A small locally owned restaurant where great food is paired with great wine.
O’Briens Bistro is one of the few restaurants in Pensacola truly owned and operated by the chef!
Our menu items are just some of the flavor combinations we have created. Our kitchen staff will try to accommodate menu changes or requests you may have. Our goal is if the ingredients are on the pages of our menu, we can cook it your way, well, of course, within reason!
- Surfaces sanitized between seatings
- Common areas deep cleaned daily
- Limited number of seated diners
- Extra space between tables
- Waitstaff wear masks
- Diners must wear masks unless eating or drinking
- Sick staff prohibited in the workplace
Their Sunday afternoon brunch was great! We had an array of different food (crab cakes, cheeseburger, omelet) and all were outstanding.
Another great meal. As always, the food was excellent as was the service.
Food was delicious and service was outstanding. Daniel made the experience with great wine pairing and flavor suggestions.
Food is always excellent, well prepared, diverse and creative. Ambiance is good and it is quiet enough for good conversation. Service is also very good and wait staff appears to be well trained.
I had the Jerk Mahi Mahi with Coconut Risotto...scrumptious! My date had the Stuffed Grouper and enjoyed every bite!
I will say this if u are a long time fan of O"Briens you may be disappointed in the bread pudding as I was..New owner, New recipe.
Food was delicious! Service was great! Can't wait to go back again and try something else, want to try each of the dishes, so far, all are excellent!
Our "go to" restaurant for years... and still is. Special way to celebrate our wedding anniversary, especially in the days of Covid restrictions.
Excellent service from Daniel! Food was wonderful and reasonably priced. We had outdoor seating. Would definitely recommend!
Always great place we love it soup was great
What a great discovery! Had a hard time deciding, it was all good.
The food was excellent as always. Service was okay.
Always great food and service! Never disappointed.
Everything was great, the food is as you liked it.
Excellent as always all the way around!
In town for business overnight.
Chose O'Briens as wanted a locally owned and run restaurant.
Please with the value, and range of choice.
Drinks & food menu a good range.
Service very good - even though we arrived somewhat later in the evening.
Food tasted good, and would return.
The ambiance was a little dated, and took away from the food and service experience.
But, I am pleased to support a local business, and encourage others to do the same!
Easter brunch at O’Brien’s for our party of 5 was perfect. Thank you!!
We heard a lot about this place so decided to try it for Easter lunch. Menu had a lot of selections. The food was average and some of it was not hot. Waiter was very attentive so that was nice. I wouldn't go out of my way to return - just average.
We were rushed out of the restaurant per our server Don N. via the “owner.” We made reservations and everything and wanted to take our time eating our mediocre appetizer (oyster Rockefeller) and drink. The server was in a rush from the time we sat down and we told him it was our first time there. The entire experience was horrible and I wouldn’t eat at this restaurant if it was the last one in Pensacola. Since we were the only black people in the restaurant, we believe we were discriminated against. There were ample booths and tables available, so why would the owner send the server to tell us there was a 1 p.m. reservation at the SPECIFIC booth we were occupying? We don’t appreciate the disrespect received. We do not recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially people of color.
We wanted to eat close to the hospital and found the restaurant in Google maps. All of our food was surprisingly outstanding. I live in Nashville where they have a lot of great chefs. The food we had was on par with anywhere I've eaten and the price was reasonable. We will eat here again.
Great place!! Wife and I like going there for lunch or dinner. Service is Good and food quality excellent with wonderful daily specials.
It is always a pleasure to eat at OBriends. It is a favorite meeting place for lunch with my friends. Service is always good, Daniel is especially outstanding as a server. We are always happy when he has our table. Plus their outdoor seating is perfect, not crowded and nice outdoor space.
This is not French. Very average food with an ambiance of an American diner.
This was the first time I'd been back in 7 or 8 years. I was a little disappointed--either my memory was of a slightly better restaurant or they have slipped a bit. The rolls served with dinner were very disappointing--a small matter perhaps, but for the price I expected (and they used to have) better quality breads. O'Brien's used to be known for its salmon specials, but mine was nothing special.
Delicious & Great Service
Crust on scallops was a bit tough. New York strip was full of fat through the steak. Not worth the money unfortunately. Dined many times In the past but never tried the strip so maybe that was bad luck.
Terrific food and a great service made a date night very special.
Food was excellent! We had Mixed Grill and Shrimp & Scallop Risotto. Wonderful experience and we will definitely go back.
It was our first time there but it won’t be the last! Great food (crab cakes were divine!), lovely selection of wine, and the ambiance was perfect!
Valentine's dinner, very pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable waiter, background music was exactly that - in the background and not so we would have to shout over it to hear each other (very refreshing!) Food was very good as always.
We had a very nice dining experience. There are so many items to choose from from appetizers, main course, and deserts. Our server Ryan was prompt and treated us very well.
O'brian's Bistro is one of our go-to quality restaurants and I've never had a bad meal there. The food is always great as is the service. Ambience is their problem. It's a fairly small place that just plain needs a remodel! Also a bit disappointed in their drink menu (there is a wine menu but no drink menu).
Daniel was great ! Our food was amazing ! We will be back . Recommend shrimp and scallops .
took an hour to get food. Mgr came to apologize but did not offer to comp drinks or desserts.
Always great food and service. The most consistent restaurant in the area.
As always, excellent service, thank you Ryan. Food was great. Always feel welcome when we dine here.
Nice menu selection, good wine by the glass choices, great service.
Amazing as always! They never disappoint
We had a great server, great food and great ambience until a party of 12 came in and was seated next to us. They were so loud we could not even talk across the table. In fact, there were two parties of 12 in the little room we were in. In the future they should not seat smaller tables in the room with big parties ever! And we even had a reservation, so you would think we would have gotten a better table.
Food not as good as our last visit a month ago. Scallop appetizers seemed precooked, dried out, not fresh. My chicken picatta was very dry. Service was great, drinks and salads and soups all good. Very busy night, which is great.
Soup and sandwiches were great had the mushrooms tarragon soup wow
