Casual, comfortable, great patio!! Drinks (frescas) are awesome!

I was impressed with the look and feel of the new restaurant, but the food was not what we were hoping for. The consensus from our table was that the flavor of each item was OK, but the preparation and presentation was lacking and did not match the upscale vibe of the restaurant.

OC Fresca offer a unique experience, from an octagonal bar to an ocean view terrace. Live music and the ocean breeze and a Fresca Mojito and you feel stress leaving your body.
Don’t take me word for it, try it yourself.

Our server Luis was very helpful with explaining the menu and provided great service. The food was very good. We had the Coconut Shrimp and Salmon Tacos, plus the Classic Guacamole. Good chips and Salsa as well.

This beautiful old building close to Ole Hanson pool and adjacent beach has been refreshed by the new owners, who paneled the walls with recycled wood from their Virginia barn. The restaurant has only been open for a week, so I offer my comments by way of helpful recommendations for this soft opening.

The menu is a work in progress: breadfruit is listed under proteins. Choices ranges across a variety of tropical Mexican items with a surprising corn/avocado dip they call elote and rice bowls topped with well seasoned pork, chicken, or shrimp, etc.. The mango daiquiri prepared behind a wonderful circle bar under the soaring ceiling lacked even a hint of alcohol; interesting beers on draft are available. The old plumbing in both bathrooms needs work as does the training for the waitstaff. Two servers smiling through gritted teeth seemed confused about which had been assigned our table. Neither really knew the menu. A final question: what do the myriad televisions offer to the ambience? Good luck!

They have done a great job redoing this location. I love the big round bar in the middle. Food was pretty good! Tacos were yummy and drinks were good (the fresca drinks seemed a little light on the alcohol though!). Our server, RRRRRRicardo, was a kick! He was helpful, fun and seemed to really enjoy his job! We will be back!

My wife and I saw some online reviews of this new restaurant in neighboring San Clemente so we decided to give it a try last Saturday night. The restaurant just opened so while they are having some teething issues (the hostess seemed very confused by us having reservations), it was a very good experience. Our server, Ricardo, was engaging, knowledgeable and attentive. Two managers (Javier and Pedro) checked in on us to make sure we were happy. The food was good to great... my lomo saltado was very different from any Argentine lomo I've had but it was amazing. My wife's dish (she got a beer battered fish taco and a pork taco) were also really good. We weren't crazy about the slaw, but we stretched our comfort zone to try that anyway. Good beer choices (including local brews like Artifex Trigger Finger) and my wife's mangorita was very good. The only downside is parking is very tight at the restaurant itself. There's street parking and metered parking by the train station though.

Noise level was completely intolerable. Cannot hold a conversation. The menu is quite limited and is just limited Mexican food at a much higher price. (2 Tacos, rice, beans: $20. They list a bunch of beers but only have four. Empanadas are supposed to be a specialty but at 6:15 pm, they had none. Decor is rustic blah, done cheaply. Service was spotty, but the guy was trying. So many good options for better Mexican good in the area.

Lively upbeat atmosphere with large selection of beverages made with fresh juices. Ocean views from the outside patio and live guitar player add to the ambiance. Food was fresh and flavorful with nice selection of mexican inspired dishes

I really expected more. Food was tasty ..Atmosphere out side was Harsh.. Sat under an Umbrella lights way to harsh.. not sure what I expected .. may not return for dinner.. possibly lunch or a drink

Pleasantly surprised. I was unsure how ready they would be on first day. Our server Fallon ( not sure of spelling) was very knowledgeable about menu. She was also very sweet. We had the trio of guac. And their signature Frescas. For dinner we both had Loma Saltado. All the food was very fresh and yummie. During dinner both the host and beverage director came to our table to see how everything was and if we needed anything. As did our sever and busboy. Everyone who worked there was A+. We will definitely be going back.
