviously, since so many other venues were closed for the holiday, our 4th of July plans were a bust. We did happen upon a restaurant employee who apologized for the mix-up and suggested that the Open Table system was to blame. It seems that we cannot always trust that a reservation & remider from Open Table is a firm commitment to be honored by some restaurants... We would recommend Ocean 302 to friends, but best to call the restaurant directly for reservations.
We’ve been before so the quality rating are from then. This time, despite getting reservations through you, it was closed when we arrived.
Food was spectacular
Head chef is the MAN 💪
Will not wait so long before we come back.
Everything we had was absolutely fantastic. The fungi bruschetta, steak, fish, mussels were all great. Wait staff was great. Overall great experience
Been to Ocean 302 many times with great food and great service, but this time was terrible. Took ten minutes just to get water. Order the brie plate for an appetizer that NEVER came. The truffle fries came out instead as the appetizer. After ten minutes I had to go up to our waiter who was chatting with the manager to get my diet coke....
The waiter blamed it on the fact that he had to handle many other issues... That shouldn't be my problem.
After we talked to the manager he came back and apologized and talked about how if you own up to your mistake, you should still get a tip.... Which promptly told me that there was no way he was getting a tip...
The word tip should never have even come up.....
The new strip I asked for medium was raw. It never made it to 155 degrees. Everything was just basic after that. Appetizer was basic, I won’t go back that’s for sure. As for fine dining that’s not the spot I was hearing all the buzz about.
We have been here many times, but this most recent dinner was disappointing. First, they weren’t able to make pizzas because the oven was being cleaned. Who schedules their oven cleaning over Memorial Day weekend? Poor management. Secondly, they could not serve certain dishes because they were “low on vegetables.” This is a Restaraunt next door to AND owned by a grocery store. Ridiculous. Third, our food came out at different times, nearly 15 minute gaps. When we flagged down to the manager (not sure his name, but he had tattoos on both arms) and explained the situation, he looked like a deer in the headlights and was indifferent. Finally, the last entrees came out and my wife’s burger bun was charred to a crisp. When we pointed it out to our waiter (not sure his name, but he had a raspy voice), he joked about it. It was a completely unacceptable experience and I will not be back.
Excellent food. Busy night with service spread a bit thin. Would return.
The food was amazing. The service was amazing. The vibe was great!! Will definitely be back!!!
Great experience for our last night in Fla. My seafood risotto was exceptional. Salads are huge — four of us shared two and still had lots left over. Our local hosts hadn’t heard of Ocean 302 before — they plan to return.
Casual friendly and beautiful, at the beach, with big city quality and value. I go every time I visit Melbourne Beach.
Something has happened, things are different. I don’t know if it’s management or staff, but the excitement is gone. The Chef’s table is a waste because you can never sit there, you can reserve it, but then expect a call giving you a random reason why they can’t accommodate you. The host actually had the nerve to ask us to change OUR plans. Service is way down, I asked what was the issue with the kitchen and our server told us no there one likes the Chef. Wasn’t expecting that response! I think we’ll dine elsewhere until they fix what is broken.
First time we came and it was for Mother's Day. The food and service was great! We will come again!
Four of us visited in the beginning of May, we all walked away knowing we will be back again! My son's girlfriend (let's call her K) is vegan and there was not anything specific on the menu indicating it could be made vegan. Our waitress was very helpful, but she could not really recommend anything specific besides an appetizer that was all veggie. As we were sitting there pondering what K could eat, the executive chef, Anthony, came out to talk to us to see what K liked and disliked! When the meal was presented, it was a gorgeous plate of grilled veggies such as watermelon radish, beansprouts, quinoa, fresh fruit--it looked amazing! The rest of our meals were delicious--my husband and I had fish and my son had the fillet (however, it came out late). At one point Anthony came out to check on us and apologize for the delay in my son's dish--love the personal service and care! This is the type of experience I appreciate! Looking forward to my next trip back to Melbourne so that I can visit Ocean 302 again!
Typically we love 302 but it was just not enjoyable this time.
