Sunday brunch was wonderful! Nice menu choices. Food was delicious! Bottomless Mimosas and Bloody Marys were so yummy! Our server was friendly and attentive. We will be coming back!!!
Had a great time the oysters were excellent and the food was good other than the imperial sauce being to salty and the server was outstanding.
We went on New Years Eve, everything was wonderful! We sat upstairs in the dining room and the room was lovely. We had a window overlooking Annapolis. The food was outstanding and our waitress was very attentive. Definitely going back!
We went for dinner on New Years Eve, I had the crab balls as an appetizer and they were outstanding and Steamed Shrimp was also great. Hubby had a steak, it was good, but not great… overall, it’s a great place to eat and sit by the window so you can watch everyone walking by outside
Tired restaurant, slow service, no ambience, food was just ok. I got my meal 15 minutes before my husband’s mussels. No bread offered. Had to ask for S&P! Place was empty.
We ended a lively day in Annapolis with dinner here. Food was excellent. Seared tuna appetizer FANTASTIC. We will return.
The positive notes were the calamari and the oysters on the half shell. Both of those were very good. The main course of Mac and cheese with fresh crab meat and the stuffed grouper with crab Imperial were both poor at best. The fish was slimy and tasted as it may have been bad.
There are so many good choices in the area, I was very disappointed that I made this choice.
This was a spare of the moment decision outing. This was our first time here so had no expectations. We could not have chosen a better place. Staff was friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable of the menu. Food was prepared timely and was delicious. Despite all rumors of short staffs around everywhere, O’Brien’s is working through it successfully. I cannot speak enough of the enjoyable evening. Thank you again to everyone at O’Brien’s.
Went for brunch. All of the food was tasty. Great service, even though they were busy.
Given the mixed reviews, I was unsure what our experience would be like. We came here the day after Christmas for lunch. The dining room was decorated really nice and not overly crowded at all. The tables were spaced out. Most everyone in our party had the eggs benedict, which were good- though not the best i've ever had. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. All in all, we enjoyed ourselves and would certainly come back!
Our reservation was the last one of the night for our server on Christmas 2021. We didn't get the best service. I sure the server was tired. Will likely give the restaurant another shot to see if this was an anomaly.
Great crab dishes! Especially loved the crab pretzel!
I’m sorry but this was the worst seafood I’ve ever had in my life. Everything we ordered, which was almost everything on the menu, was just disgusting, with the oyster Rockefeller being the worst. Wouldn’t recommend for anyone
Service was off. (Never picked up appetizer plates.) Food was off.
Overpriced, reheated food, minimal atmosphere, noisy. Good waiter though. Johnnie was great. This restaurant could be fantastic, given its location in downtown Annapolis, MD. But it seems the owners are content with it being a bar. Too bad.
There are lots of restaurants in downtown Annapolis and O'Brien's is one of the best. The food quality is excellent and consistent. The service is good and the prices are certainly reasonable. We especially love the Sunday night crab cake specials. Their Maryland Crab Soup is excellent and I'd got there just for that. Recommended.
Good service. Food was fine and reasonably priced.
The food was good, but the service was just fair. Our server put all our food in at the same time so our appetizers & salads came at the same time and our entrees came while we were still eating our appetizers & salads. We literally had to finish eating our salads while holding our salad bowls because there was not enough room on the table for the appetizer, salad & entree plates. If you’re looking for intimate conversation, make sure you are not seated in the dining area that includes the bar. It was very loud.
Great food excellent service
Half of our party was happy with the meals. The other half said it was only ok.
We had a party of 9 which is challenging in Annapolis. They were so accommodating, service was outstanding and the unlimited Mimosa Brunch was perfect! Highly recommend!
Wonderful service. Gran daughter dropped her cup of chocolate milk. it splattered all over. They were quick with a no problem cleanup and replacement chocolate milk. Very Kind and caring! Food was delicious!
Our first stay in Annapolis, and we dined at O’Brien’s the night before Thanksgiving. There was a huge crowd of young people at the bar there for what is apparently one of the big bar nights of the year. However, we were in the separate dining room, so the noise level was very manageable. We had a wonderful server who pushed through the crowd to make sure we were well taken care of. She made excellent wine and food recommendations. We started off with the special—99-cent oysters on the half-shell. Wonderful. For our main courses, we had the very large portion of the sesame tuna and the excellent crab cake dinner. Both were nicely prepared (and kudos on the crispy Brussels sprouts accompanying the crab cake). They let us take our time, even though the place was filling up with people half our ages. Would definitely return.
Great food and wonderful service, highly recommend.
The restaurant had a nice casual ambiance. The food is not fancy but very well prepared. I had a nice time with my family. The server was really polite.
Fun place to go. We had a nice corner table for 4. Food was excellent, but noise level was high. Waiter forgot to bring us a couple of things we asked for, but it was busy that night. It is a good tavern. Seemed to have 2 bars. One in the front and in the back.
We brought the young adult ministry of our church to dinner for our monthly outlying and the food was wonderful, service was excellent.. even for a large party we still received the time and attention we needed. My husband and I will return soon for a date night!
This restaurant was a great choice for a business dinner during the week. There was plenty of room for a larger party and the noise level was just right for conversations. The food was delicious and the service was even better.
They seated us quickly and got us our morning coffee quickly. The food was good, it came pretty fast and we had a lovely time. We were seated near the bar within in view of most of the TV sets and when we sat down the show playing was innocuous but then it became a Vetrinarian show and they started to do surgery on screen. This upset my wife and she asked that the channel be changed. The waiter went to ask the bartender to change the channel and he did not. A second request was made and eventually the channel was changed. The wait staff were very understanding and apologized profusely. Evidently the bartender does not allow anyone else access to the remotes. Of the 15 or so TVs in the bar 10 0f them had been showing that channel. Just not restaurant fare in our opinion.
Highly recommend. Party of two and we were seated right away. Had the large oysters as an appetizer, and the honey glazed salmon with rice and broccolini as the main course. To drink, had the New Fashioned followed by the Dark and Stormy. Everything was delicious, and service was great. Definitely will return.
Eggs Benedict with the mimosa brunch was nicely done! Our party of 9 well taken care of thanks!
Fun atmosphere. Our server was lovely and the manager was very attentive
Outstanding place to eat. Open Table made it easy. Parking garage around the corner with plenty of parking. Amazing specials during the week. Food comes out fast, hot and delicious!
Best crab cakes! The food is always great. The atmosphere is lively and fun.
The food was quite tasty, but the vegetables looked old and hard so we didn’t really try to eat them.
Our service could have been better since we kept asking for things like a cup of ice or extra napkins several times before we got it. Our main waiter sometimes ignored us when we tried to flag him down and he rolled his eyes when we asked for a paper receipt as well.
Overall, although the food was quite good the service we got countered the high tab we paid on our bill.
Good place to get together with old friends. Crab soup and crab stuffed shrimp were delicious.
We were the only people in the dining room. The place was empty with the exception of the bar. The food was okay but our server was not. We ordered 1/2 dozen oysters and he doubled the order. Since we kept them, we were charged but did not want to see them thrown out. When I ordered my sandwich, he automatically said "two?". He would have brought two sandwiches for no reason. The soup was warm, not hot. The fish was greasy in the fish and chips meal. We were there in February 2020 and the food and service was much better, pre-covid so these issues may be covid related. Just disappointed. I might try it again but not anytime soon.
It was a nice place to meet friends for lunch. Nothing outstanding. Service was excellent.
Love the brunch! Always a favorite when visiting Annapolis
